[Completed] Is it really impossible to soft-unbrick a Nexus 6 if you can't go into the settings? - XDA Assist

i tried to root my Nexus 6 running 6.0.1 and i got to unlock the bootloader and even install TWRP recovery but after that it showed a red flag and it said "Your Phone is Corrupt" or something along those lines and everywhere i looked said their device booted fine and nothing was wrong but for some reason mine shows the message and then 5 seconds after the screen turns off and I can hear the AT&T boot animation but i can't actually see it or anything else because after that, my Nexus just turns off and if i try turning it back on the same thing repeats. i have tried wiping cache and dalvik, i have tried what i think is anything and everything but i am a pretty new person to the whole Rooting aspect of android so i'm not sure and i've heard that soft-bricks are easy to get rid of yet i can't get rid of mine and an android expert on google groups told me there was no way around it and that i was better off just contacting the warranty provider. is this true? please help i'm very stressed out as i haven't even finished paying off the phone

[Completed] [Q] I think im soft bricked? HTC Inspire 4g/DHD

I bought a used HTC Inspire 4g/DHD and it had already been flashed with "Jellytime." Thats all I really know. I know the basics of flashing and such. But here is the problem. Everything seemed in order, so i gave the phone to a friend to use, and then it started having a ton of issues. Video would go all wonky in landscape mode, phone would lock up, become unresponsive etc. So i attempted a factory restore via the boot menu and clockworkmod. Everything seemed to be going all good, then suddenly it gave me 2 errors saying it could not find and could not mount recovery files.
I thought, okay, weird, and let the phone finish doing what it is doing and restarted. It took probably 5-6 minutes after the restart and i finally got to the first screen to setup android (select language) and got a slew of pop up error messages saying XXX app has crashed or is not responding or that files were missing. and would not let me progress past that first screen. Now the phone will not even boot past the "jellytime" logo. (HTC logo flashes first, then jellytime animation and just stays there).
So i am at a loss as to what to do next because i cant get into android to enable USB debugging to use whatever process to reflash a suitable ROM. My friend really needs a phone back so a prompt response would be appreciated.

Maybe you have to re-flash the whole ROM. Startig freshly (with a factory reset / wipe data) is recommended.
And don't give the device to this friend again
If you have further questions, please ask in the Inspire 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !

I posted over in the other forum. But my issue is that I cannot do the factory restore and data wipe. It will not complete. It give me a missing recovery file error. And it can't mount the missing recovery files. It is why I am so stuck.

As I can see, you have already posted your question in the Q&A forum ([Q] soft bricked or screwed?).
So now you have to be patient and wait for someone to answer there.

URGENT HELP NEEDED -- "com.android.systemui has stopped" bootloop -- Verizon LG G3

URGENT HELP NEEDED -- "com.android.systemui has stopped" bootloop -- Verizon LG G3
I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong section, but I need some urgent help with my phone. I posted in this section hoping to get some quick responses.
I have a LG G3 with rooted stock 4.4.2 rom running xposed.
So I pulled my phone out of my pocket today only to see the Verizon boot logo in effect. I was thinking "that's weird, guess my phone needed to reboot? Strange." But the only problem is it never stopped. It will only boot up to the lock screen and occasionally it will display an error message telling me the systemui has stopped. Then about 10 seconds later, it reboots itself. It continues this process until I pull the battery.
I've tried booting into safe mode, no luck. It doesn't even actually boot into safe mode (it doesn't say safe mode in the bottom left corner.) Then it just reboots again,
I tried wiping the cache, no luck.
I don't want to just do a factory reset because that hasn't seemed to help anyone else with this issue as far as I've seen. I have not found any helpful information on how to fix this problem.
And no, I haven't changed anything lately that could have messed it up. A couple days ago I cut off some wakeup paths for Google Play Services via Greenify, but I don't think that's the cause of the problem.
My question is, what do I do? I feel lost on this subject. Normally I've always been able to diagnose problems on my own, but not in this situation.
I have all my apps and data backed up to Titanium Backup on my SD card if that's of any relevance.
Any suggestions?
If you can go to CWM just flash abother ROM like android L
Sent from LG L3 via XDA App / Wyslane z LG L3 przez aplikacje XDA

How would I go about doing that with a device that won't boot up?
I'm not familiar with flashing ROMS and things like that.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to fix it and keep the phone the way it was. I understand that may not be possible though

[Completed] Moto G 2nd Gen Marshmellow update.

