Rooted for over a year and need help upgrading - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm on android version 4.4.4 NK4 and I was wondering what exactly I had to do to get stock rooted lollipop. I would really appreciate any help I could get.

I used this post to update to OK4, current lollipop version, and then rooted stock version (I used metalfan's 1/19 modified build). he has a pure stock version too.

[Q]Regarding Google s4 Safestrap

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to all of this. I have a question about this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2767026
I am currently rooted, and safestrap on version 4.4.2 of kitkat. When I flash this, I am going to flash version 4.4.2, but this rom also has downloads for 4.4.3 and 4.4.4. Do I need to start with 4.4.2 and flash my way up in order to get to 4.4.4?
Thanks!

no, you can flash any one.

[Q] While OTA update to 4..4.4 work if I first restock on 4.4.2?

I need to flash my Moto G (currently on rooted stock 4.4.4) to stock 4.4.2 in order to solve some issues. I could not find any 4.4.4 stock Rom actually, only 4.4.2.
My 3 questions are:
- among the different versions of 44.2 Stock that are listed for my country, can I just select the highest version number?
- will the root stay after restocking to 4.4.2 as per the FAQ?
- once on 4.4.2, will the phone be updated over OTA again to 4.4.4?
Thanks

Can I root? looking to get an s6

I'm looking to grab a s6 but was not sure if it can be rooted? Are only certain build numbers able to be rooted ? Or is the latest 7.x version able to be rooted also ?
Thanks

Only root available is for 5.0.2 OE2 build. Currently if the phone is on version 5.1.1 or higher, there is no way to downgrade to 5.0.2 OE2. You'll need to find someone who has aan s6 already rooted or on that version of firmware for sale.

XT1031 stock Android 5.1 Lollipop -- which version of Xposed?

I searched this forum and couldn't find a recent report of successful install of Xposed on XT1031 with Android 5.1. I've gotten burned in the past installing Xposed on other phones (bootloop, have to reflash), so hoping someone can reply to let me know what has worked for them.
I looked here: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk22/arm/
Latest Xposed is xposed-v87-sdk22-arm.zip, dated 11/24/2016.
Is anyone successfully running this version on stock XT1031 with Android 5.1 (rooted, with TWRP recovery)? Or is there an older build I should run?
Thanks for any help!
Does anyone have positive experience installing Xposed on XT1031 with stock 5.1? Thanks for any help!

Updating old S7 To latest stable version

Hi
I Received some old S7-930F Device.
Currently it is Rooted with custom SuperMan ROM, Running over Android 8.0.0.
Basically, I want to make sure phone is up-to-date as "much as possible" in terms of:
1. Is there any android update newer than Android 8, which is stable, for Galaxy S7?
I know there's beta by lineage based on Android 10, but looking for only stable version.
If there is - Can someone please share some guide / thread with updating instructions?
2. Is there any update to baseband version?
Currently the phone runs with G930FXXU2ERG2
If there is - where can I get it, and how to install it?
Much appreciated
Thanks

Last version of S7 firmware is FXXS6ESGD, get it of sam mobile or Samfirm tool. There's some good roms based on that, de bloated that run really well.
