hey guys, last week i flashed XEF 6.0.1 on my S6, everything seems fluid and fast, except when you press and hold the home screen to see the options there like : themes, grid..... there is frame drops, it's not always there, but sometimes it's annoying, has anyone encountered that?
I'm getting frame drops/general lag in games like Vainglory.
Have it on both XtreStoLite 3.0 BETA3, aswell as XEF official firmware..

Definatly not.
This game is made to run at 60 FPS, -all the time-.
And it used to do that, on Lollipop.
But not anymore on Marshmallow, its way way worse.

but it maybe related to the game optimization, maybe it's still not optimized for MM....

Hi there,
I am sort of new to rooting and have never installed a custom android operating system or ROM yet. I would like to put on something with Android 5.0 if possible, but if none are out yet, which is the best ROM to put on my LG G3, and a tutorial to do it?
I want to use all of the eatures of the phon still as well.
Are there lollipop ROMS out yet for this phone, and if not should I wait for it?
Thank for your help.

I too am using Cloudy and find that the top half of the phone doesn't heat up as much. There's an eco mode you can turn on as well. Not sure it that's what's going the trick, but I've kept it on because the battery life is great now.
As for the lag, have you tried flashing Pure Performance X? It's made all the ROMs I've tried snappier (including Cloudy).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...s/mod-pureperformancesx-zeno-edition-t2360985
I'm using Viper for my third day now. The first day the battery drained really fast as google processes was raelly active, but the last two days ive gotten over 4 hours of screen on time easily and it's definitely been an improvement over stock for me. I havent played any games but phone did not get hot watching youtube vids.
I am not familiary with pure performance X, looks interesting though.

IF the XZs which is basically XZ is going to be released with 7.1 on April (5th?) then positive side of me would say that 7.1 for XZ also comes then.
Negative side predicts May 2017
Ok so I'm waiting for improved battery and camera

Yes, version .442 is laggy and slower than .417
Especially when trying to delete from sd card.
Some app now can't use sd .
Revert to .417

Mine is not laggy on 39.2.A.0.442 firmware. Yes, it was laggy first day (that is yesterday) but now it is OK.
Use XPERIA Keyboard. I don't have problems with autocorrect.
Thanks guys. I'll wait for Existenz version of the new FW. I hope it is faster

Nope not at all for me, it seems they're just pushing security updates, I see no improvements in speed, battery or smoothness since i bought the phone. Especially the phone log lag needs to be fixed, I mean how hard can it be? its exactly the same as the google app which runs very smooth on my Z3!

Hello everyone.....
I've some question, why my LG V20 not work really well sometimes lagging.
I've try the performance with dolphin emulator and its wierd fps sometimes drop dunno what happened,
I see someone using different phone with spesification lower than v20 with same version of app n setting it run really smooth n good,
What should I do?
Should I change the rom ?
Sorry for my bad english :crying:
If the performance is lagging and you really can't figure out why, try a full factory reset. It massively improved the overall performance of my V20 after it began to lag.
You rooted or what?

Why does rooting reduce performance ?
You may have RCTD running in the background. RCTD is LG's root checking service that runs rampant once you are rooted, causing a decrease in performance.

So are you only having problems with this specific app or is your phone lagging overall in general when you are using it. Emulators in general are very prone to performance issues especially on certain devices. Even flagships. Have you tried different settings in dolphin to see or are you just using the default settings that came with it after you installed it?

Can you link the specific dolphin app that you use? I would like to try it out and see how it informs on mine.
Also have you checked game battery saver settings under the batter options?

You can try with game :
rune factory frontier (Wii)
or
Resident Evil 4 (GCN)
So i got this tablet just about a year ago and i love
it.....
Except its performance
I have rooted it and flipped it back and forth from android 6 to 7 a few times just yesterday i put it to 7 so i could have a clean and lag free start
I was wrong. I want to be able to play a game like rules of survival or pubgmobile and record it for youtube (that being the MAIN reason i bought this tablet) but it lags intensively lag spikes that can last for 5 seconds or more and that is not good obviously
So what im asking is.
Do any of you know a way to remedy this? i am able to flash roms like lineage and root my tab
But i want your guys opinion on what i should do
If you can thats great!
Thx-justice
Downgrade to 5.2 relase like me
Agreed on that, seems to be the only solution. Did that myself a few Days ago and its a huge difference, this thing is usable again.

Downgrading to 5.2 is that one marshmellow?
Do you get any lag spikes and are you able to record?
I may try that
But i also want to flash lineage 14.1
And change my filesystem to f2fs and flash a kernel
No, 5.2 is one version before the current, it's Nougat. However with sec patches from April without the KRACK fix, but I don't really care to be honest. Haven't tried recording, sorry, never needed it.
You can also try lineage of course, should be the same result. I just like to stay on a Nvidia Rom to have everything working.

How is your opinion about this ROM.
It is very good and customizable with a ton of options.
Only thing that is boring sometimes is lag when open apps. Waiting for 4-5 seconds to.open it.
Does someone know how to avoid that lag?

You can try to install the hate kernel, because their cpu scheduling is different, it may improve your experience.

I haven't found an Oreo ROM for 4C that equals a Nougat ROM ( for example, AEX or RR) in terms of speed and lagness.

Tried with 1.5b hate kernel...laggines is still present.
Cdroid maintener Vovan77 will not support this Rom anymore.
Now I am on RR and there is less lags but it is present.

Thanks, man, I got your link
But messing in the Settings, menus and that kind of stuff on a fresh installation seems to me the same as in Nougat. On my phone, lag appears in crDroid O (and all the Oreo builds) when I'm switching and reloading apps, with many apps installed and many processes running in the background. In this situation (regular use, not setting up the phone) I feel Nougat is better than Oreo.

Well, I'm not really complaining about Oreo, I know it was a hard work for its developers and builders and all the enthusiastic guys involved. The real accomplish was to be able to install and use Oreo for Mi 4C, almost bug-free. There are many alternatives to Oreo for Mi4C, even now, when devs are leaving its boat for other devices. MIUI 10 it's on its way, but LOS 14.1 is still developing - great work!
Personally, I'm using latest AEX Nougat and I'm happy.

Hi Gourcuff 14.
Thanks for yours tips. It was necessary to wipe also data (internal storage) to avoid bootloop. All apps, contacts restored.
I'm giving up - no dialer during incoming call.
LineageOS ftw
I use LineageOS found here for some half a year without any issues as a daily driver.
The only two things that i found missing are no vibration and the fact i can not find a way to activate Camera2API, so i can not use Gcam mods. But these are not really an issue tbh.
