Yes I do! At the end of flashing of this over polish nb3 odin says "FAIL" and system size or something...

Size might be different due to different regions - you could solve this by wiping /system -- however you will need a PIT file to re-partition again.

yes but I was able to flash between PHN and OXX without any issue, why is this DBT being so fickle

Could be any number of reasons, size might be a few kb's smaller or bigger than another build. - built on a different computer etc etc

better wait it out for PHN NB4 then...

Hey i got it to work this way,
I flashed the new firmware and once it failed I pulled the battery out then
restarted it went to download screen and then flashed cf autoroot since my knox is voided anyways and thats how I root to and it booted no problems!
Woo Hoo
but now have a samsung keyboard fc but I can flash a new one easy!

Tried to flash over polish ROM too - failed twice.
Ended up flashing back to Polish ROM - all good again.
I bet we going to have same problem now when BTU Drops.

No problems here. Previously I was running DBT 4.3, then I flashed the first (official!) polish Kitkat. After NB3 came out I flashed that, all without Pit-File and the polish versions I flashed were the one-part firmwares, never the 3- or 4-part ones.
tl;dr: no problems flashing DBT-NB4 over my polish NB3, even reactivation lock was on.

Does anyone have a better mirror other than sammobile? The download there will take me 2 days!

I was also using the single file polish rom. But this DBT would not take over it.
I might try odin 1.85 under pda.

So you've never flashed a pit file before? That's weird then.
I hope it'll work for you, good luck

Samsung i9103 Galaxy R Android 2.3.6 ZSKK5 TAIWAN NOVEMBER RELEASE 5

I am sure you all want the new "i9103 Galaxy R Android 2.3.6 ZSKK5 Taiwan November Release 5".
It has TWM TGY KOR CWT BRI csc.
I uploaded it to multiple mirrors:
http://www.multiupload.com/6XGHPVN8NA
First of all, do a CWM backup of the rom on your device.
Download, use Odin to put it on your i9103.
If you do not know your IMEI, go to Phone, call *#06# and write down your IMEI.
Then go to Phone and call *#272*IMEI#
It will ask you what CSC you want.
Do NOT take TWM (Taiwan Mobile) or CWT (Chunghwa Telecom Taiwan).
Take BRI or TGY or KOR. Click Install.
Enjoy Android 2.3.6 November Release 5!
After installing the Samsung Music Hub, this ROM is like the English European ROM, but with Android 2.3.6 updates.
Samsung Music Hub is here:

Yes it will wipe user data so make a backup if you have something you do not want to lose.
thank you but little questions:
Do I need to change my CSC? I dont understand the process, first I need to change CSC and then I must use Odin to flash the tar file, Am I right? If I just flash without changing CSC would I brick the R?

Afaik drivers are in the Kernel. If you go back to the 2.3.4 rooted kernel then you won't find any new ones. Only enhacements in the ROM (which of course is nice)

I wrote flashing with Odin before changing csc. You can not change to a csc that you do not have. You change to a csc that this ROM installs.
It is not so easy to brick the R. I even recovered from many flash write errors.
You change the csc to have the new rom installed in a perfect way. After changing the csc the way I described, everything is reset and reinstalled, so you have the new ROM clean and pure like a virgin.
After the CSC change you have a new, unbranded, untouched, virgin, stock "Samsung i9103 Android 2.3.6 November Release 5".

You are right. I suggest you build a new root kernel based on the new kernel (like ardatdat did for the older kernel) and share it with us.

Yes we do not have a better root kernel yet.
Yes I am using KK5 and I will stay with it.
Did not have time to do benchmarks with it.
A difference I noticed in 2.3.6 is that the home screen is a infinite loop like the apps screen.

Don't make like me. I had bad boot's whit MJ6 and bootloader MJ3.
I made a Bootloader-MJ6.tar.md5 whit that TOOL, the 5 files from it, flashed by Odin and now whit Bootloader N9005XXUDMJ6 no more bad boot's.
Conclusion: A Rom must work whit your own bootloader.
Forget my test's please.

