New Firmware available I9305XXBMA3 17/01/2013 (4.1.2)

Hi all,
Today Samsung Updates posted a new firmware for i9305 (unlocked), i can't test it right now...anyone flashed it can share opinion?

There is a Firmware For Note 2 and it ends with xxalj3 too
Maybe it is easier to port stuff and Roms from the note 2 as from the normal s3?

Will do, still at least an hour to go, host site is slow as I have 120mb fibre optic!
Does anyone know if I flash this will I still be able to go back to my current rom. Anyone think that root may not work on this? Do we have to wait for a speciifc root or can I just use the same root process as before?

If you have mobile odin, you can flash this and tick the ever root option and you will not lose root, but you can use the same root process as before. I have deodexed, rooted and flashed this, now playing around. It does not seem to have multi window but there does seem to be some minor improvements so far, but still playing around with it.

Thanks for the info. My download finished but then realised I had grabbed ALJ3 and not ALJ4 lol! so just waiting for it to download again.
Did you use ALJ3 or ALJ4? Can you post the de-odexed version somewhere? as downloading from Hotfile is a nightmare!
Shame about multi window though!

I got lj3. I didn't see lj4. I will have to have a look again later but I can't access the sam mobile site at the moment just says bad gateway. I can't upload anything at the moment but will try upload the stock deodexed tonight if get a chance, may need to get lj4 instead though if that's up

Yeah I have the same with sammobile so I grabbed them from http://samsung-updates.com/latest-firmware/
Will not have time to try until later tomorrow now but if you can grab LJ4 may be worth giving it a go!

Finally we have a new rom from October !!! I was beginning to think i9305 would forever lag behind i9300.
Just one question (forgive me as I have never flashed an i9305 rom before, only i9000).
Often with the s1 we needed to repartition when flashing, which wiped data. If I flash over my i9305T stock rom, will all my data/settings be preserved as is the case with a Kies update? I also don't know if the fact that my device is i9305T makes any difference... I have read that others have successfully flashed i9305 roms but I don't know if their data was preserved.
Thx to anyone who can help me! No rush as I'm downloading the rom ever so slowly.. .xD

nobody so far not succeed.. Perhaps someone in the future.. I mean not simply be there in rom but to work correctly...we will have S5 cam

OnePlus 3 Camera full working on G3 - Great for AOSP!

Hi everyone, no credit to me, full credit to @ghbuur who made this for the oneplus 2, but it works great on the G3! 4K, HD/HDR mode works well, photos look great, best camera for AOSP I have found so far!

Me too, install apk manually and copy system folder in correspondig folder. Meta-inf where do i copy it?

Same problem with OP3 and OP2

Guys you won't get much of a benefit on stock, the whole point is to get a camera close to stock on AOSP, this one is as close as it gets but if you have stock, stick to stock camera or x-cam!

Yes i agree.. flash it yesterday....but stock is better....

Anyone have any luck installing this? Every time I flash it's never actually installed upon reboot. D850 on Resurrection Remix 5.7.0

I've been finally install this manually and running good, have an impressive pic also..but there was a bug...when i take a pic on portrait then just got landscape result, so i just got stretch pic (wide)..but would be have normal landscape pic if taken on landscape mode..

You need to make an edit to the kernels arm64 config before it will compile but when you try the make error will tell you where the file is if you don't know

Yeh,well I know that building CM for Exynos is hard,but they have done it in the past. Look at Galaxy S3. I had an i9300 and it still works with CM

Not impossible... I've done it before on Exynos devices and fixed everything for AOKP on OnePlus2 (got it to official) but that was a SD SoC

The only thing stopping us from getting a stable CM build for the S7 is everyone saying it can't be done which it can it just take a bit more time then other devices

Ya i kinda like touchwiz(stupid name i know), can you imagine an aosp camera on the s7? That'll be a cluster**** of a mess, no instant focus, no sdcard support, no nothing, just a featureless app. Try the google camera and you'll see what i mean, takes 1 second to take a pic.

This mod will add one invisible power button in your statusbar. So u can acces your power menu by using this option.
FEATURES
Invisible Power Button In Statusbar clock area
Single Tap on Clock will turn display off
Long Press on Clock will give power menu
Added Unlimited Quick Tiles (OOS N 4.0.0/4.0.1)
Added 5 Quick Tiles In a RAW (OOS N 4.0.0/4.0.1)
