Flashed the hell out of my Note 3 with the Polish MK2 version. Noticed nothing new. Didn't fix a terrible bug either: casting music with Play Music via Chromecast. (Streaming stops when you turn the screen of the Note off)

I think you are still missing something - Note 3 is not a Google product and Samsung has no obligation to fix products from other companies. If there was a major streaming bug in Note 3 that would be also obvious in stuff like AllShare Cast.
This Rom is only to add a new 4G (LTE) provider in France. I don't think there is any other change.

You can probably NOT revert to MJ7 due to the new bootloader that came with MJ3 and onwards..

What are you talking about?? The reply just informs that this bug is not a Samsung firmware issue. The bug is not Samsungs to fix. It is a chromecast issue and then its Googles to fix.
Are you paranoid?

Well whether it is a Samsung bug or a Play Music / Chromecast bug isn't decidable. The guy isn't an expert. In another post he just fired some random hypotheses. And now he is saying that it is not a Samsung bug.
But let it be, xda isn't what it is used to be.

I'd like to upgrade to MK2 from MJ7 but not sure if it is possible, MJ7 makes the note 3 hot even playing candy crush.

Nothing new. I run MK2 for 4 days already. Battery drain still persists
I'm on MK2 for days also, but am not experiencing any battery drain at all. I have a feel that it's uses even less battery than MJ7
I'm rooted and using "greenify app" with "xposed.."
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Just updated to MK2 from MJ7 here too. Didn't experience any battery drain, but I have some curious behaviour now: I flashed this ROM with Mobile ODIN Pro, and when the phone boots again I can use ES Explorer just fine (root mode). But when I reboot, I cannot use it anymore, it just says my phone isn't rooted... but it is! (other root explorers works just fine, xposed etc). I tried flashing again and I still get root acces in ES Explorer only once. Some hint though: at first, I don't get any KNOX alert, but when I reboot, I get those. I don't know if this is related or not... but even after uninstalling everything KNOX-related in the system/app folder, it still doesn't work.
Well at least I have root, and I can use other explorers, but that bugs me, and I love my ES Exporer! Anyone have any hints?
Edit: Update for SuperSU v1.86 fixed the problem (Fixed non-priv root on some SELinux/Enforcing devices).

Mate, the Note 3 is the only device in my entire life that i just dont want to root, considering that there are loads of people like me, your post is extremely irrelevant, especially Thread wise.
Your input will help only the curious and nothing to lose ones. I've personally used Greenify my past 3 devices, i know its worth, but still, irrelevant.
PS, ML2 is out, it is Singapore and yet it has XXU, why is this so confusing?

What is irrelevant? It's about MK2 ain't it?
Give me a break man. Is your consern that peopole get tempted to root?? This is xda man.
I did inform about using greenify couse maybe it was crucial to the battery drain. I have never run MJ6, MJ7, MK2 without root, so I wouldn't know the battery drain then.
But my device run like a dream like this and I would recomend it in fact. Especially if people are suffering with battery drain.
But everyting one do to it's own device is ones own decision and responsibility. One should always do some research before doing something to the device.
Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

Yes I do! At the end of flashing of this over polish nb3 odin says "FAIL" and system size or something...
Size might be different due to different regions - you could solve this by wiping /system -- however you will need a PIT file to re-partition again.

yes but I was able to flash between PHN and OXX without any issue, why is this DBT being so fickle
Could be any number of reasons, size might be a few kb's smaller or bigger than another build. - built on a different computer etc etc
better wait it out for PHN NB4 then...

Hey i got it to work this way,
I flashed the new firmware and once it failed I pulled the battery out then
restarted it went to download screen and then flashed cf autoroot since my knox is voided anyways and thats how I root to and it booted no problems!
Woo Hoo
but now have a samsung keyboard fc but I can flash a new one easy!
Tried to flash over polish ROM too - failed twice.
Ended up flashing back to Polish ROM - all good again.
I bet we going to have same problem now when BTU Drops.

No problems here. Previously I was running DBT 4.3, then I flashed the first (official!) polish Kitkat. After NB3 came out I flashed that, all without Pit-File and the polish versions I flashed were the one-part firmwares, never the 3- or 4-part ones.
tl;dr: no problems flashing DBT-NB4 over my polish NB3, even reactivation lock was on.
Does anyone have a better mirror other than sammobile? The download there will take me 2 days!

I was also using the single file polish rom. But this DBT would not take over it.
I might try odin 1.85 under pda.

I want to know if it needs the PIT file like the DBT. If not, then I'll flash it. don't be fkin sarcastic dude :good:
There's also different versions of the FW like HK is 16gb, not sure if the BTU is 16 or 32gb. Better to ask than flash and fcuk up a phone.
16 gb only in honkong and other assia country's
Can someone confirm what is new in this FW? :fingers-crossed:
about bloody time!
Id like to know whats new as well . . .its kitkat alright but apart from status bar icons being all white and the odd kitkat changes to ui elements . . Oh and camera shortcut on bottom right of lockscreen . . .i dont see anything else new ??
I must admit the whole UI and software has become alot faster and butter smooth and battery seems to be slighty better when phone is idle . .but again its only been a few hours and cant give a full battery score

It can be flashed yes, so long as you don't have a HK model. -- And yes it is better to ask than to mess up, there's no such thing a stupid question only a stupid answer.
TL;DR
Yup flash away you should be good to go - You may need a PIT file depending on what firmware you are coming across from due to some minor size differences

On BTU it's mainly tweaked for modem rather than feature wise, small things but generally it's the Polish ROM more polished so to speak.
Im on XXUENB3 Poland
when i flash with odin only the auto reboot should be ticked right ?

Hello Guys,
I know this is very unusual question for you but I need your expert help. Last 2 days back my Galaxy S7 display got broken and I went to my nearest service center of Samsung. But unfortunately Galaxy S7 is not available in my country and the accessories as well. My phone was brought from abroad and I am using it in Bangladesh. I went another service center and they offered me to set Galaxy S6 display in my Galaxy S7. In that case I accept the proposal and they setup S6 display in my S7. Now my set take restart when I open multi app in my mobile. So my question is, is there any solution for that? I have checked that both of the mobile display is same. Then why this problem is there? Thanks for your earliest reply.

Not sure how they crammed an s6 display into your s7 when the replacement screens are fused to the front glass, plus the s7 display has a slight curve on the sides. Anyway while the resolution might be the same on both screens the s7 is a newer screen with different brightness/colors and possibly different power requirements, this might be why its crashing when you're opening multiple apps.
Btw s7 displays are available on ebay.

No. It is not tripped yet
How is this even possible? Are the pcb connectors identical for both phones? Can you upload a picture of your phone? Specifically where the LCD Glass meets the sides. As well as a front profile with the screen on.
Sorry for late reply. My mobile is now in good condition without doing anything. It automatically get resolved the restart problem. I got the 302MB update from Samsung and now the speed increased as well. Thanks all for your support.
