Marshmallow?
1. I noticed that in the OP it said M8 GPE so is this ROM a port of sorts of the marshamallow GPE ROM of the M8 or does it just have some inclusions from that ROM? If it's the former then this is freaking amazing!
2. Since this ROM is based on Skydragon does that mean that the installation instructions from Skydragon apply to this ROM? Such as needing to be S-OFF. I am S-ON so that's why I ask.
3. If it does require S-OFF can I just manually flash the boot image like in santod040 M7 GPE ROM to make it work?

It sadly doesn't boot. I'm stucked for 30 mins in boot loading screen.

It's just this repacked
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400161
In fact installer and build number are unaltered.
Same install methods apply if you are S-ON.
It's lollipop as is the M8 UI which adds the following features:
Lockscreen DT2S
Statusbar DT2S
Clear all recent apps
No search bar in recents
Centred statusbar clock (optional)
Right Quick Settings pulldown

Cheers Liam. Involved me getting some things working and adding good tweaks and apps. I've not built from source and probably never will as I personally couldn't commit that sort of time. Best part has been discovering the great open source apps and alternatives out there, which I still am.

ROM won't boot?
I followed the installation instructions written in the OP but, after leaving my phone for 20 minutes it would not boot. I then forced a restart by holding down the power button as elementalx sometimes get's ROM stuck on a bootloop and after doing that and letting it reboot for 10 minutes nothing happened. I also got a bootloop when I flashed the ROM only no elementalx. When I say bootloop it's the booting animaiton not the htc logo.
BTW in the aroma installer for elemental x kernel I selected the stock voltage instead of "Undervolt (850 min)" or any other one because undervolting could produce some boot failures. Every other setting is selected to stock.
I am using TWRP 3.0.0 recovery could that be the issue? It flashes other ROMs fine so the recovery is not corrupted.
I will attach a logcat later on so you can see what happens. Not at a computer at the moment.

The ROM is lollipop but it has addittions from m8GPE. Were you able to get it to boot? Cause I have been having difficulties.

Did you try to flash boot.img? (worked for me)

People who are having issues to boot, Are you using latest GPE firmware? I couldn't boot our rom without it so should be the same case here

That's the beauty of not having google play services. Can't believe they actually make a huge difference.
Google please optimize google play services and google apps in general.

ROM Booted!
I flashed the boot image provided through fastboot and then I flashed the ROM only and it booted perfectly. I only waited for around 4 minutes so it was very fast. I am S-On. Flashing the boot image definitely works
I will now try to flash the ROM plus kernel at the same time. Will edit this post in around 10 minutes.
Edit: Ok so I tried to flash kernel and ROM at same time after flashing boot image and the ROM booted perfectly. Weird thing is though that after I wiped data, cache, system, dalvik I flashed the ROM again with and without kernel (before first boot) without flashing the boot image and it worked perfectly as well. I don't know what was going on with my phone last time I tried to flash were it got stuck on bootloops. This is very strange as I haven't changed my firmware on my phone since last time I tried or done anything differently in my flashing procedures.
Well for how weird this experience was, I am very glad that I am able to use your ROM so I can provide feedback and also be able to enjoy it.

[BS_FREE_Lollipop_5.0_Rom_BOK3_Based]

