Got my pre ordered edge in Dubai from the Samsung store. Disappointed with the camera function, as it kept on giving an error, Warning Camera failed
Tried to wipe data and cache from application manager, rebooted into recovery, wiped cache, but still the same. At last formatting the phone to factory settings worked. Unfortunately the same again repeated after 2 days, when again had to factory reset. Very upsetting for a premium phone, as I've been a user of all Galaxy S series and the Note 4, but never faced this issue
Anyone who has faced a similar issue? What is the solution?

Its not the SD card as us with Dual Sims are not using a card, apparently it's to do with playstore, usually just by resting settings resolves the issue but you can clear camera cache too
Hi. I have had this issue also. The fix for now is to turn off Smart Stay and reboot your phone. Samsung know about the issue and are working on a fix for it.
I had the same issue. Didn't know it was smart stay. Did a factory reset and disabled Skype since I thought it was the cause as the camera stopped working immediately after Skype force closed. Good to know though! We'll get a fix soon enough. Samsung said they'd had numerous calls/complaints.
switching off smart stay worked for me - in selfie mode camera worked but minute tried turn it round i got the error. and then it was frozen and couldn't switch it back.
annoyed as this is a pretty fundamental thing to be tested on a hand set - especially as the camera changes are one of the improvements advertised for the phone
I was getting really hacked off with my camera constantly crashing. I tried all of the tips and tricks I and everyone else suggested (Smart Stay/SD card/wiping cache/factory resetting/blah), none of them worked.
In the end before I decided I was going to ditch the phone, I flashed firmware for my region (BL, AP, CP and CSC), along with a full wipe and I haven't had a problem in 4 days now.
I'm very happy.
heya, i had same problem, tried to delete camera data, force close app, power off, restart etc...
but what actualy helped me is wipe cache partition and camera started working again (press vol up + home + power after power on)
I got mine on 3.11.16 USA ,and I like the camera it's really fast. Haven't checked quality yet

My newly bought shiny LGO3D phone has a habbit of randomly shutting itself down no matter what ROM / Firmware i have on it.
I've tried stock, king ROM, and a few others. all randomly shutdown. i wouldnt mind if it had rebooted by itself at least it would come back on but it just goes off!
i reach into my pocket -- lo and behold the phone is off!
I've read lots of Optimus2x threads about a similar issue ... some blame the android system and some blame the hardware.
i wonder why there isnt a log in the android system describing an error or whatever?
can anyone help?
maybe your battery is a bit loose?
go stick some strips of paper at the bottom edge of the battery to make sure its nudged tight.
not sure, maybe a possible solution
i think i may have solved this issue...
what i did was this:
install CWM and reboot into the CWM menu.
i deleted everything. cache, delve cache, battery stats, everything thats deletable i did it.
i am currently using king_rom (which was doing the same problem for me to start with) and i can say the phone has been running ok for about 2 days now.
keeping fingers crossed.
usually cache + dalvic + battery states are deleted on every rom flash
if it appears again pull out your sdcard
fixed all reboot issues for me... wonderful to have a phone able to play 3d + record 3d/1080p and cant use a sdcard
hoping the 2.3 update will fix it

Just got a replacement N5 from Google for a warranty issue and after full re-root and setup I went to get in the car today and use bluetooth and I noticed a problem. Bluetooth will not turn on. Tapping the slider moves the position to on but it remains greyed out and, in fact, off. I tried a restore of the bluetooth share and pairings from Titanium backup and that just hung and never completed. I can always factory reset it but I hate to go back through that ... anyone got a way to 're-install' bluetooth and save a reset and reconfiguring for me?

This apparently has been problem for Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. One poster from android central posted this for his Nexus 4:
I called Google technical support and they found a solution for me.
-In your Nexus 4, go to parameters/Applications/All/Bluetooth
-Here: erase cache, data and updates.
-Resart your phone.
In Nexus 5 Settings>Apps>All>Bluetooth Share. There you might try Clear data and Clear cache.
Got nothing to lose. Hope it works. I cannot test it myself since my Bluetooth is working.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had looked around and saw a couple mentions loosely similar related to the N4 but wasn't sure if same applied to N5. Looking though ... I do not have a bluetooth share app installed. That must be the issue, anyone got a way to re-install that Bluetooth Share, seems my backups from Titanium won't restore it.
Found thread where someone had your issue and solved it with reset.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/activate-bluetooth-t2595761
Maybe you could do backup to PC and get this restored with reset.
I know it is a PITA.
I figured a reset would square it away, was just hoping to find a way to avoid that if I could. I suppose next w/e I will reset if I don't find another way to get BY back.