I rooted my device using king root, in that state i got the notification for an official update. I went to settings, about phone, and updated. after it rebooted, it started installing the update. halfway through the the status bar was a little less half full, it stopped and booted normally. It said the the update installation was unsuccessful. I remembered that i had the stupid kingroot, so i uninstalled it, it rebooted, everything so far so good. i went just to double check the OS version currently installed, still on 5.0.2 Lollipop. This time i went ahead and started installing the update. I noticed that this time it looked fine because the status bar didn't stop halfway through like last time. It kept going until it was more than half full. So I was like "ok, lets just leave it for now to do its job and ill look at it later" Later, I looked and it had a black screen with the android model with an exclamation mark. It said: "No Command" I decided not to **** with it, so i jut left it. I went to Motorola's website, and chatted with one of their technicians. She told me to factory reset it. She gave me instructions on how to do that, Which those instructions did not work. I went on YouTube and figured out a way on how to get into recovery mode and factory reset it, and that was what i did of course. Now all it does is boot, show me android model, power off. Then it keeps doing the same thing over and over until the battery dies, or i force to shut down from recovery mode. BTW i still can access recovery mode, and everything is useless and leads to boot-loop thing i just mentioned. Please help i feel like i really ****ed it up.

Hello,
I'd recommend you to restore your device back to stock firmware Restore to Stock][XT1068][All Dual Sim Model][4.4.4] with fastboot.
Also, I would advice you not to flash bootloader again. (Since if yours is updated with marshmallow one, flashing the older one (downgrading) might end in a brick).

[Completed] Phone doesn't turn on/stuck in bootloop

Need suggestions for this.
A few weeks ago I rooted my phone to remove some apps that I never used. I just kept using my phone as always and did nothing special except removing those apps. Today I decided to unroot my phone because I felt it would be safer in case anything should happen to it (HOW IRONIC). It's only 3 months old and I didn't want to loose my warranty. I opened the SuperUser app and clicked full unroot and clicked continue. My phone instantly returned to the home screen and then powered off. Then it turned on again, but now the message "Samsung Galaxy S7 powered by Android" keeps flashing on the screen. I went into recovery mode and tried wiping the cache first, but nothing changed. Then I wiped all my data and did a factory reset, but my phone keeps flashing and won't turn on. I'm really desperate and don't know what to do because I'm afraid I can't take it to my retailer because my phone is rooted (if it still is rooted, but I have no idea). What should I do?

Stuck on "Checking network" after factory reset

Just realized i posted this in the wrong area and I'm not sure how to delete. Phone is a galaxy s7 edge. Sorry.
So i rooted my phone, deleted something i shouldn't have, then had to use odin to fix it after i got stuck in a boot loop (i think i used this: G935AUCU4BQF3). The phone starts up, says there was an authorized attempt... etc, ask for a wifi connection, then gets stuck on checking network. I bought the phone in the US, but I am currently living in China. I have tried 3 different wifi connections, and tried using a VPN.. but it still hangs. I have also tried wiping cache partition and wipe data/factory reset in the recovery. I believe i was originally on whatever update came out in November (i think i remember my phone doing an update). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking for a solution for 3 days, and have yet to come up with anything. Asking for help here was my final option.
There's been a couple of other members with the same problem, unable to connect to enter Google credentials and remove the FRP lock
Not sure if a solution was found but if you search this Q&A forum section you should come across a couple of threads about it