This is a modified version of @jrkruse stock BOK3 deodexed ROM with all(or most) of the stock BS removed.
This BS_free ROM does not have two different versions like his previous build. I left only the Samsung apps needed for UPSM and HD calling to work.
INSTRUCTIONS:
I've included the links needed if you want to use xposed and Viper4Android. If you chose not to use these features, then skip them in the flashing process.
I personally prefer using safestrap when clean flashing a ROM, but you can use flashfire if you must.
1) WIPE EVERYTHING!
2) Flash No_BS ROM
3) Flash Extra toggles
4) Flash No_Bootloader_Rooting_Tools_For_S5_Lollipop_V3.zip
5) Flash xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon.zip
6) Flash Viper Policy
7) Flash Viper4Android
8) Flash BOK3 Firmware without bootloader
9) After first boot, open up Viper4Android and install the driver. Note: Sometimes it takes 2-3 times before the driver will install.
I have confirmed that @jrkruse 5-way reboot with Safestrap works on this ROM!!! If you want to use it, add it to the end of the flashing list. 5Way_Safestrap_Reboot_PM. As a side note, if you use 4-way reboot in Wanam Xposed, then that feature needs to be disabled for 5-way reboot to work.
The ROM should boot in about 8 minutes. The music app will force close everytime the device reboots, but it does work normally.
Forgive my lack of knowing how to make a build thread, since this is my first one, so I'm still learning lol.
NO_BS_BOK3_ROM_DEODEXED.zip
Update: NO_BS_BOK3_ROM_DEODEXED_V2 is now available. The flashing process is the same. I encountered an intermittent bug with SuperSU beta with some apps. I downgraded to the latest stable SuperSU with the latest app. I updated all other apps and got rid of the bright/ugly Verizon boot animation. The music app has not force closed since I started using this version.
Update: NO_BS_BOK3_ROM_DEODEXED_V3.zip is now available. The flashing process is the same. I updated busybox and removed SBrowser. I also implemented the signature verification fix by @jrkruse, along with default animation scales set to 0.5x.
Update: NO_BS_BOK3_ROM_DEODEXED_V4 is now available. The flashing process is the same. I updated all apps, except for YouTube(xposed purposes). I added the missing VPN apk as well. Let me know if there is any other issues with VPN related settings.
Update: NO_BS_BOK3_ROM_DEODEXED_V5 is now available. The flashing process is the same. I updated all apps. I added the headphone app notification, voicenote, and SPrintSpooler. I don't use voicenote or SPrint, so let me know if there are any issues with these apps.
Note: Don't pay attention to the 1- prefix in front of some of the ROM versions. I prefix all my flashables in my ROM folder with a 1-, 2-, 3-, ect, so that I have them all in order when I flash them instead of having to remember the order every time lol. I forgot to remove those prefixes when I uploaded the ROMs.
I am looking forward in seeing how this Rom is doing.
Question Do i need to install all items list in OP or can i just install first and last as that is all i am needing?

Works like a charm! Just wish someone could get Quick Glance working. I've seen it work in MOAR, but the 3minit mod that's included is a complete turnoff for me.

I've used this in the past and I wasn't a big fan, but I didn't spend a lot of time trying to get it properly configured. I only tried it to see what it did. I personally don't like motion features.

I'm on BS_FREE_BOG5_GOOGLE_V2_Deodexed and just updated with @jkruse New Root Tools For S5 Lollipop V6. Already enabled Lollipop Safestrap Recovery again and Flashed Most Current OG5 Firmware_No_Bootloader and current OG5_Kernel. Can I just use that and wipe everything flash this aside from 3Minit Battery without losing Root?

No, I mean using the V6 Root Tools instead of the V3 as indicated in your directions...
Also, I'm hoping that with a new install I will regain ability to work with Accessibility Options in Settings.
Idk if it makes a difference but I have Original GS5 Rooted, never taken OTA, always ONLY used XDA sources for ROM/Firmware/Kernels.

My rooting tools has the newest firmware, I just forgot to change the version number at the end, but it does say no bootloader.
I wish you luck on the accessibility apps. I never use them, so I don't specifically look for them to work.

I did have a hard time Restoring Poweramp Music Player - I had to reinstall from Play Store but otherwise seems to be working great!

[Rom] [Stock] [Rooted] [Deodexed] [Debloated] [TWRP Flashable Zip] [SM-T350]

The reason I am posting here and not in the Rom section is because I am not a developer. I am an Android enthusiast who, with the help of a few awesome tools, some reading and some help from a couple of great devs, I was able to build a custom rom from a stock first release. I have been running it now for a couple of weeks and battery life is awesome. Just enough Samsung apks left in too call it a stock rom but not so many to cause it to lag. I thought that since it was running so nice, I would share it with you. So, without further ado, this is what I came up with.
"Ghost Project v1.0 6.0.1 t350" This is only for the t350.
With the help of a few awesome people, that provided me with the direction and resources links, I was able to take a stock firmware.tar (T350XXU1BPE3) and make a TWRP flashable zip. This is what I came up with:
I am not a developer..... Let me make this clear.. Lol.. I am not a developer. But I did use an awesome tool that allowed me to make this rom " superr kitchen" .... http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/kitchen-superrs-kitchen-t3202296/page26
So first and foremost a big thanks goes out to this developer for this awesome tool.
I would also like to give props to Samsung and Sammobile.com for the firmware.
The kernel is from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/development/kernel-galaxy-tab-sm-t555-5-8-2016-t3433560 and is a stock, permissive kernel. By "[ashyx, http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4899305 Recognized Contributor]" another awesome dev. This is a stock kernel in every respect with SElinux set to permissive.
I would also like to thank and give props to"{FankieT} of {R3Ds themes and Development}" https://plus.google.com/communities/102477541363210451018 for all of his help and guidance. He was who got me started into Linux through Ubuntu and spent many hours teaching this old dog the ways of Android coding. Just a pinch of coding on my part..lol