When I run this app, it says no BT folder found. Seems the issue is that somehow this BT Share app just isn't there.
Another fix...
I know you already solved your problem, but I thought for people like me, who have found this thread later on, I'd just sign up to XDA and post my fix.
I didn't want to do a hard reset, so I played around with the "Bluetooth-Share"-thing in the Android app manager.
I cleared the cache and the data, that didn't do anything, even after a reboot I couldn't get the Bluetooth toggle from beging greyed out.
After that, I found that button at the very top right, that is labeled as " Uninstall Updates" or something like that. I tapped it and tapped OK at the following prompt. Where the "Uninstall Updates" button was before, should now be a greyed out "Disable" button. Then you need to reboot.
Try to enable Bluetooth. The toggle should turn blue after a few seconds as usual. Bluetooth should work normally now.
I hope my post helped anybody, :cyclops:

I am not having any luck. My bluetooh stopped working after doing a hard reset. Please note I've never rooted or flashed a ROM, or unlocked boot loader or anything. My N4 and N5 have always been completely stock.
I've tried everything in this thread, except I am not sure what hiwye is talking about as I cannot find an uninstall updates. I went ahead and tried another factory restore/wipe and still have same issue. I hit toggle to turn Bluetooth on, it then immediately toggles back to off.
Just as a side note, my bluetooh was working fine until the factory wipe/reset. I did the reset in an attempt to fix a sim card slot issue, that is also still not resolved. Upon restarting my phone, I get "no sim card" message. I got a new sim card and also confirmed the sim card works fine in other phones..... i can turn off, pop it out and back in and boot it again. sometimes it will see the sim card again. It may take 20 times, but finally work..... I should probably start a new thread on the sim card thing, but wondering if my motherboard needs replaced.....

I get the same Sim card missing screen I have tried a new sprint Sim and same issue. They way I have been fixing it is to pop off back cover and where the vibration motor sits (stays attached to cover) I put my finger in the hole and squeeze the 2 parts together and hold tight till it finishes booting and it will see the card. I'm not sure what's exactly the problem is but it works as temp fix and will stay until the next reboot.

Only device so doing it and taking PUC not gonna happen let me look up some images and I'll post them its not that difficult if you have had the back cover off before its very obvious where motor is. The motor is literally just under the flash led. Pop off cover starting at the top and slowly down each side with a guitar pick there is a tiny bit of adhesive at the bottom of rear cover about where the soft keys are when phone is on. Peel that up slow and you will see the vibration motor stuck to rear cover. See the space it came out of and put finger in that hole. And other finger opposite the first one on the glass and squeeze.... Not crazy so you break screen. Don't take much pressure. Start light and boot it. Says no Sim, try again with a little more pressure. When it first happened I googled sh*t for 2 days and couldn't find a fix. And this worked when I tried and a few reboots after. I shut phone off or battery dies I gotta do it to get Sim recognized.

Worked for me, thanks.
Hi,
I finally found a S6 with good button and display, but I think I have again bad luck: from time to time, camera is failing and is not related to low power because I encounter the issue at 80% battery level.
I tried factory reset, clear cache and data, and it comes back. But always, the camera is working after pressing Clear all in Smart Manager. If I simply kill the processes using the standard task manager, the camera shows the same error.
if it's an hardware problem, as I read online, why works after clean all operation? Please give me an advice. I have stock ROM, without root or special app(just fb, dropbox installed)

