Proximity sensor and Front Facing Camera problems on Marshmallow - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody!
I recently got a very good deal for a Nexus 5, and I decided to retire my old Moto G XT1032.
However, after upgrading to Android MM, I encoutered the following problems:
1) Proximity sensors wasn't working properly --> disabled via xposed module
2) Front facing camera keeps crashing --> I haven't found a solution yet. Is there a way to bring it back to life without downgrading to Lollipop?
problem solved --> clearing cache and data did the trick.... hopefully it will last.

Yep, everything was working properly on Lollipop (I still have a nandroid backup of that ROM).
I installed via TWRP. Bootloader and radio are the latest available (hhz12k + 2.0.50.2.28).
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Are you able to record videos on stock 5.0.2?

Hi all
I flashed stock 5.0.2 on my grouper and I have problems recording videos using any camera apps. I sideloaded Google Camera, CM12 camera and even tried flashing Motorola's Camera and Gallery apps (I had the zip to flash on my GPE Moto G, so I said why not?) And with none of them I'm able to record videos. I can take pictures just fine but as soon as I switch to Videos, it freezes and I have to clear the app's data to be able to open it again.
Do you have the same issue?

I'm not sure about this. I don't own a moto g anymore. I'll finish my CM12 build, get my brother to flash it and test recording. If it works, I'll upload my build. if not, I'll try to find a fix.
Crap, I thought this was the Nexus 7 forum.. Tapatalk screwed me :') mod, close this thread please

External Wifi adapter support CM12s

I have a TL-WN722N external wifi adapter, I want it to connect to my oneplus one as a secondary wifi, but when I connect it through OTG, I am not sure if the adapter is being detected by my device (attached screenshot of dmesg). The ifconfig app for android also do not list the wifi adapter.
Can anyone guide me how I can get it to work and use it as my secondary wifi ?
[EDIT1]
Can anyone guide how i can import the ath9k driver using this guide ?

Try to use nethunter
I tried my tp-link in monitor mode and it works very well.
Sorry for bad english

nethunter worked well with CM11, have used it but with CM12 its not stable, so is there any way to get it work with cm12 ?

yes already tried with 2.0, I had cm11 as secondary rom and used nethubter 2.0 for cm11 that works great with external wifi support as well, but with cm12 its stuck in bootloop, and so i need to get it work with cm12 in my primary rom , so the problem remains external wifi support with cm12 as the device is being detected but drivers are missing, the guides i found for other models aren't working.

MT-L09 Update B571 OTA - locked bootloader and navigation bar hidden option

Hi mates, I searched into the forum but didn' t find any comment regarding this.
I' ve got a MT09 B311 with an OTA for B560 and then (I'm sure) a B571.
Since I have bootloader locked, no root (I don't want to root the device) and already experienced B560 which let me lost the chance to hide the navigation bar after an hard reset, now I would like to know if someone having updated to B571 and performed a factory reset has lost this function, or if Huawei has returned it in place into options menu. I repeat, I don't have root therefore the only available menu (build.prop mod) not applicable in my case.
Thanks in advance to all of you wanna help.

The function is available on kk and lp only, after you update from lp to mm and make a hard reset sure you will lose the function

[BUG] Gyroscope/vr problem in Nougat (Ex: pokemon go, google cardboard)

I know that it has been already posted here, but I wanted go get some more feedbacks by honor 8 owners that updated to nougat
Some apps, including pokemon go (only in AR mode), google cardboard and youtube 360 videos, seems to have problem with gyroscope, as the image spins and shakes continuously. Other apps don't have issues at all (like titans of space vr)
Does everybody have this problem? Could this be a hardware related problem? I read somewhere in youtube about one guy that had his phone repaired by Huawei and his gyroscope started working well
N.B: I noticed that rolling back to marshmallow solves this "bug" for me
Update: some screen recording:
https://youtu.be/X6GEd7TFdE4
i had no issue in nougat , using vr no problem till...
what is your build number
FRD-L09 b380 update
Others too seems to have this problem, here in xda
here you can see what happens:
edit: cannot posts links, it's a video on yt called "honor 8 nougat gyroscope problem"
I have no issues in cardboard design lab for example, but google cardboard app, pokemon go AR don't work and while youtube 360 videos only work when the phone is in horizontal position, facebook 360 videos always work well

I have this problem since b360
I waited for b380 and then 389
Still the exact same problem. I think it could be fixed with emui 5.1, but I don't know if it's going too be released on the standard honor 8 model..maybe it's only for honor 8-pro and honor 9

No, b360 was the first official release of nougat 5.0 update
B380 and 389 are later fixes (not to the gyroscope sadly)

Download a rollback package and flash through dload method
Rolling back cannot be the only solution. Emui 4.1 is too ugly!
