It works fine for me. I deodexed the stock Sprint ROM just fine. I used version 1.0.2.6 of Superr's kitchen. The newer versions caused bootlooping. Also, no apps optimizing at boot. Just took literally forever to boot for the first time. Just gotta be patient. I could upload the system image I created, but, you either have to use download mode to flash it, or TWRP 3.0 or greater. Creating a zip didn't seem to work.

Ok, is working.

how did you deodexed the stock MM 6.0.1 rom? please help me out

You need Linux, 64 bit. I used Ubuntu.
Get the RUU Decryptor in the Android development section, and Superr's kitchen 1.0.2.6 and the Sprint 6.0.1 RUU exe. The readme should contain the instructions on how to decrypt the ROM, and the program should spit out a system.img and a boot.img
From there, make a new project in Superr's kitchen, copy the files into the project folder, extract for new ROM, go to ROM tools, and deodex and root.
Just build a system.img, from there, you can use the latest TWRP and flash it. Don't try making a .zip, it won't flash.
I could compress the system img I made and upload it somewhere if you can't do it yourself.

Would you be willing to upload your build? I haven't found a working 6.0.1 deodex Sprint rom yet. On Windows. Otherwise, I'd attempt your thoughtful instructions myself.

could you post that?

Yes, I will try and compress it as much as I can. I might have to have you guys torrent it from my PC. I have a decent internet connection so you shouldn't have to wait too long. I'll also upload the boot.img I created. Ill be home at 12am PST so I'll get right on it.
I've been running it for over a month now no problems.

Be warned, it will take FOREVER to boot the first time, give it 20 minutes or so. Make sure you're already on 6.0.1 firmware and using a Sprint device of course. I posted in the Apps and Themes section in the Compatible Xposed modules thread about modules I'm using if you want to take a look at that. It's quite a list, and everything I'm running works fine. I even enabled the AOSP lockscreen and am using Lockscreen Widgets.

i don't even have a version of 6.01 for sprint i have an odex and deodex for 6.0 lol anyway could you include this as well sorry don't mean to be bothersome

Here are all the files you'll need. If you're not on 6.0.1, download 2PQ9IMG.zip and put it on the root of your SD card, and flash it. Then, after that, download the superr_6.0.1 zip, extract files and use fastboot to flash them.
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Don't forget to reinstall twrp. I've included the latest one as of writing in the Google drive folder. Xposed v81 is also there, as well as SuperSU 2.71 beta.

[NotBooting][Dev]TekROM - D850 - Stock 20f - Lollipop - Deodex/Root/Busybox

NEW THINGS ARE COMING. KEEP AN EYE OUT.
Hello!
I have taken the system.img and boot.img from the flashable zip for 20f that @autoprime made and made a ROM base. It is prerooted, deodexed, has busybox, and has support for ArchiDroid Init.d (basically Init.d found in the ROM, not the kernel). It should be ready to flash as is, but a more experienced dev may want to look through my updater-script. It was created using ArchiKitchen (Busybox and ArchiDroid Init.d) and JoelDroid Batch Deodexer (Deodex system apps, priv-apps, and framework). Please flash with caution. I believe everything is kosher, but I haven't attempted to flash it myself. Just like with autoprime's flashable zip, please flash the modem before flashing this if you are upgrading from KitKat. Feel free to use this as your ROM base, just give me credit if you use it.
It's been pointed out to me that I didn't mention whether it was debloated or not. I ran the archi and romcleaner debloat scripts found in ArchiKitchen on it. I am not sure if this wiped the at&t specific apps or not. I also believe Carrier IQ is still enabled. I wasn't sure how to clean Carrier IQ out.
The Q&A thread is here. Not sure why it isn't accessible from the bar at the top like usual.
Instructions for flashing:
REMEMBER TO MAKE A BACKUP!
1a. If coming for KitKat or AOSP Lollipop ROM, wipe data/facory reset and wipe system.
1b. If already on stock Lollipop, dirty flash SHOULD be ok.
2. Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache (optional).
3. If coming from KitKat, flash updated modem for 20f.
4. Flash ROM.
5. Rewipe Cache and Dalvik Cache (optional).
6. Reboot to system.
To fix issues with xposed, after flashing the xposed zip, download and flash the zip here to stop the Force closes. Alternatively you can freeze quick circle and the weather widget apps prior to flashing xposed.

Also, if anyone tests this before I get a chance to. Would you please report back here? and if it boots fine, please PM me screenshots to add to the database.

Not really. I'm not a true dev per say. I just set this up as a base for other devs to use. got the basic stuff out of the way. As I mentioned in the OP. I haven't flashed this yet, so exercise caution when flashing. Everything should be fine, but it does include the boot.img, so if everything isn't proper, it may be bad. Either way, if you decide to flash, please make a backup before and keep the KitKat restore file readily available.