Bring S6 back to Samsung for warranty repair check
Two days ago I tried again a factory reset, and then I installed nothing. Camera was working always, and I started gradually to install my basic app, when I search for Gear Fit Quick Setting and I saw a comment (I have a gear fit watch)
This app somehow affects the camera. I saw a comment there with a similar problem, but the phone was S5.
I didn't install the camera and the camera works always.
Help. My camera will not open.
Just got my Note 7 during the middle of this week and waited until the weekend to start setting it up. As I was setting up Samsung Pay and trying to add a card, the camera failed to open. I went to the home screen and click on the camera app and it FC'd with "Warning Camera Failed".
I hit youtube to see what's going on and find that this was a common issue with S7 and S7 Edge. I attempt all the fixes that worked for those devices (force stop, wipe cache, wipe & reset data, start in safe mode), but no luck. I take it back to my local Sprint corporate store, no luck on full wipe either. They state its a defective device.
Sprint already has a replacement being mailed out, but has anyone else experienced this and if so, where you able to solve your issue?
Wow...haven't heard this one yet. At least they are replacing it for you.
Not the same problem but I find this annoying about mine. I have quick launch camera turned on. Than a pop up message shows up "camera has been opened via quick launch". If I don't select ok. It closes the camera. Is this normal?
Hi. My device worked just perfect until 5 days ago. It slowly began to ignore some tasks like opening apps or doing calls.
2 days ago my google pixel with Android 8.0 started to ignore every input i made, like opening apps or trying to reboot. It behaving like this after taking some pictures with the rear cam. After some attepts in opening apps it started to reboot. But instead of a normal reboot it stuck in a booting screen (the one with the Google G and a gray animation bar underneath). It took a while and i waited until it seemed that the OS booted correctly. But after this my device started to reboot randomly after a few minutes. After a while i figured out, that i can hold the power button while the screen with the google G was up to reboot it normally. This worked so that the phone was at least half an hour or more working until it rebooted again out of nowhere.
So far i tried to get it in safe mode and delete some apps like whatts app etc. In safe mode i didnt notice any crashes so far.... but in normal one it does a lot so deleting apps wasnt helpful. Turning on flight mode was not helpful either.
What can I do? What could it be?

Same thing happens with my Pixel, sometimes the phone is just get stuck on some random screen then I have to press and hold it for 15 seconds to let it reboot again. Lately I have started to see another problem, when it reboots bunch of google apps and services stops working and gives hell lot of notifications. All this started to happen after Android Oreo update

Same problem after android 8.0 update
If you have installed the latest Google phone/dialer app, that is likely the problem, was for me.
Find the app in settings and uninstall,it will roll back to a previous version and hopefully fix your issues.

My pixel does the same thing, ever since I updated to 8.0, have you tried doing a factory reset? I haven't done it yet, I have been uninstalling apps for the last couple of days, when it is in safe mode it works good, but when it's not, it freezes and restarts. I'm going to try uninstalling the latest version on google dialer to see if it helps.
I just want to update everyone in case you are having a problem with the random reboots.
I uninstalled the phone update and it was still randomly rebooting so I backed up the stuff that I needed and just did a factory reset. I have been a full day on my phone without any problems. I did a factory reset twice, just in case, for some crazy reason, the phone still had a problem, I wiped it twice! I think you'll be good with only wiping once.
Anyways to sum it all up, I did a factory reset, restored all of my backed up data from my pixel, I had about 120 apps and the phone has not had a problem since. I hope it helps someone else.

Mate, please report if you're still getting the reboots. Mine disappear for two weeks after I do a factory reset and then come back. Same happens in Safe Mode. Bug report claims it's 'Sense Key : Hardware Error [current]' and Google rep says it's a hardware issue (Toshiba's memory or something). Buganiser thread is here.
wrong place sry
Had this on my pixel xl. I was on the 8.1 beta.
factory reset, rolled back to 8.0
8.1 ota official
haven't had a reboot in over a week now

Yea, the issue is back, has been for about 2 weeks. This phone is really starting to be a pain in the ass, I can't believe that it happens so often. Did you do a warranty fix?
That's a pity. Yes, I did. Got the device roughly two and a half weeks ago. Flashed 8.0 and then sideloaded 8.1 right away. Knock on wood, all good. But there's still a report every other day in Buganiser of a phone even on 8.1 doing this.
Got mine at release. November 16. Google won't replace it either. I have a one pixel brick
I have the same problem. However, it is not frequent enough on Android P beta. But as soon as I go back to the stable build, it starts to do the same thing. Did you guys have any luck resolving this or should I send it back to the vendor I bought it from. They won't replace the device in Pakistan but may be will fix it in some manner.
