Is anyone else having issues with the stock messaging app? Mine seems to trip out a lot and will need to be force stopped so I can read or write texts.
Not here. When I first recurved the phone I wiped data and cache. Working perfectly!

Have you disabled any apps? I disabled pretty much ALL T-Mobile bloatware.
I had it happen a few times when I used a theme that was mostly black. Messaging app would just have the person's name I was sending to at the top, but the box for the text and the keyboard would be just black space. Changed from that theme and haven't had it since...

I am using a dark material theme so I'm wondering about that now. I did reboot into recovery and clear cache which seems to have resolved it for now. I guess I'll keep an eye out and if it shows back up then I'll change themes.

I also experienced that using the Material Black theme. A reboot fixed it for me. If it happens again, I am gonna to switch to the Inverted M theme.:good:

Funny thing about it. Vanilla is free. I installed it first, then saw the Black one and said "oohhhh..", so I bought that one. Now I'm on the the freebie Vanilla again haha

I wish you good luck. I rebooted once, and it came back. Hopefully it doesn't for you.
I almost wonder if it's got too much black on black perhaps and causes the system to pull up an incorrect resource...? I did some theming on the M7 and M8 HTC One models, and I know that got me a few times...
I may try my hand at doing some theme work on this once we get root, as this device definitely seems really solid for me so far....has everything I like and really doesn't have any unliveable bad spots...

I disabled most all Samsung and tmobile bloat too except Samsung push service
No issues here. Had a couple FCs on first boot but that cleared up after the phone settled and got another rebbot in. Currently using "Black Edition" and my god is it black lol. I'll test a few others as well and report back if there are any issues.
On a side note, Sammy did a great thing with the theme option. Glad to see a manufacturer taking hints from its buyers and executing it so fluidly.

The stock messaging app doesn't do a good job at all with switching from wifi to mobile data when sending mms. Tmobile will not allow wifi only mms or sms. Its a tmobile bug that will not get fixed any time soon.
Best advice is to use Textra app from the app store. It does a WONDERFUL job switching between radios to send mms and sms. I would not use any other messaging app. There is no way to fix the stock app.
Material Black was updated this evening by its creator. I reloaded this theme and will see if its fixed. ::fingers crossed::
UPDATE: Since installing the new black theme update there are no issues to report. Tested for a few days, multiple reboots, multiple messages and no problems.
Well, spoke too soon. It happened again. Still gonna keep using the theme. Still like it.

lost root
I flashed the rom last night but had to go back to cm11 backup due to having lost root completely. Any idea?
Hadn't read about anyone having that issue this is the first time I encountered this issue any assistance would help.
Same here, I lost root also when I flashed this rom.

Google wallet crashing for me, as well. I also noticed that I have to reboot the phone, while it's charging, in order for charging to work. If I reboot while it's unplugged, afterwards, the phone won't charge. Finally, I've seen that any custom sounds I set are wiped out after a reboot. Thanks for all the great work.

Slimkat rom for att d850
Hello developer I would like to address some issues with this rom which I love since lg g2 first the sound in Google play does not work even though I installed the last build you upload.. In Pandora the sound is really low. I would say half of the sound of the stock rom which is pretty loud and nice.. I checked the Bluetooth with my hbs-900 and yes it does not work... The last thing I would like to address or maybe ask is why when we do recent there is no a button to clear all apps at once... Thank
Camera Options
Love the ROM so far. Haven't had any issues (wish the Knock Code was present) but I haven't tried bluetooth yet - I do use it quite a bit so I hope it works.
Regards to the camera though... is there a way to get the LG G3 camera app? I'm not a fan of the Google Camera (or w.e is installed); it doesn't seem to focus as quickly and I am not sure if it has the same functions that I am used to.
Any info. or tips on this would work. I don't necessarily NEED to bail on this app but I would prefer something that really utilizes the camera to it;s fullest potential.
Otherwise, thank you for your great work!

Great Rom
I ran this for a few days before I jumped over the CM. Its a great ROM and is smooth. Keep up the good work.
Battery Life and LTE
Anyone else having issues with their battery life? I'm running ART but noticed my battery drained way quicker than usual (I was at about 12% by the end of work) when normally I'm at +60%.
Also, I noticed that in a few calls my signal would drop to H+ instead of LTE. I only noticed this in the same area where I made a couple of calls but I would assume this would be related to my battery issue if not.
Last thing I noticed: I would have to turn on the screen after the call (via back-button) to hang up - as in the screen would not automatically turn back on when I removed it from my ear. Only happened a couple of times but was frustrating.
Love the build and thank you for your work.

Bluebooth
I am so glad Liquid Smooth has a LP ROM for the D850! I have tried a couple of other LP ROMs and Bluetooth always seems to be broken. I was wondering if anyone can confirm that Bluetooth is working, specifically with Android Wear. If no one has tested it I might flash this later today and test it.
Update - installed ROM and it looks like Bluetooth is a no go right now!
Update 2 - Uninstalled Android Wear and reset the GWatch and now they are syncing. Seems to have been an issue with Android Wear, seeing both the phone and GWatch would pair with other devices.