I've been around for a while now. Attempted several large projects, but usually ran out of time. As such, I generally only deodex and such for other devs to use, but if I can find the time, I will definitely try to expand this. I will also post a truly debloated version at some point. I might attempt to flash it soon. It only affects system and boot.img, so if the boot.img is set to extract to the proper block (I checked against my own D850 for the proper mount block), everything should go fine.

Sounds like a boot image issue.

This same issue happened when folks with a custom recovery tried to take the ota for Stock Lollipop. I wonder if the same fix for that will work here.

That's odd and somewhat unlikely, since I flashed the exact same one from autoprimes system.img and boot.img. Did everyone that flashed upload their modem as well? And did everyone wipe properly?

Okay, beg pardon for being dense, but what do you mean, 'flash'? How? Should I fire up Odin on the computer? Is it an Android Debugging Bridge method of running a script? Do I need to use Odin anyway, to flash that older kernel first? Perhaps just use my S5 to download and install the zip? Am I making it too hard? I know I must be.
I like to follow instructions, and the 1st one has me scratching my head.
Thanks.

Are you rooted on a lollipop rom
Yes. OptimalROM 5.0 by BigBot96. It's working great.
I am a flash junkie from way back, and I thought I was 'done', what with this complex locked bootloader safestrap business. Is this light at the end of the tunnel really is a train? I'm a wreck for flashing different flavors. The Odin back and forth on kernels has soured my interest in the whole flashing thing.
I'm interested. This sounds like a good workaround.

Gotcha. I just assumed it was an updated version and flashed it. (S5 was on BOC4) and seemingly worked fine. Looked @ both zips, nothing jumped out at me as different. Except md5. Lol
Thank you for responding. You have to be a busy man, and super talented to do all you do with the locked BL. Amazing. Half the ROMs I see have your name. I'd love to see what you could do w/o restrictions.

It will work fine on lollipop rom Basically the only difference is the V2 doesnt put the apks in there own folders inside of system/priv-app folder. On kitkat the apk were not in seperate folders and would not read the apps if they were in their own seperate folders. I then figured if you were on kitkat you already would have safestrap installed to be able to flash a zip. So basically I decided to leave the zip as is so the safestrap zip if flashed on kitkat rom would leave the apk's in their own folder causing the system not to read them therefore causing your original safestrap apk to not be overwritten. Basically what im saying is I wasted my time making V2 but if you flashed it you are perfectly fine!

Thank you in advance.

I've been running it for two days now and haven't had a problem yet. Good work. Can't wait for further development. Couple of questions though, have you been able to set SELinux to permissive? And you said this is a insecure boot.img, what's the advantage of that? I'm still trying to understand the purpose of an insecure boot.img.

I took some Google apps out and METRO apps. I left the device unlock app and mymetro. I am going to take @sandix back up and run it through the kitchen. Than after upload you will have to wait for him to release it since it is his work.
Anything issues to report? I finally finished setting up my build environment using Ubuntu 16 so I am going to see if I can get a custom build going.
Currently running the rom, it's going pretty well.
Kinda sad that the kernel doesn't make SELinux permissive but I guess I can live with it.
UPDATE: Scratch that, the phone completely refuses to boot after install xposed + modules.

What version of xposed did you use? You need the one for Samsung devices.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
This should help you out. Be mindful that it takes a long time to boot up.

Same one I've used since I first setup this phone. I rebooted after enabling the modules and took a quick nap. Phone was still at the metro pcs part of the boot.

I would suggest that you reflash and don't use the last xposed modules you enable as that maybe what is keeping the phone from booting up.
If a problem occurs from the Rom zip itself please let me know so I can address the issue and if you figure out a fix let me know. [email protected]

Image can be installed through current Twrp or use Odin to flash the tar.

[H918][STOCK] 10i KDZ + IMGs

10i for T-Mobile V20 H918 is out.
It's still anti-rollback v00. :good:
Android Security Patch: 2016-12-01 (dirtycow/recowvery patched)
Download Link
UPPERCUT should work if using LGUP/KDZ.
If you flash this KDZ there is no current root method for 10i... so no TWRP etc (at this very moment anyway).
Everyone who can only boot to download mode.. this should save you.
those w/TWRP already can use the images (or wait for someone to make a flashable "rom" zip.
H91810-system.img.zip is just the system.img compressed, not a flashable zip.
if flashing the stock system.img/boot.img be careful not to lose TWRP..
delete the "recovery-from-boot.p" in system while still in TWRP if you want to be extra safe.
I don't have a V20 and won't be supporting this thread. Just providing files.
Thanks for this. Wonder what the changes from v10d are (other the exploit patch)
If and when someone creates a flashable zip, can we flash SuperSU after we flash the ROM to still have root?
Great.. My replacement is coming today which means it'll probably self update on first boot before I can do anything about it..
I love you daddi
Is this also OTA? I see nothing

