ROM stock firmware Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE SM-G935F ROOT TWRP Drivers - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Discussion

Mod Edit links removed

I'm the first one crazy enough to root G935FXXU1APAW without to read any feedback?

Maybe

Please change the title of this thread!!!
This is simply a download list of official roms and has no reference to "ROOT TWRP Drivers"
Also, I would download directly from SamMobile or directly from Samsung rather than a Russian site!... Unless others can verify that the site is OK?

[Q] Rooting Samsung Ace S5830D

Greets
Have tried two methods to root this phone, superoneclick and up_d.zip from the tutorial and both fail.
The specs on the phone are as follows: Model No-S5830D with Gingerbread build number DTLKI4. What is interesting is the Kies tells me that this models firmeware cannot be upgraded with Kies. Phone is distributed in Canada by Koodo not sure if that makes a difference but the build no is different from anything Ive seen on line.
Suggestions, recommendations, reading sources most welcomed.
Best and kind regards

You could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1282011.
Same error message as with all the other methods I tried so far:

What ended up working was this link and file, AceGingerbreadroot.zip from android flip dot com

You could paste the link please?
can you please add the file to root the ace S5820D
Rooting the S5830D from Koodo
I've rooted this phone yesterday.
1. Using stock recovery install root zipped file AceGingerRoot.zip (see below)
2. Use BML5 method to find unlock code and use it for unlocking on this stock rom, or use market
Unlock Galaxy Ace app, which is doing the same
3. Install CWM version 4 zipped file ClockWorkModAce.zip (see below)
4. Update to CWM version 5 recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip (see below)
Now you can install the ROM of your choice on your fully unlocked and rooted Ace.
Don't forget to nandroid all original and other ROMs so you can painlessly use the working configuration
Thank you so much for coming back with your solution pgavril. I had the exact same problem with the same phone from Koodoo and you solution worked flawlessly.
Again to help other people search for this problem find this thread, it was.

Thanks again for your help pgavril.

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
You will need to find and download your stock firmware and flash that through Odin.
The thread linked below has the stock firmware for different variants of your phone. I did not see the firmware for your R7 model but I did see a post that said the user successfully flashed the SM-G925R4 stock firmware on their G925R7.
SM G925 stock firmware
You can post your questions in that thread.
If you would rather find the actual stock firmware for your device then you can try going to Sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com.
There is also this tool that you can use to find your firmware, it is supposed to download faster than Sammobile or samsung-updates.
SamFirm Tool

Screwed up my S7

I have a Straight talk galaxy s7 SM-G930VL that I wanted to root. I followed a video on youtube and did get it rooted, although it's buggy as hell and i cant do almost anything without a "stopped responding" message. I Used Odin to flash an AP file that was given from the video, now when i boot up my S7 it has a little lock that says Custom. To my understanding that means it's detecting a custom rom is in use. Well this custom rom is slowing down my phone, bootlooping at some points, and being a real pain. I can't find the original firmware anywhere online and it's becoming a real headache for me. I need some help figuring out how to get my stock firmware back if possible, or some other solution.
If any other info is needed, I will be glad to provide it, thank you.
Edit: Now I can't even boot up the system. When i do, it says Samsung Galaxy S7 then the little lock icon that says custom, powered by android.
Also I used the recovery settings and it says it can't mount /system
So as of right now, my phone is totally useless.

[Completed] Help changing ROM on Samsung Note 3 SM-N900V from Verizon

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900V from Verizon and I have been trying to change it to the DarkLord ROM that is a Modded Mix between Note 7 & Edge ROM.
I at first had problems rooting the phone with Odin (it always failed) so I search and search and found a tool called ArabicTool which took care of it and finally I rooted my phone, after that I tried adding TWRP so I could change the ROM but every time I added the recovery tool I got the message saying that the “System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone” and then had to do an emergency restoration using Kies3 and the cycle began again with other methods but always the same result.
I would like to know if anyone has a way to change the ROM on a SM-N900V from Verizon, I have seem some guides that claim the process works with the SM-N900V but every time I try to do them I get the message of software not authorized when I install the recovery app TWRP and then I have to do an emergency restore in Kies3.
Please help anyone it would be really appreciated.

That rom may not be compatible with your device, the verizon variant is different to the other note 3's. I'm pretty sure the verizon note 3 is locked bootloader but if you ask your questions here

the experts there will be able to confirm this for you

So happy

Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930S which firmware for rooting, this one seems slightly off...

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930S which just updated to 7.0 today.
The Build number in the phone reads:
NRD90M.G930SKSU1DQJ1
So far the only CF Autoroot I have found is CF-Auto-Root-herolteskt-herolteskt-smg930s.zip, and the download page, and the download pages, https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/, says it is for:
NRD90M.G930SKSU1DQG1
but all the other info on that line is correct for my phone model.
A google search for a CF file for NRD90M.G930SKSU1DQJ1 leads me nowhere. I have found a few other CF files for the 930S, but they have no reference to the build number at all. There is one site, I believe in Vietnam, https://s-update.samsungvn.com/, which has the correct build of
NRD90M.G930SKSU1DQJ1
but it is not a CF file, I believe it is an OEM build.
Is the NRD90M.G930SKSU1DQG1 a typo?
Please, would someone clarify or clear up this issue for me?
Thank you.
Use magisk instead if you want root ans if you are not sure about supersu. You may want to install a custom rom. Custom roms provide root. I have a g930L with superman rom... Rooted.
Thank you.
I did end up finding the newly released, Nov 1 version of the "J" firmware. My phone had auto-updated to 7.0, so I left that alone, and used ODIN to root. So now stock root, maybe heading to convert to "F" version with USA/AT&T CSC.
