h955 marshnallow update

Hello!
Someone know something new about h955 international update?
I was informed by lg in my country (romania), that update gonna be available at the end of june for sure.
Now, we are on july and nothin changed about update...
Bad lg customer support....too bad....

You didn't have to open new thread for this. As you can see update is available for a while now but not OTA. You must update it through your PC via LG UP.

I ve asked about h955 international ( that means unbranded).
For this, there are no new updates from lg pc suite. Android 5.1.1 is latest update.
I am just curious if someone got another release date from lg.

Its practically unbranded. If u flash it as update u get only one orange app easily uninstalled. If u update with refurbish option it doesn't even install that app. So the ROM is clean as it can be.

Except error popping up on every reboot saying you have software not available for your country, maybe it works fine but not so conveniant and annoying for sure, especially if you might have to RMA your phone.

Not annoying at all. Its just a pop up at boot. I don't even remember it cause the ROM is awesomely stable and I get one week uptimes. Regarding RMA u can always reflash it back to stock.
Only found one bug so far. Auto rotation sometimes doesn't work as expected. Happens often if on YouTube with Facebook chat heads on top.
Edit: oh! and source code is out for sometime now. So if all goes as expected international unbranded must be out until the end of the month.

OTA update to Android 7+Emil 5.0 in Sweden...?

Hej...
Today morning i've got notification then OTA update till Android Nougat + EMUI 5.0 is ready to download...currently I'm running Android 6.0 + EMUI 4.1 on FRD-L09C432B131 in Sweden and I'm not participating in any project.
Is this stable update and, or, anyone else got this...

Well, this is a surprise !
B320 is the current build in beta

they could be opening the beta to more people to get more data on performance etc, or it could be stable

But if they opening beta for more people...then I think they should ask if somebody want to be a beta tester and start using beta version in daily use...instead putting update via OTA...

I am from Sweden with the same version of honor 8 (FRD-L09C432B131) and haven't received it

Any suggestions...is is still beta or stable release...?
I don't want to upgrade to newer version and after that get piss off because of bugs...
Try to contact Huawei customer service but without answer till now...

Hi all, I'm from Italy and I also have the FRD-L09 model. I haven't received any update, but for the B131 I waited almost a month. Anyway on the EMUI International page, on G+, there is a Brazilian guy which also received the update.

He says stable, but I doubt it. Is he the one having it?

I guess it's stable, but do check the changelog if there's something mention beta or test...

It's the exact same size as the beta-update for 320, so I'm guessing it's the beta. Plus if you check around online it says that EMUI 5.0 should be released in Februari!
I'm from Sweden, in the beta project and on the 320 build FYI and I don't think it's likely that the beta-build number is the same as the stable one.
Just my thoughts though

I asked to Honor page on Facebook and they said that nougat is still on test and it will be available for the end of February.

I just wanted to say that the beta build is extremely stable. It could be released today. I had only a few minor bugs (translation, smoothness when swiping pictures with fingerprint sensor, ...). So you can go ahead without worrying about your phone

I saw that too on the french beta forum. A factory reset fixes the problem. I didn't have any problem.

But, for example, if i will not update for this update now...did i will get next, stable, update...?
Or first need to use this update and after that i February i will get next, stable OTA...?

Nah. November 6th is the security patch (check Google bulletin security patches u LL see it yourself.)
They never gonna release two big updates in 5/7 days only...if Oreo was near they don't even push the today update

Are there any new features added? Anything better and new u noticed? I haven't received it yet.

+1giga nothing batter nothing fixed no Night light no EIS no horrible noise cancellation during video cam recording fixed no fm radio app ...etc

I think it is finally for earlier beta. Because the log version is removed and even the notifications "beta log"

Yep, I've installed it too (beta applicant). Seems smooth so far, and 5x5 icons on the stock launcher, finally!!

Just installed and immediately new update came- 360 (432). Being installed.

just like you, I just got root and installed twrp on my 8141 xz premium. In your place, do not take this head just with security update. do you have a good rom proposed? maybe you have to test a rom?

As soon as the bootloader is unlocked, you are no longer able to update (OTA). You have to flash the firmware manually. You can download the current version of your firmware with Xperifirm, then flash it with Newflasher. Don't forget to backup all your apps and data (pictures,...) before!

Xposed works if you flash xposedfix from gfan on g8142 rom, flash with new flasher.

You could also use flashtool since it got updated to support XZ series and flash em without loosing data

weird ive been using it since 3 updates including this one and it worked just like with the xperia play and z1c i had. never had problems. btw. is xperifix website down? i updated my xzp to .270 yesterday and wanted to drm fix it.
