TB not backing up because of insufficient space - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

A funny thing happened in the past couple of days. My Titanium Backup was working fine and I was able to backup everything. Then there were updates, both from Titanium Backup and the SuperSU. I'm not sure if SuperSU had anything to do with it, but I have been trying to backup my newer apps/data I get an error message that there's insufficient space on the card. I added the media_rw line in the platform and rebooted the phone, but the error still exists. Any suggestions?

Full unroot from the app then go back to to supersu 2.46. That worked for me. If that doesn't work then you may need to install busy box if you don't have it installed already

Soooperstar, I just wanted to let you know that un-checking the name separation checkmark does the trick too.

Go Into the SuperSU settings and disable "Mount Namespace Separation." Titanium backup always complained about this setting in the past but it never caused me any issues until now. Either way, disabling this does the trick.

[Q] Need help "unrooting" or flashing a stock Rom. Verizon LG G2 vs980

I am kinda in a pickle here. I was rooting my phone using this Chinese .exe application and it had a big check Mark on the screen so I unplugged my phone. Mistake. It turns out that it kinda rooted my phone. No root apps work because the super su app that it downloaded with root was not working. I opened it up and it said I had to update my su binaries or something so I hit continue and it had an error that it couldn't download. I then tried installing titanium backup to try and uninstall it but sense I need super su to give it root, I can't uninstall it because of the super su problem. I tried installing superuser and it didn't work. Now I'm stuck because I can't fully root my phone with other ways which I have no idea why and i can't uninstall the bad super su app because I need it to work for me to be able to do it. I tried flashing my rom again but this stupid error saying I had to have internet to update software kept me from doing that and I DID have full internet access. I am stuck. Why can't their be just some extreme data reset that REALLY resets your phone. My phone still works fine but I have cod and having this problem is killing me, I almost can't even use my phone. PLEASE HELP I REALLY NEED IT!!!!

If you cannot update binaries, that usually means SuperSU cannot access root.
With a root browser (you shouldn't need root to do this though) look in /system/etc/init.d. Look for 99SuperSUDaemon. Also in /system/xbin look for daemonsu and su. Tell me if any of those are missing.

With TI you can freeze System Update 1.0 to stop OTA from loading. You might need to remove the update file if you already have it to stop the notice.

OC3. I know but I use my phone a LOT for work and need tethering to work more than anything else and already have foxfi working alright while being without root which is good enough for the time being......not sure how to set it (tethering) up once I am rooted without digging into XDA some more to find out.
Plus I have to set up all my apps again coming from my S3, and settings and such.

That's cool. Need time for that. OC3 roots the easiest but OE2 is easy too. Just one more step.
Here is what you need to get native tethering to work when you are ready.

Have you ever used odin? You could update manually. Or use smartswitch. I always use custom roms myself. Most of those have tethering enabled built in.

I've never used SmartSwitch before. Have used Odin a few times in the past but definitely wouldn't call myself "savvy" with it. On your link whats the difference between "Stock OE2 Tar" and "OE2 Retail Firmware" ?
The entire rooting process on the S6 freaks me out more than than the S3 simply because the battery is sealed and can't pull it if I need to....

The firmware one is like an update. I've never used smartswitch but it is supposed to be a safe way to update. There is kies too.
Rooting the S6 is simple and safe in my opinion. Ping-pong is a snap. No need for a computer. Instead of pulling the battery, you can always go into maintenance mode to reboot or turn off your phone. Just like going into download mode (except your phone is still on) you hold the volume down-home-power buttons for about ten seconds and let go. Gunthermic has a rooted rom that is stock deodexed that is really nice. Misterxtc has an OC3 and OE2 roms. You need to install flashfire. That is our only way to flash roms or mods. It works great (also does backups).

If you tap and hold on a notification, it will reveal the source applications name, it should be something like ESLSecurityAgent or something like that.
anyway to remove that notification on a non rooted device ?, my brother installed the apk for the exchange email and receives the same notification , long press on it , app info no option to turn off notifications.

I am following this link to root my new note 5 using the following link:

Therefore I dont know what to do. the post said the extension is supposed to be zip but there are in in only two img files, which when connected to the phone, won't even be recognize. so how can i flash the phone?

however, SuperSu would pop out at the end and when I check: root access denied: I think the previous root that I did not perform right, is the issue somehow. Is there any way to get rid of it or go around it?

Hi, I have done everything has said but at the end,the phone was not rooted and I am getting the following msg. Titanium backup when trying to look up if it was rooted correctly: Titanium Backup has been denied permission for an interactive shell.
Any idea what it means?

Did you flash a kernel? If you did then download super su from the market and try TiBu again. The error means that TiBu was not given super user permissions. So either you dont have a rooted kernel or you dont have SU installed to grant the requested permissions. OR you have both and just didnt grant SU permissions when asked.

I did flash a kernel , and any other softwares provided under this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...easy-steps-n920t-aoge-odin-twrp-root-t3187422
Next, what do you mean by Supersu from the market? What is TiBu also?
Thanks for your contribution.

The market has a super user app for managing SU permission requests, you may already have it. It will look like a pound sign "#" and say super user or SU. If you dont have that app you need to download it. The developer is named chainfire.
TiBu is short hand for Titanium Backup
Waouh I am learning a lot from you guys. O, I will be looking for that SU with the # sign. It is definitely not what I currently have.
by this sentence: "OR you have both and just didnt grant SU permissions when asked." : do you mean that the phone may have already been rooted? without SU telling me? because honestly, I dont know whats wrong.

If you already have SU then you would have been prompted to grant super user permission by a pop up dialog. If you mistakenly select deny or wasn't paying attention (it has a time out that will select deny but only temporarily if no user input is selected). If you mistaken selected deny then you would need to open the SU app and remove the TiBu entry, restart TiBu and select allow.. That is only IF you have the Super User (SU) app installed..
OMG! YOU ARE GENIUS! THAT WAS THE ISSUE.no it says that I do have root access! finally. Hyper shell (FAST): YES. However Fast/Auto App Install: No. THANK YOU THANK YOU

Hi, I just realized that I am not done yet. More new issue with the phone. It looks I did not do something right or one of the softwares is not correct: after we rooted the phone yesterday, IO had it unlocked with the help of stilfilz. However, ever since , when I make phone calls, the phone would go off by itself after a while.
Have you heard of previous similar mistakes? If yes, any ideas about how to fix it?

You need a different kernel. You should give me the model number of your phone and I will point you to the most recent arter kernel. I am assuming you are rooted with noble which was known for kernel panic during phone calls which caused reboots

I'm using this kernel from the original android development section for this phone.