At start the phone stop at samy logo, wait, wait, wait, poweroff/on, start, the same wait... sometimes start at 3º power on.
Whit the bootloader from Rom XXUDMJ6 it start quickly at first time. It's all Jean-Paul. You are French?
About my conclusion You must read this:

and:

Thanks. Sometimes bootloader can't work with some baseband. Maybe if you don't flash the new modem it works (even if it is not a good solution).
And yes I am french. But my father is from Maia and my mother from Braga

okay, thanks anyways :/
Flashed. Had to manually done via Odin as usual, as I never ever had the privilege of getting an OTA update!
Anyway, here are some things I noticed, I mean some changes from the previous Indian ROM,
1- The boot up audio has been changed. Don't know if this is as same as S5's one or not, but I guess it is, cause no one changes the boot up sound often! I don't like the new sound. It's kinda threatening!
2- The default wallpapers, both lock-screen and home screen have been changed. And all the built in wallpapers have been changed as well! You won't see that boy & balloon wall, or the airplane! All of them have been replaced with a new batch! Weird!
3- The horrible lag, which occurs in any email app's list view mode, with message preview set to on, REMAINS. This is the main reason I updated, and hoped would be solved, but no, I am really disappointed

Yes Sammobile is showing that this is NOT available on Kies yet. Maybe Samsung is still testing this firmware OR maybe they're doing a bit more polishing before a roll-out.

Abberiviations:
ROS - Root, Odex, Stock
RDS - Root, DeOdex, Stock
How to:
Download "CSC_*.zip" and "PDA_*.zip" parts for your model of phone
Unpack downloaded files. You'll get "*.tar.md5"
Run Odin, for CSC choose "CSC_*.tar.md5" and for PDA choose "PDA_*.tar.md5". No more changes in Odin window
Flash and wait until reboot
* I recommend to do a factory reset
Download:
MEGA.co.nz
You will help me, if you provide firmware's CSC parts of other regions of present firmwares. Usually fiwmwares for different regions are identical but CSC part (cache.img & hidden.img) is different. In order to not to make a lot of FW's with big size I made the only PDA part and l different CSC parts for that PDA part version. Example: we have "I9105PXXUBNG1" PDA part and "I9105POXABNG1" CSC part for DBT (German) region. And we can make it multiregional if you'll provide me other CSC parts.

Yes bro is same, our device will kept with this version 3.0.31 that same one used on lollipop roms, i try to port 3.4 kernel but it's very hard job, because we should marge the basic architecture code to 3.4 btw i found they update the recovery, it's same of aosp 4.2 i think
Edit: the new firmware is very smooth comparing to old one + they add samsung go, if still release updated probably will release 4,3 and 4,4
The kernel has been compiled on february 2015, so is same version, but isn't same.
You said that the recovery has been changed, so We still have the error on recovery, about the wipe on cache and dalvik cache??

I just had the close on search in the Play Store, but I am still on XXUBNE1, so I dont think its a problem of the new firmware. Solved the problem by resetting Play Store in the app manager.

[I9505] Downgrade from 5.0 Lollipop to 4.4.2 KitKat

If you don't like or you have problems with the new version of Android for Galaxy S4 (I9505), you can downgrade even if you flashed the new BL from Lollipop I9505XXUHOA7.
Instructions:
1. Flash this firmware into AP, untick Auto reboot
2. When pass in Odin, unplug cable, shut down Phone and restart directly into download mode
3. Reset Odin, put GNK2 Bootloader into BL and GNK2 Modem into CP, tick Auto reboot
4. When Phone restart (on Samsung logo) , shut down Phone and restart into recovery
5. Wipe factory reset, wipe cache partition, reboot.
Tested by me, and it works, no problems.
Download Links:
1. AP: Download
2. BL GNK2: Download
3. Modem GNK2: Download
MIRRORS:
1. Mirror MEGA - AP
2. Mirror MEGA - BL
3. Mirror MEGA -MODEM
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS WITH YOUR PHONE! DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I DO NOT KNOW IF THE KNOX WILL BE 0x1 AFTER THAT. I HAVE FLASHED THIS ON MY PHONE, BUT IT WAS ALREADY 0x1.

Is it possible to use another AP or I must use this one from first post? And what if I use PIT file when I was installed lollipop?

I suggest install this AP, and the other two files and then download every KitKat version you want!
What about repartition??

Sincere Thanks!!
Hi!
Just wanted to say thank you for this guide - I'd flashed the Lollipop leaked ROM and I couldn't get WIFI to switch on, so was kinda stuck.
This has enabled me to go back to basics!
Thanks
Olly

I strongly presumed that these files are from phonandroid.com (Repack XEF)
You could at least give the origin of the tutorial.
Cheers!

I can confirm that too...
You can downgrade to 4.4.2 anytime, even if you used the Bootloader upgrade!