yes, that's how it works. tho.. idk if it's user-error or what... sometimes people flash supersu and it doesn't patch the boot.img and when they boot into android they lose twrp. hasn't happened to me but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . so that's why I also suggested removing the recovery-from-boot.p as an option.
people could also just dd the images manually if they don't want to wait for a zip... but I guess those comfortable with dd already know that.

What I usually do is make a twrp back up from my old phone and restore it on the new phone after making a fake backup and moving the old one in the new folder the fake backup created. Theoretically this should restore my google account without ever having to initially setup my account when I turn on the new phone. Right? Or do you think it'll cause authentication issues?

System.img.zip, do I just rename it to system.img? Cause I extracted from zip file and system.img did not flash. But when I renamed it, it flashed but wouldn't boot.

If you really want this, just use the LG Bridge and update it through that. It's much easier than flashing manually and accomplishes the same thing.

Oh sweet! But for the file itself do I need to extracted or rename the file? I flashed the system.img and boot in twrp but it hung in LG logo. And I'm also trying to retain root.

You don't need the file at all. Just download the LG Bridge from the LG website, install the LG Universal mobile drivers, plug in your phone and use the software update option. It does it all by itself, and will restart your phone on it's own.

Do i need to be back factory stock including recovery to use this option? And I'm guessing this way would make me lose root? Thank you for your responses.

You only need to plug in your phone and let it work. Since this is a stock image, you will lose root. Also, the as described in the original post on page 1, the December security patch also patches the dirty cow exploit used to achieve root, so once you flash this, you'll be stock unrooted until a new method comes along.

[ROM] [H918] 10p Stock Rom Flashable Zip - EASY

The link below is a stock flashable zip of the LG V20 10p ROM. I extracted it from the latest 10p KDZ file using kdztools and python 2.7 on Windows. I built the ROM from the extraction using Superrs kitchen version 3 on Linux.
A HUGE thanks goes out to Superr who is ALWAYS helpful and I couldn't do this with out his help.
READ ALL WARNINGS BEFORE PROCEEDING
This rom is not rooted but you can flash magisk or SuperSU to root it. It does not flash recovery. It does not encrypt.
Using magisk it works with both Samsung and Android [email protected] which is the main reason I built it.
Issues: none, but see warnings
Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible if your device gets bricked.
Warnings based on what we know:
WARNING #1 You must flash the 10p modem and bootloader for this to work. If you don't you will soft brick.
WARNING #2 Once you go to 10p modem and bootloader you can't go back to previous versions. If you try you will HARD brick your device.
WARNING #3 10P rom only works with 10p modem and 10p bootloader. Any other combo SOFT bricks.
WARNING #4 TWRP backups of previous versions will not restore correctly once you are on 10p. When you restore a previous version (10k and before) you will soft brick. You can unbrick by just installing the 10p ROM, modem, and bootloader over the top of your restore *****Restores and Backups of 10p roms work just fine.
BOTTOM LINE: Going to 10p is a TOTAL commitment and there probably will never be a way to go back. That said, I'm on 10p and so far it works great.

*****Be sure to thank the OP on that thread!*****
Here's the stock 10p kernel, just for grins. 10n and 10p Kernels are both ARB 1 and work with this ROM
drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3y-9RMsaMSbYk56a2txV3gtMkE
Clean install instructions: twrp backup, wipe, install ROM, install 10p modem, install 10p bootloader, install root of your choice, reboot
Dirty install works fine over Weta ROM or NATF ROM, but not over aosp or lineage roms: twrp backup, install ROM, install 10p modem, install 10p bootloader, install root of your choice, reboot.
Enjoy. Please give thanks if this ROM is helpful for you.

back in business using a modded script from 10k
If it's a modded script than it's no longer a true 10p right?

The script only tells the recovery what to flash and doesn't make changes to boot or system.

Yes its a true 10P. Looks like the rom needs 10p bootloader and modem to function. It's working like a champ for me now. I am uploading and will post after work tomorrow

not sure why anyone would flash the modem/bootloader separately of the full ROM... that's just asking for trouble

I know but if you turn off play store notifications (block them) you won't get bugged about the 10p update and by default you won't accidentally say yes to it ?
I know it says you can't restore previous backups, but can you do a full install of pre-10p ROMs if you decide this one isn't suitable?
