bought this second hand verizon galaxy s3 4.4.2, rooted it with towelroot, and flashed twrp using twrp manager and when i tried to boot into recovery, i had a warning sign that software has been tampered with and i should contact verizon for help, i tried to recover using a stock rom with odin but it fails each time, i did some researcch for many hour without success.
sometimes the screen tells me to use software repair assistant, i was able to download it but it never detected the phone, just sits there while phone is connected, btw drivers have been successfuly installed.
i tried kies, didn't work either.
i know now that it had to do with locked bootloader, but this is my first verizon phone.
please any help will be appreciated!
Edit and solved!!!

Hello,
Here's my issue, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i747M (Rogers Canada) and I decided to root my phone to connect a wireless controller for running emulators. I used ODIN 3 and rooted it with the proper ROM and it worked fine. I then noticed it had been running really slow and I wanted to update it to the latest Android platform but in order to do that I need to unroot the phone and return it to the stock ROM because I also figured out that I can hook up the controller with a USB so my phone doesn't need to be rooted anymore. I found the stock CF-Auto rom for my specific phone and carrier and reinstalled ODIN 3 on my computer. When I plug the phone into my computer with ODIN open it recognises it and the COM3 field turns yellow and in the txt box it says that its connected. I load the Stock ROM into PDA and run ODIN. It completes and I get the green "Complete" box and in the txt box it says Complete Disconnect Phone but when I restart my phone it loads the Samsung loading video and then just hangs at the Samsung logo with the blue LED blinking and the only way to shut down the phone is to remove the battery. I am still able to get to the download screen (Vol Down + Home + Power) and also when I loaded the stock ROM in ODIN it said to make sure that F. TIME RESET and AUTO REBOOT is selected but AUTO REBOOT is already checked and I cant turn on F. TIME RESET as the options terminal in ODIN is greyed out and I cant change the options, could this affect it? I know my phone can be saved as its only Soft Bricked its just a matter of how.....PLZ HELP!!!
think you have flashed the rom and theres no os to run other than blank try installing again or else install custom recovery and run a custom rom
Good Luck!
Ok I will try it again today, what is the custom recovery thing and custom rom you're talking about? Sorry im not very savvy when it comes to smart phones, links would help a bunch and someone mentioned to me today to DL a new CF-AUTO stock rom for my phone because it may be the wrong one even though it was labeled for my model. Know of any good sites to get Official Stock Roms for phones?
Thanks

Ok so I found the newest version of ODIN3 and my actual Stock ROM, /fingerscrossed
If it works Ill post up where I found everything incase someone else comes across this problem with the same phone

Ok so, I downloaded ODIN3 by hitting up Google and downloading it from the first link which was from this site (My issue was an out of date ODIN3 program, hence the grayed out options)
I got the stock file for my Samsung Galaxy S3 i747M (Rogers Canada) from SAMMobile (<Google this should be the first link)
This site has everything you need for Samsung anything and its free you just make an account. Also don't make the mistake I did and assume the list of stock files that comes up is all that's there, you have to manually search for your phone model and a list of countries and carriers comes up for that phone. The file was even the most up to date version which was a plus.

Hello everyone, and thanks for taking the time to attempt to help me.
Earlier today, my T-Mobile Galaxy S5 updated to 5.1.1. I searched google and came across a few links on how to root my phone (G900T) - The one I ended up using was CF-AutoRoot
I used Odin 3.07, used the tar5 file from that site above where I downloaded the root, and attempted to root the phone. Odin says everything worked as planned ''passed'' was displayed with 0 fails. I waited about 20 minutes, but my phone never rebooted, it was stuck in a boot logo loop ' 'Samsung Galaxy S5 powered by Android'' or ''T-Mobile'' was displayed.
I tried going into recovery and reseting all data / factory wipe but that didn't help, and made it even worse. Now my phone says this when I try to turn it on: ''Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again''
How do I go about getting back to stock firmware , that is rootable, so I can then proceed to install CyanogenMod?
EDIT: I used Kies and was able to get back to stock firmware and the phone turns on.
Can anyone recommend a reliable root for the G900T S5?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
It's good to hear that you managed to revive your phone. Many of us find it convenient to install a custom recovery such as TWRP which makes backing up and restoring, switching ROMs, and many such activities much easier. XDA happens to have an active and friendly area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S5, and specifically to the T-Mobile version at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5. I suggest you search that area or simply post your question in the Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/help where our experts will be most likely to be able to guide you.
First my phone was rooted before this but I tried to install XPOSED but it didint work it had me doing a bootloop so i thought about wiping my phone and didint think my OS would get erased now my phone just stays at the SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 screen I installed TWRP but no luck there people told me to install that but no luck I hope I can get some help ive tried to install stock firmware with odin but it keeps saying FAIL please help!

Here are official firmwares for your device. Boot your device into download mode and connect your phone, it should show up in Odin, then select the file you downloaded from sammobile and flash it from there. If you get any errors, please post the log here and I'll take a look at it.
I have a Samsung galaxy s6 edge plus, I've tried everything to fix the problem i have. Its stuck telling me i have to use smart switch to fix my phone. Ive tried using download mode and odin and restore stock firmware of both new and the same version of android that was on the phone before the issue (5.1.1). The internal storage got wiped, since this happened i was unable to boot the phone past this point. Any time i use odin it fails at the pit file when i try to use all 4 files to repair. Smart switch doesnt even see my device in the emergency recover, I'm at a lost of what i should do, there is nothing on the internet with the same problem i have. Ive tried reinstalling drivers that also doesnt work. Odin sees the device but cant do anything with it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i cant even shut the phone off without letting it die...
Still need help with this, I'm sure somewhere one of you have had this problem and know what to do.
Still stuck on emergency recovery and cant flash anything because the device wont allow it

Hello Everyone,
I have a bricked Galaxy Note 10.1 (Verizon) SCH-I925.
The only thing I am able to get to is ODIN mode.
I have downloaded from sammobile; KIES_HOME_I925VRAMK1_I925VZWAMK1_1481643_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
and have tried to load it using ODIN versions 1.85, 3.07, and 3.13. They all come back with a invalid hash error when I try to load it.
I have also tried to use:
BOOTLOADER_ALL_I925VRAMK1_I925VZWAMK1_1481643_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
CSC_ALL_I925VRAMK1_I925VZWAMK1_1481643_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
MODEM_ALL_I925VRAMK1_I925VZWAMK1_1481643_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
PDA_ALL_I925VRAMK1_I925VZWAMK1_1481643_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
These just fail when I try to load.
When I connect my device to my computer, it shows up in device manager as a USB device. Is this correct or should it show as an ADB.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Its a USB device .
Hash error bad download first check .Second check wrong firmware/ bricked phone SEE multiple bricked phone posts .
Try KIES recovery .
Will not connect
Tried KIES, both versions, does not connect.
The only thing I can get into is ODIN on the device.
I have read many threads on here but have not seen an answer to unbricking a Verizon SCH-i925 Not 10.1.
Help please.

Do you know anything about how it was bricked? Do you get the Samsung logo if you start it normally? You said only Odin is working, so I guess you also tried the recovery, does it just restart then or what happens in this case?

If I start it normally, I get the Samsung screen and then it goes blank. Recovery says "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your device. Please turn off your device and go to nearest Verizon Wireless store for help."
System bricked while trying to upgrade to Marshmallow. What I downloaded said it was for Verizon Model, but as soon as I tried to install the upgrade, that is when it bricked.

Just a heads up, no root or custom rom has been created for this specific model. Trust me, I am currently in the same boat as you. I have yet to find a solution.
