Hej...
Today morning i've got notification then OTA update till Android Nougat + EMUI 5.0 is ready to download...currently I'm running Android 6.0 + EMUI 4.1 on FRD-L09C432B131 in Sweden and I'm not participating in any project.
Is this stable update and, or, anyone else got this...

But if they opening beta for more people...then I think they should ask if somebody want to be a beta tester and start using beta version in daily use...instead putting update via OTA...

Hi all, I'm from Italy and I also have the FRD-L09 model. I haven't received any update, but for the B131 I waited almost a month. Anyway on the EMUI International page, on G+, there is a Brazilian guy which also received the update.

I guess it's stable, but do check the changelog if there's something mention beta or test...
It's the exact same size as the beta-update for 320, so I'm guessing it's the beta. Plus if you check around online it says that EMUI 5.0 should be released in Februari!
I'm from Sweden, in the beta project and on the 320 build FYI and I don't think it's likely that the beta-build number is the same as the stable one.
Just my thoughts though

I asked to Honor page on Facebook and they said that nougat is still on test and it will be available for the end of February.
I just wanted to say that the beta build is extremely stable. It could be released today. I had only a few minor bugs (translation, smoothness when swiping pictures with fingerprint sensor, ...). So you can go ahead without worrying about your phone

I saw that too on the french beta forum. A factory reset fixes the problem. I didn't have any problem.

I ran the beta for a while and I wasn't able to find any during the month or so I used it. I imagine it'll be a little bit after its official release before we see theme support.

It's kind of strange since I've been running L04-*B360 (same build as mentioned, but US variant) for ~couple of weeks now via the Charles update thread. It runs great, but I would be surprised if they released the exact same version of the beta I'm on as the "final release" version.
If it's the same version I'll just stick with the b360 build I'm on. I suppose it's possible that each "region" version of the H8 will wind up on some slightly different version of EMUI but that doesn't really sound right either.

That'd be disappointing by honor
Huawei is really starting to tick me off. That want to be "bigger than apple" but for updates it seems like North America is in the back of the cue.
Seriously, release those updates and release that source code so we can get custom Roms running properly.
Otherwise Huawei phones will not be on my shopping list again.

They seem to have a very small team working on the US Beta (maybe only 1 person even)

All we got in the UK was the original beta N and one other small update.
They ain't doing what they said they would are they.
I'm not too happy either. I really thought they would do better

Yeah I had thought that the partnership with XDA was going to bring more, but so far I'm not very impressed. I'm probably going to end up switching phones again sadly lol.

Yes it's a real shame.
I have been told by them via Google+ that those of us on the UK beta program will be being an update in the next few days.
It won't be the final but will be an update of some kind.
I will post on here when I get it

According to this http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_roadmap_details_when_midrangers_will_get_nougat-news-22852.php the Chinese variants of the Honor 8 also had nougat that started rolling out on the 16th

Hi! I did the update to EMUI b360 via the Hicare app on my L09 honor 8 and it went just fine. Lot of people here did the same without issues. It does not wipe the phone, but I still recommend you to do a backup before proceeding.
EMUI 5 works flawlessly, I really like it.
For your information, my phone is *not* rooted. I don't know what happens with updates when the phone is rooted

Almost all of us updated with hicare
It does not wipe the phone but its recommended after you update do a backup and factory reset the phone

It means that most of th bugs are fixed and almost all things sre working as intended. Its a pre-final version and yes it's the one they are rolling out for everyone.

"Final beta" means exactly what it says on the tin. It's the least beta version. The next version will be the final release. Assuming that the report is correct.

WTF is a 'final beta'?? A beta is a beta. A final is a final. Let's not muddy the waters chaps...
B360 is the latest stable release that's being pushed to everyone. It's not a beta!
The reason that some have it and some don't is because they can't push it to everyone at the same time, they do it in waves depending on your model number, location and IMEI. If you don't have it yet just chill, it's on its way. It was due for February release anyway so think yourself lucky that you might be able to get it a little earlier if you do, if not you'll be getting it on time as expected.

i'm from germany and as i know so far the OTA 360 isn't rolled out at the moment in this country.
So i updated mit HiCare App to the version: 5.0.1.303 and changed my region to Europe/Country: Belgium
After this fix i recieved the update. It works fine.
9:30 this morning GMT (here in England). Notification came through of 197 update. Installed with no problems. Carries the usual suite of minor bug fixes and security updates. Enjoy.

No not a beta, official.
Is it safe to take this OTA if I'm rooted with magisk, decrypted and some stock apps uninstalled?
Flashed this yesterday here in the Netherlands.
I'm not noticing alot of differences between 194 and this one.
Battery life seems about the same? Can't really say that in 2 days.
For the rest it's pretty much the same old rock stable emui experience

the new security patches of Google seems to be the only chang between 194 and 197.
But as everybody can read, the v 198 seems to be coming soon too.
I got the v197 yesterday - dirty over (OTA) - no problems until now.
I live in Greece I have the l29c432 dual but I haven't receive the 197 yet !! Can anyone help me . I own the phone for two weeks and I don't know much about hauwei's it's updates policy etc...

No, that doesn't work. B197 is not an OFFLINE firmware, it's ONLINE only meaning you can't use it for DLOAD.
i know this procedure from my old Honor 7 and it has worked flawless there.
But after reading (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/figure-how-to-flash-firmware-t3504781/page4) it seems to make no sense for the mate 9. I had corrected my post now.

Not many people globally got it from what I read.
Anyway the official rollout starts this weekend so maybe best to wait a little longer.

Yes, hve been using fr more than a week. I had filled google form for beta testing and was informed through whtsapp group that i hve been assigned beta update.
