Hi,
AFAIK it could be done via Xposed Module named SIM Number Changer. I use that module to apply my phone number to my SIM card.

Jmz Android Rom V1.04.14.10

Jmz Android Rom V1.04.14.10

This is a completely custom Android rom for TP2. This installs and runs android without booting into Windows Mobile. There is no option to boot to Windows Mobile. It is useless because of all the stuff I removed. Rom was 35MB until I added Android to it. If you have an existing Android build on your SD card, and you want to save it, backup all android files into a new folder before flashing. This will overwrite your current Android build. To read the rom version, 1.XX.XX.XX is my version number, and the rest is the date of the Android build.
Of course, this still has its limitations. Please see port status below to find out.
To install:
Flash like you would any other rom. When asked to click next on first boot, tap next. Then you will boot straight into Android after that.
All bugs are in the development of Android. None are part of my build. To see the current build status of what I am using, go to http://www.androidonhtc.com/wiki/Port_Status
To install additional apps, add the apk file to your sd card under "\storage card\Android\androidapps". Browse to that folder in Android and tap on the file you want to install. To download known working apps go to http://www.ppcgeeks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113463
Where I got the information and all appropriate appreciation for the work done. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=115443
If you have data issues, remove your sim card and boot again. Android 2.1 rom is coming too

I have a SIM card in my sprint tp2. I am assuming that everyone has one by default from their service provider.

Hi, as far as I know, AOSP 6.0 does not support Dual SIM. The problem is that, since this function is not coded by google, neither I have access to the source code of the system, nor there is any standard. So, untill Google implements Dual SIM, I can't support it.
You should try to run the application, it may change the number of SIM #1. If so, just swap the SIMs during the process. Else, you must do it on another (Single SIM) phone.

It seems that you didn't grant the necessary permissions to the app in a previous installation. Try to go to Settings -> Apps -> SIMEditor -> Permissions and check all the list. If it won't work, post the entire logcat (or send me a private message). Thanks

Dual Sim Support would be nice. I tried it with an ZUK Z1. I switch off the second SIM. It shows the Number of the SIM that has to be changed correctly. I can enter an other number but it doesn't change it within the SIM card. Nothing seems to happen.
What exactly does this do? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

If you are able to detect that the program runs on a dual sim phone a short warning maybe enough. For Zuk Z1 i can report: SIM in Slot 1 is working/changeing correctly. SIM in Slot 2 pretends to work, but doesn't change after restart. You have to swap the SIM to Slot 1 and after the number change you have to swap it back to Slot 2. - Anyway I couldn't get a working Mailbox by pressing "1" with this tool, too

Sorry for the delay.
No, you can't "clone" a SIM. You just change the phone number detected by the device (this process is standalone, because SIM memory is overwritten) but your "real" phone number (the phone number assigned by the carrier to the SIM) won't be changed.

hi, just tried for sim 1, it works great
wondering will the future version multi sim support? Thanks
This app worked to change my SIM card reporting an phone number that was set to the SIM before I purchased the SIM and had my number ported.
The provider tried to update it a few times over the network, and it worked. But if I switched the sim to a different phone or changed roms then the setting was lost.
Thank you so much :highfive::good:

Show Phone Information Sim 2

Hi guys,
Is there any way to show Phone Information for SIM 2 on LineageOS/CM based ROM?
I am currently running Lineage OS MM and/or Nitrogen OS N on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
And I know this is not a specific issue on Lineage OS / Nitrogen OS that I used right now.
It is working fine if I am using MIUI ROM based, both of Phone Information is shown. And I can configure the Preferred Network Type to 2G Only in SIM 1 and LTE Only in SIM 2.
But, in this ROM I only able to set it for SIM 1. And I can't put the LTE Only in SIM 1 since I need SIM 1 to be filled with my primary phone number for banking. Then, I put my secondary SIM Card into SIM 2 and I want to put it to be LTE Only.
I have been tried for editing the build.prop out there, and there is no change for it. It is always getting into LTE/GSM auto PRL for both SIM slots.
So, is there any solution for my issue?
Thank you for the attentions.

Magisk module need help testing for China and Korea users.

The firmware does not contain carrier files for China and Korea carriers.
I made a magisk module that installs these carrier files systemlessly.
I don't live in China or Korea so I have no way to test this.
If you're living in China or Korea, please help me test the module to see if it works.
Thanks.
Hi swangjang, thank you for sharing your module! I used QPST to replace the modified xml files to enable 5G, and now I installed your module. The 5G runs well, but I can't tell if it is enabled by your module.
For VoLTE, the switcher appeared in the option, but it dosen't work. When I made a phone call, the network drop to 3G. (My carrier is China unicom)

I think due to dm-verity, the module files don't actually get placed in the system. I'll need to wait until we get TWRP to disable verity.
Can you try and change sim cards to force the phone to reload the mbn file?