Use at your own risk. ********You have been warned..*********
Features:
1. Rooted with chainfires SuperSu in system, not systemless (I hate systemless root)
2. Busybox installed
3. Debloated. I didn't go too far (for reliability) but will work on getting more Samsung system apps removed.
4. Zip aligned
5. Deodexed (I may make one that is odexed later on)
6. Removed Kies
7. Custom kernel
Stock but SElinux permissive (see note on developer in Intro)
8. Some script changes but nothing to change system behavior
9. Added ES File explorer v3.2.5.
This app will try to update unless Play Store settings are changed to not auto update. But if you like the latest than update it.
10. Added Nova Launcher v3.3
I don't like the newer Material Designed updated builds. This will also try to update unless settings in Play Store are set to not auto update.
11. Latest Google Keyboard.
I just don't care for Samsung's and like the theming features of Google's latest keyboard. Samsung keyboard is still in though if you prefer to use it instead.
12. According to the toolkit, Knox was removed. Although I still see it in the settings tab under Settings/about phone. I don't think this can be removed safely however all updates (annoying notifications stating that there is an update available) have been removed so there shouldn't be any chance of accidentally updating to the latest firmware, if any is released. If you want an update than you will have to download any updates ( if the are any) from Samsung and use Odin to install it.
Kernel:
Here is a link to the kernel developer's thread, who is another awesome dev, who's kernel is the heart of this rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...el-galaxy-tab-sm-t555-5-8-2016-t3433560/page8
By "[ashyx, Recognized Contributor]" This is a stock kernel in every reguard with SElinux set to permissive.
A few other small things here and there but mostly stock.
-This is a flashable zip using TWRP recovery and I highly recommend the 2.8.7.0 build as apposed to the 3.0.2.0 build that is also on XDA in this forum.
Link to recovery built by "ashyx" an awesome dev...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/development/recovery-t3426560/page13
-Since this is a stock rom build, gapps are included
#####Flashing instructions#######
###MUST BE ON MARSHMALLOW BUILD ****T350XXU1BPE3******####### so, if you are on a lollipop build (5.0.1) you need to update to 6.0.1 and have TWRP installed........
1. Make a backup onto your external SD card or on a PC using TWRP recovery. This is a very important step as things do go wrong. You have been warned.
2. Wipe. I recommend a clean install with all 4 major wipes done (system, Cache, Dalvik Cache and Data)
3. Flash "Ghost Project v1.0 6.0.1 t350" rom zip.
4. Wipe both Cache and Dalvik Cache
5. Reboot to system and profit.
*****The first boot will take a long time to boot. Put the device down and walk away until it boots (could take up to 15 minutes ) but most likely around 12 to 15 minutes. That is because all files are deodexed.
After it boots up Go ahead and set up the device the way you like it and enjoy.
I also have a Google Plus Communitee Called "Hayes Tech Rom Reviews" where you can go to watch reviews/overviews of custom roms for many devices that I own. I have about 20 to 25 devices now and try to do reviews on all the diferent roms out for them. I also have awesome links like the 3Minit battery mod by{made by "gharrington"} for the Nexus 6 and many more things. Please feel free to stop by.

**LAST BUT NOT LEAST****USE AT YOUR OWN RISK**
Warning, I am not a developer. All I am doing is sharing my personal build. I am not nor will I be responsible for anyone ruining your device. Thermonuclear war or Loss of job from device not working is your responsibility. And above all this zip will void your warranty.
I can't think of anything else..lol.. This is the first time for me so I'm not too sure about proper post etiquette for Custom Roms. I am not posting in the roms section because I am not a developer. I do not have the skills those great people have. We just do not have any stock based roms yet and mine is running great so I am sharing with you all. I am going to try to add more custom features and may even add a pure stock rom for total stock experience, let me know... Enjoy.

