So where is the option to disable app drawer? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I heard a lot about it and was interested in seeing what my device would be like without an app drawer. However, I have yet to find any sort of toggle in the settings that allow me to show all the apps on the screen.
I have the T-Mobile variant.
EDIT: Seems as though the feature was only available in something called Galaxy Labs which does not appear on my device: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBBRJywf9L0

Try a different launcher if that's what you want to see. Not a great option, IMO.

Or move all of your apps to the home screen

menu -> advanced .... -> Galaxy Labs -> Show all apps .....

What menu?

settings

Still not seeing finding the galaxy labs menu. I even tried searching for "galaxy" and "labs" with nothing found.

[Q&A] How to sort apps in the app drawer

I was posting a question to find out if is it possible to change the sort order of the apps in the apps drawer.
Then I found out that in the options it's possible to switch between Alphabetical or Customisable grid (Option - View type).
Alternatively in edit mode it's possible to change and save the custom sort order (it took me sometime to find out...)
Just in case someone else has the same question ...
Where did you find the options that offered "to switch between Alphabetical or Customisable grid"? I wonder if it is one of those things that are not available in the USA models?
It's in the top right button (the one with three horizontal lines) of the app drawer.
It shows the options: "Play Store - Edit - Uninstall - Download apps - View type - Share app - Hide applications - Show hidden application".
If you select "View type" you can choose between "Alphabetical grid" or "Customisable grid".
It seems like a standard ICS option. It'd be strange if it it isn't present in the US model... but I don't know that.
Appzorter on the play store can sort icons in alphabetical order. Not sure if it works on tablets though.

[Q] Hide and password protect a specific app!

Looking for an app that allows me to hide an app (Lets call it "Q") from the system, maybe in such a way that it doesnt appear to be installed either, is this possible? (i have root).
And I also want to password protect Q, all password protectors i find just popup a screen with a enter password-request whenever Q is opened, but Q is very clearly visible with its contents on the multitasking menu of the Galaxy S5, and this isnt good enough.
Its would also be a bonus if the app will not allow itself to be un-installed.
I want real security on this application. Military style. Willing to pay for it.
Does anyone have any tips?
As for app locking, I'd highly recommend AppLocker. Very secure, very reliable, just plain good all around.
As for app hiding, I'm not aware of any apps that do this. However, if you'd like to have it available on your homescreen, many custom launchers (like ADW) offer app shortcut label and icon changing. For example, I use ADW Launcher with the Minimalist theme, and I have my email app password-protected and labelled "Light Bulb" with an illuminated light bulb as the custom icon.
Hope this helps! And if it does, don't forget a thanky!
Get Hide it pro from play store. It has an option to hide apps using root and it won't even show up under Apps in settings.

Unfortunately AppLocker is the first app i tried out. This just pops up a window infront of the screen whenever it notices that Q is open, but it doesnt really help when the recent apps list is up, all the contents are easily visible from the menu :/
When it comes to hiding Q, I was hoping i could make it dissapear from the "Installed applications" list in settings->Applications menu.
If someone steals the phone from me, they are not supposed to be able to find out that this particular app is installed.
Its already hidden from app drawer and is password protected. But if anyone checks the list of actually installed applications, it shows up there, and it also shows up in recent apps list. I want it to vanish

Location of Google Settings on S7 Edge

Hi All,
Pretty sure the Google Settings was an option in the Settings menu of the notification shade - but I just can't find it. Had an update this morning (looks like March's security update) and wondering if it has moved it. It's not an app under the app drawer either.
Anyone else know where it is?
I think a google play services update got rid of that a while ago. Just go to the google folder and open "Google" and then use the hamburger menu to access the settings.
Settings-Applicastions- at bottom, there is Google settings.

Bingo! Knew I'd seen it somewhere. Funny thing is, it doesn't show up in the settings search feature (which is a superb feature in general IMHO)

Annoying Default App Fixed!!

I found it so annoying when my phone would automatically set a default app when sharing something or opening a link. Previous phones and Android versions allowed me to choose "Just Once" or "Always" by my Samsung Galaxy S7 on Marshmallow didn't.
Well, they snuck the option back in there, don't know for how long.
Settings - Applications - Default applications - Default app selection - Ask before setting default apps
Thank you Samsung!... but it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place

It's a good feature considering the majority Android users who don't really care.

Wallpaper issue

Recently I encountered that ain't able to change the wallpaper in my galaxy s8 plus. This message comes up
" Set as wallpaper
Seems that you have hidden all the apps from the list. To restore them, go to setting".
I tried from settings, apps to, rest app preferences, but I found all apps require permissions which took long time to give. Any help