Tbh, I don't think it will work.
I plan to install a custom rom (custom roms don't have dm-verity) in the weekend and see if the module works on there. As long as dm-verity is enabled, I don't think any /system modifcation by magisk will work.

Hi, I live in south korea and I have UK version of Pixel 5(GTT9Q).
I'll try this module tonight and see if it works.
May I ask you where did you get mbn files for korean carrier? In my experience, KT and LGU need some efs modification especially for google pixel series, so directly injecting mbn from other device won't work well.

I got the mbn files from Xiaomi Redmi K30. The K30 uses the same chipset as Pixel 5.
Just tested module in south korea, but it doesn't works.
It seems that magisk module is doing it's job. I run root explorer and confirmed that mbm_sw.txt and other additonal korea and china mbn successfully loaded.
But when I run efs explorer, Banner shows "SW_DEFAULT" instead of "LGU".
Maybe Pixel 5 can't load LGU mbn because of some other reason.

Hi, I changed the SIM card of another carrier but the 5G is still enabled, even after I installed magisk completely and restore the original files with QPST, the 5G is still there...
I doubt that the new firewares (Feb and Mar updates) canceled the carrier limitation for 5G.

Hi, I made more variations of the module using different mbn files for Korean carriers. Could you please them one at a time. It would be greatly appreciated.
I tried this with korean LGU, SKT simcard, but efs explorer shows SW_DEFAULT or Wildcard banner randomly.
I did sim tray out and in several times, and did WI-FI, Mobile Bluetooth reset on android settings-system menu.
And I also tried Taiwanese Chunghwa Telecom sim card which i got during taiwan travel, (Chunghwa Telecom is one of supported carrier for pixel 5) And It reports CHT banner correctly.
I don't know why, but it seems that pixel 5 refuses to load korean mbns for some reason.

Yes, I tried all of 6 mbns, but no luck. All recognized as SW_DEFAULT or Wildcard banner.
I'm trying to figure out why only pixel rejects those mbns. Maybe there's some hidden policy to reject unsupported country's sim?

I don't think there would be something that will reject it. Other people reported they got VoLTE working for their 'unofficial' carrier.

Question NFC doesn't working (unique mysterious problem)

Good day!
Poco X3 Pro 8/256 does not want to pay for NFC in any way.
What is the problem? When paying, any terminal beeps 2 times and issues an "equipment error".
I studied a lot of information on XDA/4PDA, I didn't find anything similar to my problem. The problem appeared after unlocking the bootloader and installing the first custom ROM.
What I have:
1) Play Market - the device is certified
2) The SafetyNet test passes
3) Google Pay has all the ticks in the "Contactless set up" menu
4) Root is not installed
5) The problem exists on absolutely ANY ROM except MIUI. Tried on PixelExperience (A11, A12), xdroid, crdroid - all the same
6) I tried to install different firmware from 12.0 to 12.5.7.0 - it's useless
7) Tried using other payment methods SberPay, MirPay - no success
8) I tried to pay with a card of another bank - no success
9) File transfer using NFC and working with NFC tags is working (it means the the NFC chip is alive)
10) I tried a fix with Riru + LSPosed + XPrivacyLua, it didn't help (although there is no need for it)
11) Of course, I tried completely flash MIUI via fastboot, then flash custom ROM again
A few days ago found MatLog and today I saw an error in the log: service com.android.nfc crashes because it can't find the SIM1 (what?)
I understand that maybe I need to toggle the "Secure element position" SIM to HCE (this option is available in MIUI, but there is no in custom ROMs)
I attach the system log and some informative screenshots.
Help out, comrades! This is some kind of mysticism! This is crazy
LOG: https://pastebin.com/ggQ2EquJ
After a month of torment with flashing, one wonderful person suggested a solution to me:
You need to swap the SIM cards (or insert the SIM into another slot, if there is one), then restart the phone.
NFC payment immediately started working!
Eureka!!!

Man you saved my life! I had exactly the same problem, removed one SIM and swapped the other one to the SLOT 1 and gpay works now with custom AOSPs. Thanks for sharing this solution!
Interesting, thank you for the fix.
I've had this exact issue before and only thought to fix it by re-flashing my Pixel Experience ROM. The issue reappeared this week, and I was dreading another clean flash of my Poco F3 device.
Putting my SIM card in the other slot has made NFC work again! My question is, what do I do if the issue reappears? Will it go away by simply swapping the SIM card back to the other slot?
I'll report back if the issue reappears