Yes it does. I used the kernel that is in this forum to build it with and it is a permissive kernel. The version is v87.1-sdk23-arm made by Wanam specifically for Samsung. I am running it now asking with gravitybox and a few other mods.
Just remember that since it is deodexed it will take a long, long time to boot. I timed it on my last 2 flashes at around 13 minutes both times. My battery life is outstanding.

Just installed this, flashed it and xposed at the same time, took 7 minutes to boot the first time.
Updating, reinstalling and debloating things I don't need now.
Seems faster than the debloated 5.02 rom I was on.
Will keep you posted after everything is done

Sorry, I am on night shift and was getting some sleep..lol.. I used Gravitybox MM. It has almost everything in it that I need to make a stock rom custom..lol..
ratchetrizzo said:
Just installed this, flashed it and xposed at the same time, took 7 minutes to boot the first time.
Updating, reinstalling and debloating things I don't need now.
Seems faster than the debloated 5.02 rom I was on.
Will keep you posted after everything is done

Thats great... It takesk me 13 minutes on both ( plus or minus)... Every device will respond differently though so the boot times will vary. Thats Awesome.

I screwed something up with a xposed module (I guess, everything was fine until I installed a power menu module and told it to reboot into recovery). No matter what I did, It would only boot into twrp. Even if I powered off and plugged the charger in, instantly twrp. Reflashing the rom did absolutely nothing, I had to odin stock then reflash this rom.
Ah well, live and learn with xposed.. I know not to install that power module lol

I hear ya. Xposed is something I use only if I know the module. I never use test version (anymore .. lol) I did the same thing you did a whike back with some other mod.
The only mods I use are Gravitybox, Notify Clean, Xuimod, and sometimes either HK theme engine out Xtheme engine. Gravitybox has most all mods that I need built right in it including an advanced powed menus settings.
Also, when you were in that issue, did you try using the Xposed uninstall zip? That may have got you fixed up too.

Well, even with gravitybox's reboot menu, if i have it boot me into recovery it sets the recoverybit and makes me reflash stock firmware.
so DON'T pick recovery from your reboot menu

I use it all the time. I just rebooted into recovery just before I responded here. Anyways there are also app on the p
Play Store that will reboot you to recovery too, like "Quickboot". I don't understand why this is giving you issues. What version of recovery are you on? There are problems with the 3.0.2.0. I used the other one on this forum 2.7.8.0.

It was my first Android also.
Been waiting for a modern ROM for it...
I think I got it loaded, but can't get thru the setup, due to popups...
com.android.phone has stopped...
google play services has stopped....
"that" has stopped...
"whatever" has stopped.....
Edit: I reinstalled the ROM today, and was able to setup properly. Only quirk so far is a red outline that flashes around the screen occasionally.
great news!
@mdmower - I was following your GitHub notes over the past while, always hoping there would be something which we could use!
Thanks to all involved - I still have and use my evita, but often with an alternate SIM for travel. It is still a very nice phone. I put new batteries in both my evita, and my wife's, and they keep going. But security... That's where LineageOS, and this build, will be crucial.
I need my evita as a daily-driver for the next couple of weeks, so I'll eagerly read the results from others for now. But I have three other devices using unofficial LineageOS builds, and I'm very happy with them.
Thank-you, everyone!

I'm not sure just what worked, because I tried so many things. I even tried flashing the evita-x twrp, but it didn't work, so I reflashed the twrp in the op. At one point, I thought I was really screwed, because the data partition showed a size of 0. Then I re-did the format data (step 6), and was able to install the ROM and get thru the setup.
You might try reflashing the twrp, and repeat step 6.
Also, I installed the ROM by itself, booted and setup.
Then flashed gapps and rebooted.
Then flashed SuperSU.

