I know, I know. Airpush detector. I tried and uninstalled everything and I'm getting this annoying ad all day. Any suggestions?
Okay, I figured out that at least one of the ads was coming from tapcommerce, which is owned by Twitter! So I uninstalled twitter...
Also, on tapcommerce website, there is a page that reads Opt Out. However, there's no actual way to opt out.

Pay for Adguard, I paid 22 for a lifetime license on my phone. Only issue I have noticed with Adguard is that it takes some battery. Here's the link if you want to try it out.

Unfortunately, this is what I had to do. So far, no more full screen ads. Still, I'd like to find the culprit app that's doing this, but I've uninstalled a ton of newer installations (since this only started recently) and still have no idea which app these were coming from.
Whats a good app to detect and remove pop up ads? I use Adware now.

Hello,
I read an article recently.
Basically there was a free version of the app that would create disposable emails for you to use when you sign up for websites and such.
And a paid version that would do the same for credit cards and phone numbers.
I cannot for the life of me find it through google or the app store. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I can't imagine it ever being on the Play Store as I'm fairly sure creating a fake credit card number is highly illegal.
I read something like that too, let me have a dig around, I think I read it on The Verge

Thanks will try it.
And sorry I wasn't clear, it's not fake credit card numbers, it's just a disposable number that points to your actual credit card. So you can process a transaction without actually giving out your credit card online.
I'd imagine it's similar to how you pay via your credit card on paypal.

Yup that was it, unfortunately the app requires a $5/mo subscription to their premium service. Guess I'll just use the free e-mail chrome extension.
Been Tweeting today and had a tweet conversation with T-Mobile.
I hope so!?

Retweeteed: Real or not?
I don't know if KimB 2/2 was accurate or it's just words that are going around internally in Tmo. It's a something but my return window is ticking...
I'm out of 8 thanks for the day but I'll come back and give you one @Corwinder.
I'm on there ass like no one's business. #thegulden1
Damn Twitter. When you click on the option to see the conversation you think you'd get to see it. Nope. That message came in two parts. It looks like more of the no info. At the very least they point me to an article that mentions the petition so T-Mobile knows about the petition I guess.

I'm trying to redeem the free VR promotion with Verizon, but I'm having trouble at the "Upload your Receipt" page. I've tried Chrome and IE, and both simply say "unknown error" when I try to upload any file, regardless of file type or size. Has anyone had any success?
I tried the last few days and I get either an error or bad request. I'm going to chat with them now, thanks for reminding me.
Edit:
I went on chat to let them know I was having errors. I tried submitting my claim again right after and it worked fine. Ive got my submission number and we're all good to go.
Where is the page for a free VR through Verizon? I thought that was only when you purchased through Google?

I too was having this issue all of yesterday, and they were aware of it. Submission database was being maintenanced most of that day. I tried a 5th time about 2 hours ago and it worked finally.

Awesome! Yeah, I was worried that submitting later would kinda put us at the back of the queue. But my brother did it the hour he got the phone on the 20th, I did mine today. But both estimate November 6th.
PSA; The networks that connect the internet has been under ddos and may or may not have affected recent failed internet activity. Personally have had several transactions and pages fail all over the place, Comcast, Cricket Wireless, even the Google store.

Hi, noob here. I was wondering if you can actually get your google account banned from the playstore as in if it's possible and has it happened before to people. I am referring to people that play unlicensed games without paying for the games. Is it possible or is it not? And if it is, how hard is it to get banned for playing unpaid games on your android phone?

if you get caught using unlicensed app and play store verifies its not licenced....App simply refuses to work and nothing else

You definitely can get banned from xda for talking about piracy. So I'd not do that again. :good:

Does anybody have any updates when we'll get the Bixby Voice assistant in USA? It really disappointing that not only Korea got it, but there rumors about Bixby voice assistant for the fridges.? Wish they could have it situated already. I'm anxious to see how it is.
I think it's doomed. Too much competition, proprietary to devices, and launched incomplete meaning most average users will have already dismissed it and won't be likely to give it a second look.

Samsung would be better off getting amazon to partner up and attach an android alexa version on that button. Essentially sell the physical button real estate to an established player that people in the US would be interested in actually using.
