Why Can't I enter boot recovery? - General Questions and Answers

My phone is xolo era. I rooted it 2 days ago, I also changed the startup animation after rooting, then i thought about having on screen buttons, although i have capacitive physical button of my phone, but still. I tried to get on screen buttons by an app called pimp my rom, after switching on-screen buttons, it asked for a restart, which i did. But after that, when i switch my phone on, just after that it says unfortunately, com.google.androidui has stopped working, when I press ok, it comes again, keeps on coming continuously. I also tried to boot into recovery mode, but xolo sign comes up, again screen becomes black, again xolo sign, again black...............
How can I get my phone into recovery or change the rom by computer?
Please help me.

Maybe this can save your phone

But the SPD tool is not detecting my device. I haven't switched on the usb debugging, is it the reason? Now I can't turn it on too, because phone is not functional. Please help me again, thanxx.

SP flash tool can recognize your phone only if is turned off and if you have installed the USB vcom preloader driver

SPD tool is stuck at 'checking baudrate'

Have you installed the driver correctly?

Yeah.. I have installed those driver. USB VCOM preloader drivers are for mediatek, I have downloaded same drivers for spreadtrum. What may be the problem?
Will odin do the job if I try it?

Any other software that can do the job?

Check if the manufacturer of your phone provides a tool like Odin, if not you can only use SP-flash tool.

Nope, nothing like this available. I dont think there is any other way to flash this. Just tell me how can i get to boot recovery. I tried 10000 times by using those buttons but nothing happened. Any other way to boot into recovery?

Are you connecting the phone turned on or turned off, because SP-flash tool can recognize your phone only if is turned off

Turned off, I am even pressing the volume down key while connecting to usb so that it doesnt start charging.
It even recognizes my device, but gets stuck at checking baudrate

When it says checking baudrate try to unplug your battery and then replug-in

when i unplug the battery, it says unplugged, when i plug it back in, it again starts checking
Can it be a problem with my phone ???

OK... Maybe I have the solution now.
Follow this step:
1) Open SPD
2) Load the .pac firmware
3) Open the settings
4) Decrease the baudrate
5) FLash

[Resolved] [Q] I hard bricked Lenovo A536 Mediatek/ MT6582Mdevice

I tried to downgrade the kitkat version because I couldn't update my apps, using a flash tool.
It then shut down and now does not turn on at all. When I plug into the computer the USB gets into a cycle/loop of connect and disconnect. Please help me if you have the time.

I used this one.
forums (dot) lenovo (dot) com/t5/A-and-P-Series/Lenovo-A536-stuck-during-firmware-upgrade/td-p/1744571[/url]
I downloaded the latest firmware from
"THIS is the latest original ROW firmware (PC Flash Tool installation)"
This whole guide was fine, it worked for me.
But the problem was when I tried to downgrade the firmware to an older version.
I tried to replace the lastest official firmware with this one ROM Android 4.4.2 (older official needrom(dot)com/download/lenovo-a536/
sorry can't link websites yet

Thank you so much for staying with me to solve this problem. The phone is fixed.
I followed the
"
For MT6575/ 77
With the battery out, hold the volume up, don't let go & plug in the USB cable will activate META mode for few seconds...Typically, you need to click Download at SP Flash Tool before entering META mode or it will auto disconnected...
"
except I downloaded the lenovo a536 stock rom.
the only thing I did different was that I plugged in (META MODE) and THEN pressed download or else the usb would never be detected (they both show different COM numerals.)
After that I firmly held the whole usb into the phone during the whole flashing, or else it might get automatically disconnected again.
Then I updated/upgraded to the latest firmware, And it is all optimal. :good:
THANKS AGAIN !!!

What did you flash exactly? You sure you flashed something that's specifically made for your phone ?
Also what combination have you tried yet.
Download another stock rom for your phone load scatter text ,click download and connect your phone to PC via USB while holding the vol+button only

Meta mode( usually vol+ button) is the most successful way of of recovering from a hardbrick for lenovo but after looking up your device you guys coonect meta mode dffrntly.now this is the most successful way of unbricking your phone
pick the official ROM for A850i came with A850_203 multilanguage firmware.
You'll need MTK 65XX metamode driver – USB VCOM Preloader driver, if you previously installed then there is no need.
SP Flash Tool to download the firmware to the phone.
(Make sure you have a working version as some so tool don't work as they're supposed to into ,I'm using version 5.1)
Run SP-Flash Tool, map the scatter loading MTK6582 for your firmware, normally inside the firmware folder. It will mapped the necessary file and partition for your device, After that click Download and leave it searching for device, it will start flash when found the device,
so next we need to activate back the dead phone of Meta mode USB Vcom MTK65xx , firstly remove the battery, simply press and hold VOLUME UP & DOWN + Power Button simultaneously while reinsert USB that connect the phone to PC.
The previous SP Flash that searching for device will start the download process just after the META mode activated, if you failed then try repeat the step :fingers-crossed:
And hit the thumps up button if this post has been helpfull good luck:good:

[HELP] Stuck on 1+ logo

Hi guys. I come here in search for help as I already tried possibly all the methods and unbrick solutions that I saw to fix my Oneplus One. Basically when I turn it on it gets stuck on "1+ powered by android" screen. I can't go to Recovery Mode and I can only enter the Fastboot mode if I'm not connected to PC. It doesn't get recognized when I connect it to PC unless I press the "Vol. up + Power" button combination. After this, it gets recognized on windows' device manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" and the phone gets in a mode that doesn't show anything on the screen and apparently necessary to do what's described in this post. This was the last thing that I've tried after I tried several other solutions.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might help me. I love this phone and I hate just the thought of buying a new one.

Try using win7.
PS: did you launched the tool with administrator privileges?
I download the latest adb and fastboot drivers from Android Studio site under command line tools.
Here is a good Article on how to configure the drivers on your machine.https://www.xda-developers.com/adb-fastboot-any-directory-windows-linux/

Bricked Phone USB not recognized by PC

Need help. I was using Miracle Box to flash stock ROM, I don't know how but the phone (Micromax E453) is bricked now. I tried to start phone in Meta Mode (swiched off phone connected to PC by holding volume up button), it worked once, then following some tutorials I uninstalled (and checked, Delete the driver software for this device) MTK USB COM driver under port. Since then phone is not turning on and PC is not recognizing the device. Tired changing the USB cable and even tried it on another laptop, but no go. Kindly share what else I can try. PC has Windows 10 64 bit and MTK preloader vcom driver always has yellow exclamation mark (always installs with error code 10). I have disabled driver signature verificiation.

Did you have USB debugging enabled in the device's system settings before it got bricked? If not, you might not get it to connect via USB and be recognized.

Thank you for your response. Yes, USB debugging was enabled before it got bricked. I was able to successfully see my device when I ran adb -devices command. I was also able to run fastboot commands. Now its completely dead.