Great development on the One XL. Thanks guys for the great work. I managed to install the rom. It however seem unstable and apps taking long to open. Also the red box on the edge of the screen. Will try wipe and reflash and see if there will be an improvement
WOW! Nougat on a Five Year-Old Phone!
Thank you so much. You guys are amazing. I can't believe I'm running Android 7.1 on a five year-old phone. Everything works and is running pretty smooth (except for occasional red border flash).
As things turned out, my good old HTC One X has become my primary phone for the time being. And here I am running Nougat. I guess it says a lot about this phone's build quality that it has lasted so long. My deep appreciation to all the XDA developers and their amazing ROMs, apps and troubleshooting tips that have kept this phone, amazingly, at the forefront of Android development all these years.
Well, I couldn't wait. And the summary: I am thrilled
Here are some notes and observations, while installing lineage-14.1-20170226-UNOFFICIAL-evita.zip:
from within TWRP-3.0.N2-1, device always performs a full system-reboot when selecting "Reboot to Recovery". You have to reboot to fastboot (press-and-hold Vol-Down and Power), then enter recovery from the fastboot menu. Later, from within Lineage OS, you *CAN* reboot to Recovery.
cannot flash this ROM and nanoGapps queued together: insufficient memory. Flash this ROM first, then use TWRP file-manager to delete the ROM .zip. Now, there will be sufficient space to flash nanoGapps.
there are plenty of red-border-flashes during setup, and during regular operation It seems like just about every user-input-event, and maybe even every install-decision-point will produce this. It's actually slower than a "flash" - more like a red-border-blink I doesn't hurt anything, and I suspect this will be ironed-out later.
this ROM doesn't include 'su' (SuperUser). For this installation, I opted to use Lineage's 'addonsu-arm-signed.zip'
My roaming SIM won't work where I am now, but I have input my voip details into the provided dialer, and voip/SIP calls work as they should. I added Yahoo as a CM_WeatherProvider, and now cLock looks and works as expected.
a huge THANKS guys, for bringing this ROM to this point - @h8rift, @mdmower, @jrior001 !
Wow, guys this is great!
Thanks for the hard work.
What can we expect from this? Will it be patched to fix bugs or is this a "one build"?
Also, question for the devs: can one realistically hope to use Nougat on evita as a daily driver or is this device simply too old? I'm on CM12.1 and it's not that smooth. Would switching to Nougat better or worsen the experience?
For current testers: what features are currently working (camera, GPS, etc.)?
Again, hat's off!
Device Encryption busted
Device Encryption does not work.
(to be honest, this seems hit-or-miss with other LineageOS 14.1 ROMs; maybe even more "miss" than "hit" :-O . My Nexus 5 will encypt fine; my Nexus 7 (2012) won't).
Camera Works
I've attached an image OF YOUR QUESTION @Luxoboy to show that the camera works. The (exif??) data that I can see in the LineageOS Gallery app shows reasonable information too.
It doesn't seem to crash, nor have weird colors, for still-photos.
HTH,
WiFi stumbles a bit
OK... During setup, the first inkling of a rough-spot for WiFi showed up (for me): finding and displaying WiFi SSIDs took *forever*... Maybe I even skipped past that, and went back to set up WiFi access after the setup was finished and Lineage OS was fully running.
In actual hand's-on usage, I've found that the WiFi connection is both a bit weaker (fewer bars, doesn't reach as far) and lower-throughput than other devices. Both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands work; max throughput on 5GHz was 135Mb/s for me, right next to my 802.11n router (running DD-WRT). It's OK though.
Also during use, I sometimes noticed the WiFi icon, and the Settings -> WiFi progress indicating a drop + renew of the WiFi. Right now, my evita is at home while I'm at work - the phone is charging/sleeping but my Voice-Over-IP SIP provider site shows that the evita isn't registered... I suspect that WiFi isn't working, when it was during breakfast when I was playing with it...
The WiFi is certainly usable, but it does stumble a bit here-and-there, it appears.
Does anyone else experience the same, or something different with WiFi?
Nice! thanks guys! The red flashing border and a little lag is
the only thing I see so far... This is awesome!

You need to root device(install addonsu-arm-signed.zip from attachment) and then add 2 lines to the end of file /system/build.prop with any root file explorer and reboot it.
persist.sys.strictmode.visual=0
persist.sys.strictmode.disable=1
worked like a charm! Thanks!
No More Red Flashing!

Thanks, this fixed the red border flashing, and also has made the phone seem to run more smoothly. I already flashed the latest (2017) version of SuperSU when I flashed the ROM. I notice your attachment has a different version of SuperSU. Is there a difference between the version in your attachment vs. the latest one on the chainfire website. Thanks for your advice.

