Unblocking offensive language? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

i thought there was a feature you can enable/disable of censoring swear words when using voice to type messages.. i can't find it, did they remove it or what? i'm on tmobile version btw, don't know if that makes difference.

It's there on mine, maybe because I installed Google Keyboard. But I have a block offensive words option in both the google keyboard and the google voice typing.

It's in Google Now settings.

Go to language and input then go to virtual keyboard then click on Google Voice you should be able to turn it off from there

..no gapps user here, can someone post apk, please?
Hi,
I didn' find "Translator Widget" or " Widget Translate" in my "Gogole Play" v5.5.12 (I'm in France). :silly:
SOLUTION : Search another "DroidBTX" application like "Floating Toolbox", then i found this app "Widget Translate".
After it's easier.......Install, just add the widget and test it.
Thanks for this cool and operational widget. :good:
PS: Can you please change your thread name by the real application name "Widget Translate" and add maybe add more info in the title.

Maybe, when yo try the translation your connection wasn't good at the time. If any mobile data, when you try to translate it indicated "No internet connection".

Open ANY App in Multiwindow!

While poking around in the developer options, I found an option at the very bottom to "force activities to be resizable", which allows just about any app to be opened in Multiwindow.
I have never seen this before, so I thought it'd be interesting to share if anyone else wanted to make better use of our large screen!

text selection drag indicators behind keyboard

This issue is driving me insane and I can't figure out how to fix it ....
I am using Gboard right now because I can't stand Sammy's default keyboard .... Plus I like the integration of translate etc ...
Anyways the problem that I am having is with the drag indicators for the text selection being behind the keyboard at the very bottom ... this is also the issue when trying to select text for spelling correction.
I switched back to the Sammy keyboard to verify the same issue .... No joy ....
It makes selecting text extremely hard to deal with ....
See the attached screenshot .....
Any fix for this .... ?
Very strange. I just tested on mine because I love Gboard, and mine doesn't do that. On my screen, the little indicators float to the front layer and actually enlarge and shrink when I grab them. Do you have the latest version of Gboard?
---------- Post added at 07:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:53 PM ----------
Does this happen in all apps? Which apps where you using in the screenshots?
Mine does this. Can't stand it.

Yes I am running the newest version of gboard so I don't think that is the issue I have also tried to disable gboard the behavior is the same using the default Samsung keyboard .....
The behavior is encountered using WhatsApp and the default text message client pre-installed with the default Samsung TouchWiz.
Also just tried typing a message with telegram and the results are the same.......
However while using the xda app for posting this message the issue does not seem to exist see the attached screenshot.
I just fixed the issue ......
As I suspected it was a screen overlay issue ...
The app causing the problem was navbar ....
Uninstalled the app and the problem went away.
That really sucks because I like the idea of being able to choose my own colors and all the extra features that was included with navbar....
I guess it's back to the default software button colors until navbar development can fix the issue ....
Good find thanks for the update.

not seeing this in the real playstore mate... even under the KewlApps profile....
Just wanted to say this app is great. However in the latest beta, clear notifications quit working on my Google pixel running Oreo. It was working in prior versions.

If you may be compelled by law enforcement to unlock your phone by finger print but not by pattern or pin, it would be nice to be able to shut down the phone completely by fingerprint gesture.

If you can install google apps. Yu can try to use lawnchair version 2 and pixel bridge. Works for me
I tried to get it working, but failed.
The only thing working is saying "ok google" when I have the assistant app opened. This is not what we seek here unfortunately.
u can set assistant to google, and then slide from bottom left or right to activate it. but yeah, i think voice activation would be alot better. im used to it for a long time on my old phone

Guys, both solutions have nothing to do with the problem described.
I've tried both methods, none of them makes Google Assistant to work with voice when Mate 30 Pro is in standby.
If you managed to run it, please show us.
