i can not adb fastboot system.img.error : can't load system.img
I must come back B205.
Here is my solution :
- I flash B122 stock with Gapps via TWRP ( I removed Super forder )
- reboot bootloader - > flash Huawei recovery -> reboot
- I have about 2 mintute to use the phone till it reboots automatic. I updated B205 via Updater app. The phone updated, have error messaging. But when the phone rebooted, It is on B205 and has google play ( is system application )
Now my phone is working well with B205
Ok,have fun with B205

T.T i think that we are in the same boat...
i have installed B205 and downgraded for a few hour, my X2 has rebooted after boot, lock-screen in B112...
i tried commands in fastboot flash, rom flashing using twrp recovery. but all the things didn't work on X2...
but in my case, X2 always rebooted when i visit a setting menu in android to upgrade B205...
what should i do? i cannot do anything on this situation.
the things working correctly are twrp recovery and fastboot.

When factory reset, we have more times to use the phone. So we have enough time to update B205 via updater app. Here is my solution :
- Download B112 zip rom at http://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-x2/development/rom-stock-b106-gapps-t3230585
then delete "Supersu" folder ==> we have Stock rom B122 without root.
- Download B205
- Flash TWRP.
Copy B112 zip to Internal storage ( anywhere )
Copy B205 ( update.zip ) to /dload
- Wipe system, data, cache, davikcache. Then flash B112.zip
- Don't reboot system. Reboot to bootloader -> flash Huawei recovery.
- Now reboot system. At the first boot, we have enough time to update B205 via updater app.
In my case, while update B205 have the messaging update fail. But when the phone boot, it's on B205 and everything working well.
Sorry for my poor english.Hope you can understand !

thanks for your quote. i just have solved all the things by installing B205.
my X2 didn't show any splash screen like huawei logo. it only showed just a white screen. i was shocked about it.....
i was thinking that now it was turned to a brick firmly ....
a moment while it turned on nomarlly, i did all sequences in order to upgrade from B112 to B205 ....
it just rebooted if i did slowly, then i could do all procedures what you said...
well... now i am using my X2 normally on marshmellow... i have to be used it.
thanks cvncbn.

[Edit] I've a backup saved on the pc, how can i restore that backup? (it was a backup of CM11) shall I zip the whole folder with the img files or shall I copy the whole folder into the phone?
I've tried both but when I choose "restore" from the TWRP nothing shows up
Hi all,
some months ago I've flashed the kitkat 4.2 rom successfully.
Yesterday I've got the message that a system update was available, (kit kat 4.4 the latest one)
I've downloaded it, then the phone rebooted to itself loading the TWRP recovery page therefore not installing the update.
I am now stuck and I don't know what to do.
- If from the TWRP menu I choose to reboot the phone, it loads fine but after a minute it reboot itself trying to install the OTA, rebooting again to TWRP menu
- I've tried to flash the OTA via TWRP from the cache folder but it fails.
Can you help me please?
Andrea :crying:
.
You can apply OTA patch only with full stock (also stock recovery, etc.)
To return to stock, read this thread.

Hi Andrea,
I got the same issue.
You can go into TWRP, then wipe the dalvik/cache and cache partitions (about 4 secs).
then reboot your phone, it will update all your app again but you should be fine.
Hope that helps.

I'm rooted on B023. Download rom . Update.
Unlock, fastboot TWRP recovery , install SU via TWRP from SD card, reinstall original recovery via fastboot.
Yeah that's the problem with root, you can't do OTA except flashing the full rom again and then setting up the phone all over. With such frequent updates from Huawei I wonder how many willing to keep it up.

I would see it this way for regular updates:
- Download full ROM
- extract system.img & boot.img & flash via fastboot
or copy to sdcard & dd to partition (system is /dev/block/mmcblk0p38)
You don't need to setup the system from scratch then.
You can do full updates once a while if there are significant changes (for example major version upgrades).
If I extract the system.img and boot.img, does that includes the updated apps that huawei put in?

Good Day,
Have been trying to reset my X2 for a week !
Trouble when upgrading to B209
(I got to stock B209 but then when I flashed KANGVIP B209 slim it all went wrong )
I need to get my device back to how it was on B112
I have a Huawei Backup of Apps + Data and also a TWRP nandroid image backup of my B112 system
Desperate to get back ..................but can't without the device constantly restarting itself with a grinding noise
I had this problem once before and recovered from it but seem unable to now and I have forgotten how I did it.....please HELP !
I have the stock B112 extracted
I have fastboot flashed the boot.img, cache.img, cust.img, recovery.img and system.img
I am getting to a stock B112 device but then it restarts itself
I even tried flashing from TWRP the universal-cust-b112.zip file but that does not cure it
Please help me guys...I need my device back stable and my apps and data back
Step by Step please ...............I am ok with fastboot (a little knowledge of ADB) and TWRP but still need full working instructions !
Thank you
this worked for me
you can read it in the SimplyGoogle Thread last page what happend.
coming back from Kangvip_Slim_B209
Hi,
i managed to go to KangVipSlimB209. After trying a few things with the help from audioralf i decided to try to go back to SimplyGoogleB112 following the Thread "Safe way to get back to B112 (android 5.1.1) from B205 or B209 (android 6.0) ."
It didnĀ“t worked
This is what i did after that :
1. Flash B112 Stock Images with ADB
Reboot
No Simcard Options, No carrier, Audio Problem and reboot again after unlock Lockscreen
Flash TWRP5.1.1
Factoryreset in TWRP
Boot into Bootloader
Flash Recovery B112
Reboot
After Factoyreset always no reboot after unlocking Lockscreen
2. After minimal Setup do a EMUI DLOAD GEM-703L_EMUI3.1_Android5.1_V100R001C233B112
Failed
Flash TWRP5.1.1
install SimplyGoogleB112
Factoryreset in TWRP
It worked
Problem now : My Phonememory ist diplayed in Settings 32GB but only 289MB free. Internal SD has only 3.86GB (already used 3,56GB)
I deleted the Custfolder and installed UniversalCust-B112, but no change.
I deleted the Custfolder again and installed UniversalCust-B209, also no change.
Is there a way to get internal SD back to 32 GB ?
Thanks for your help,
Sebastian Neumann

