I seem to be having some issues with my stock battery stats showing false info, have attached some screens of both the android stats and the stats from gsam battery monitor
One plus running cm12 nightly, clean flashed 15/02/15 build and then dirty flashed 19/02/15 build,
My stock stats are showing my screen as using 9% battery with 3 and a half hours screen on time seems stupidly low, i use auto brightness and about 30% brightness),however WhatsApp is showing the same amount of battery drain with only 2mins of app usage. When I look at gsam it shows totally different info.
When looking at these stats it might be worth noting that Spotify and all stream were streaming music to my apple TV for 2-3 hours and only show around 4% usage on battery stats.
Any help would be appreciated, not sure if I need to recalibrate the battery? Iv read that on a few threads while searching for info
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, having been made aware of it by a member of the Tom's Hardware forum.
I bought a T-Mobile LG Leon one month ago. For most of that time, I was getting 3-4 days of battery life with fairly light use, WIFI on, Bluetooth on some of the time. In the last few days the battery life has decreased significantly, so I decided to keep a log of the charge status. For this test, I turned off WIFI, Bluetooth, and Sync. Screen brightness is set to 48%, and screen timeout is 30 seconds. As you can see from the log below (sorry about the formatting, copied from an Excel spreadsheet), I am now getting just over a day's worth of battery life, with the phone being turned off overnight. During this test, I had no applications running. The only application that I recently downloaded from the Google Play store that I thought may be eating up the battery life is "Friend Locator", so I force stopped it for the duration of this test.

Please let me know if additional information is needed, or whether I posted this in the right place (I couldn't seem to determine how to post in a specific section). Since I am pretty new to this phone, is there an app or setting that will tell me what is using the battery?
Thank you in advance for any advice.
It seems that you need to clear the cache of the device.
Goto settings. Open storage and there clear the catch by clicking on it.
I am sure that this will help to restore not fulley but partial battery life.
And you may also try factory reseting the device.
That will help too.
The problem.can also be a system.update

OK, I did clear the cache, it contained about 73MB. At this point I do not want to do a factory restore, as I have downloaded and installed several apps which I will be using. Also, I turned off the "Location" service, having read on another thread here that Location can use a lot of battery power. It is on the charger now, I will monitor the battery status once 100% charged. Thank you for the response.
Ok then use es file explorer to make backup apk files of apps you downloaded from.play store and install the on any device when ever you want to.
Just for knowledge
I flashed the 4.4.2 (CM11) according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303. I did a battery baseline test:
turn off BT, WIFI, put into air mode, without any apps installed, leave for 3.5 hours, the battery level is down to 85%! I checked the battery usage, the #1 usage is from "Phone Idle"! It consumed more than 50%, the time on "Phone Idle" is almost exact same the the test period, only couple of minute less than 3.5 hours! Why? what process is "Phone Idle"? If it is really idle, why consume battery?
Can the battery indicator in settings>battery be reset to default without resetting/restoring the phone to factory defaults ?
When I got the phone the time/hours remaining, was larger than it is now, at a certain procentage of remaining battery. I believe that the software has learned how many hours the battery will last at "my usage", but I guess it will take some time to unlearn if "my usage" gets less and increase the hours of battery time.
I hope it makes sense
Maybe it doesn't work that way at all
Is there any way to completely erase the statistics regarding battery usage in the Settings app?
It seems that when I played with the time settings and recharged the battery, the stats data was completely messed up.
I have tried deleting files under /data/system that might be involved and deleting the settings app storage.