Thank you, I'll test this rom at more when I'm done with finals
So by all means flame away if that's what gets you to sleep at night..
I just want to share my issues
I'm still a user.. not lookin' to switch.. just sharin' the problems I have
A lot of times when I'm on a call & the screen shuts off.. I have to press power to get it to come back on.. even double tap doesn't work
I've tried disabling "Prevent Accidental Wake" & that hasn't seemed to solve it
I see the settings option about disabling Immersive Mode Messages.. buuut no option to enable Immersive Mode
No custom Power Menu Granted that may not be a feature anyway..
I noticed in the OP System App Remover was mentioned.. I'm not finding that.. :-/
If I had to guess I would say the double tap to wake / sleep working reliably is a stock rom thing.. currently in the works for AOSP roms yeah ? Double to wake works pretty consistently.. buuut the Double to sleep only works as the CM status bar tap setting rather than anywhere
What else what else..
Oh so I've got Skype installed.. & every time I try to make a call despite hitting Always.. I'm still asked if I want to use Phone or Skype
I'm not *****in'.. I'm not upset.. this is a forum.. forums exist for the purpose of discussion.. so I am sharing my experience & grievances using this as a daily driver..
Oh oh oh uhh.. also.. I can't seem to get the phone into silent mode now.. only vibrate for the quietest
/salute
Okay so I wanted feedback regarding this whether someone else is experiencing this or not.
I have gradually observed during the last few days that a lot of my touches to click have gone unresponsive in Nougat. Initially it was something that I hadnt quite noticed but slowly the trend became obvious. Now dont get me wrong, this would happen a few times here and there with lollipop and MM as well, but the rate is far higher now on Nougat. Especially when typing on the keyboard this means mis-spelled words, missed letters, and accuracy is far worse now.
Has anyone else observed this or is it just me?
oh
Yup i notice it too....keyboard also samsung and gboard. Sux! Bout to go back to mm

Yeah I think i am on the same position you are.
What i just cant figure out is that is this affecting Everyone after the update and people are failing to notice the increased frequency in missed touches OR whether its just a problem for a small number of people.
I am going to try to hold off for a few more days and hope if a solution magically appears lol cause i really dont want to root.

Some people elsewhere mentioned it is possible to downgrade by ODINing previous stock software. Do you think that's a good idea?
I've noticed touch issues, touch input lag when opening Chrome and immediately begin to type and they replaced the period(.) with a question mark(?) on the Samsung keyboard which is so annoying.

Then flashed 7.0 via odin and so far I do not see the touch issues you all are referring to.
Did you all just update via OTA / Smart Switch or even Odin the ROM with out wiping system?
I even tested with piano tiles 2. Never have played the game before in my life and got a perfect on the first song.
XCover 4 Android nougat
Just got the xcover 4 and it and has the same issue. It was worse with the screen protector so i removed it.
Even with the touch sensitivity (glove mode) set to on things get worse.
+1 on these issues, clean install with several wipes.
Battery life also seems worse.

Well first off why are you talking to me like that?
I said nothing about me being special for you to respond with "I don't care who you are".
Not everyone here wipes, there are plenty of new users or people that simply don't have the experience.
I have no idea who you are so I merely suggested a possible common step to try.
I have a note 5 and my wife has a note 5 and we don't experience such issues. I am particular and OCD enough for this to drive my crazy if it were the case. Perhaps something else is going on here.
Anyways, I hope you have a better day tomorrow then you had today.

There is also a 2nd update to 7.0 so perhaps they fixed it.
I am currently using a T-Mobile Note 5 (N920T) that is unrooted (for now). It has Nougat 7.0 installed. I'm using the Nova launcher because I hate TouchWiz and am using the SwiftKey keyboard. I find that the phone is very sensitive to touch, and I get the best results by using a very light and short touch. If I touch too hard or hold a fraction too long, I'm experiencing the same problems. Since my launcher and kbd are not Samsung standard, I don't know if this is any help to others, but I'm not having any problems at this time.

No DP3 is very solid for me!
So far it has been very smooth for me as well. The other day I was having issues with sending an MMS and it was because I didn't have all the permissions set.

Yeah so far this rom is pretty smooth no major issues. A few app crashes here and there but it's probably because the apps haven't been updated yet to run with Android 9.
I dirty flashed then did a factory reset.

Should only be there on your home screens to show that you slide up for all apps list. Definitely shouldn't be there on the dock. Did you try clearing cache in recovery? Are you completely stock on the P beta, or are you using other mods/changes to the system?

Completely stock. There are actually 2 carats on the home screen, a bigger one and the small one seen in the screenshots.
Doesn't effect performance, just annoying.
Have cleared cache from recovery and on just about every system app that it will allow me to clear it. Can't downgrade the launcher unfortunately.
My OCD won't allow me to look past it lol