Greetings,

I used to be like you, would like to share some experience with you, firstly you must reflash rom KANGVIP_SLIM_B209 by reinstalling TWRP-ENG-6.0: Huawei MediaPad X2 connected to the computer, hold down the button at the same time source and volum - to enter the bootloader, ADB and fastboot open Minimal, in fastboot flash recovery TWRP-ENG-6.0.img, hold the power button at the same time and on the team to win volum + v2.8.7.0 recovery project, in Wipe, ADVANCED WIPE on, marking the start of Dalvik Cache 4; System; Cache, Data, done repeatedly, to install KANGVIP_SLIM_B209 selected in the external storage card, after completing the installation KANGVIP_SLIM_B209, reconnected to the computer, copying all data from the memory of the computer.
Then you continue working under the guidance of the article vuhongduong Safe Way to Get back to B112 (android 5.1.1) B205 or B209 from (android 6.0)
Wish you luck and success

Will android pay stop working even if I use the official beta 7.0?
Thanks man, but is there any successful way to flash B324 so far?
Is Wi-Fi calling enabled in this beta?
Managed to do the same using Charles app (see https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...-to-nougat-t3510275/post69885525#post69885525) without any unlocking and flashing.
I have the FRD-L04B567 phone. I installed the TWRP for the Honor 8. I have installed a different ROM (CM13.1 ROM) successfully. I followed your instructions to the "T" in post #1 . The install of update.zip stopped at /cust with an error. I tried wiping and rebooting but am stuck in the "honor" bootup screen. Unable to force back into TWRP or fastboot or ADB at this time. Still picking up the pieces....
UPDATE: I forced phone into Huawei eRecovery screen and selected factory reset/wipe That got Nougat running but there is no keyboard and Google will only allow voice for any input. Since my wifi is encrypted, I cant give Nougat a password to get on the internet. I am creating a temporary unencrypted network to see if I can get further.
UPDATE: TWRP was wiped so I will reinstall. Then I will try update the regional update (second update mentioned)
UPDATE: Reflashed TWRP 3.0.2.0 for Honor 8, I can get into the bootloader but not recovery, eRecovery works but...(worthless). I cant flash the second update.zip because I cant get TWRP started. Obviously 3.0.2.0 is not compatible with Nougat, I may try 3.0.3.0? why not...
UPDATE - Flashing TWRP 3.0.3.0 was dumb. Now ADB sees the device (good) but I can not get to bootloader or recovery. TWRP flashes (displays) once a second and will not start (bad) . Hopefully someone can learn from my quest.
So, can someone help me proceed from a state where ADB sees the device? thanks Maybe extract update.zip?

Thanks for the reply, I finally got TWRP 3.0.2.0 for Honor 8 flashed (but now it won't work), I believe Nougat and TWRP aren't compatible. Huawei Hisuite said that phone was fine and recovery not necessary??? I disagree. I think I will have to wait for TWRP that is Nougat compatible with FRD-L04

Same problem as above, I could flash the update.zip, but not the USA package, maybe I didn't have the right TWRP version?
Hi guys i was trying to install a custom rom on my mate 9 (MHA-L29C432-156)so i followed the instructions ; unlocked the bootloader; then installed twrp 3.1.0-0; on twrp formated data; then full wiped and try to install AurRom from SD; but get a message that zip file is corrupted; so I tried with S.H.I.E.L.D ROM and it flashed , but then when boot goes to eRecovery, and give me 3 options download latest version and recovery; reboot and shutdown. So now I cant boot the phone, when I restarted, followed same steps , format data, full wipe and trying to installing again but getting a message about all zip files of the roms are corrupted; then i try to restore backup; and same again get the huawei logo, then the android logo , phone restarts and eRecovery again.
Please someone HELP, I use this phone for my work...........!!!!!!!!!
How did you full wipe?
Also try with Twrp 3.0.2-2

Something went wrong here. You can run 'adb logcat' to see the crash details while starting.
If you have a backup on twrp then restore to get phone working. You may need to flash the public and hw-data zips afterwards though.
If you don't have a backup then you could try flashing the C636 off line firmware and then use firmware finder to go back to your original firmware
Sent from my MHA-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
you may just flash the modified recovery ( See Guide subforum ) ) to bypass the update certification and authorization and reflash an original firmware. your stored files will be lost anyway in most cases.
I would bet superuser ( shield ) and SuperSU ( Aurom) messed your boot image. Both are incompatible to each other and, afaik both are incompatible to twrp 3.1.
Flash TWRP 3.0.2.2, reboot to recovery again to change version, flash the rom ( f.e. shield rom), boot once up, reboot to recovery and THEN you may flash twrp 3.1
Thanks all of you guys, I've solved the problem, it seems that's something related to the sd card, I've formated the sd and transfer the files trough another phone and then put the sd on the mate 9, I follow the steps as followed before and works successfully, now I'm on AurRom and 182 firmware.