(My Device's SKU - 65383)

Android Nougat ROMs List for the BLU Life One X 2016

This is a list of Nougat ROMs for this device and it's clones.
The list will be in the following format:
ROM : Version : Device : Tested/Untested
LineageOS : 14.1 : MMXC5 / E481 : Untested
Resurrection Remix : 5.8.4 : MMXC5 / E481 : Tested
crDROID : v3.5 : MMXC5 / E481 : Tested
AOSGPX : 7.1.2 : MMXC5 / E481 : Untested
There are also ROMs for the Elephone P8000, however the first time I tried one I got into a bootloop. It could just have been that I didn't wipe my caches, or it could have been a fault in the ROM; nonetheless I haven't tried any others from that device.
I couldn't find any for other devices, let me know if you see others.
Here is the factory firmware, as according to this post (Direct Download).
Also, the stock recovery: Original Post | Direct Download.
Im currently running crDroid and I couldn't be happier. Runs far better than the original firmware and the useless marshmallow update.

Have you encountered any bugs with crDroid? Did screen on time and standby increase by any good margin because doze and other os optimizations? With stock I get 7hrs SOT with LTE half the day. 5hrs if Skype calls and such.

Only bug so far is the kill app button not working (long press the back button) and sometimes after reboot sim cards not being detected. Usually it corrects itself after a few minutes. If not, I'll just re-flash the fix
Battery gets drained pretty fast compared to lollipop, but then again I used lollipop with xposed, greenify and amplify.

Happy to hear only minor bugs. I'm waiting on black Friday SD card to ship and then I'll be able to test too.
On lollipop all I needed to use was power nap to kill unwanted wake locks. I'll definitely try to get it to work because batter life is important to me. Only reason I'm upgrading is because of older exploits that stock didn't get updates for. Other than that stock with xposed is extremely stable for me.(30-60 days between reboots)
Do you know if crDroid is using stock lollipop kernel or is it a ported kernel? That would effect battery life greatly I suppose.
review of roms
Review time. Installed and tested these roms by wiping dalvik cache, system, data, cache and internal storage. Flashed ROM then gapps then "front camera flash" patch lastly flashed sim patch. Afterwards I wiped cache and dalvik cache again before rebooting. Once I had access to settings I disabled display live/night mode/blue filter for all ROMs.
All the roms tested used about 1GB of ram (and stock ROM being around <600MB.).
Resurrection Remix : 5.8.4 : Looks to me a part of this rom was made by another group of people that were not given credit.. Default browser loads the homepage of the other group. The system FM radio app was asking for root permission(denied it). Also it had email services running before I added any accounts can't remember this being the norm. Other than that this ROM ran the best in terms of speed and ui. Uninstalled because of security concerns.
LineageOS : 14.1 : This ROM has about the same speed as resurrection which is good but the ui stuttered/not smooth. Uninstalled because ported by same user as resurrection.
crDROID : v3.5 : This one ran the worse. It was slow and stuttered throughout the ui. Missed some customizations that Resurrection had so not sure why any one would want to use this instead.
AOSGPX : Didn't bother installing because last I heard they copied and pasted code from crDRoid.
At the end of the day I reverted back to stock because of security concerns. As well as having more ram available for apps. If I had more than one phone phone I would wireshark/test connections of the ROMs to confirm but I do not have. Hopfully this helps someone.

Just wondering with the ROM testing, did you disable the LiveDisplay nonsense? It drops my FPS to about 10, and is enabled by default.
Sorry, didn't read your whole post. I didn't find UI stuttering unless I enabled weird kernel stuff, or had L Speed installed.
Does anyone happen to know if any of these ROMs fix the problem that the official MM caused which was that all camera apps created a very dark image and took extremely dark photos?

Wow, thorough, thanks. Don't know what half those things are but I'll look them up. I guess there's no way to go straight back to Lollipop without flashing a stock ROM. I mean, by rooting it now maybe and then downgrading or something?

You could flash a lollipop twrp backup, if anyone uploaded one or if you made one before. But if you don't have it, only way is by sp flash tool and original firmware (which is not a recovery flashable zip).
Been using the Crdroid rom for a few weeks now. Havn't had any lag or extreme battery issues. Im interested in trying the resurrection remix rom since it was tested to be the fastest, tho them security issues are kinda holding me back. One thing im lookin for is front camera flash and back aswell. on Crdroid u cannot toggle it in the camera app, tho the flash works.

What are these security issues people are mentioning? Isn't a ROM a ROM? I don't get it.
Also, if crDroid works fine, you could just try any other camera app. There are several that are quite good. I wish there were videos of crDroid.

I mean with what's going on with Kaspersky being investigated for allowing certain trogens to work undetected and Kaspersky is own by Russians and since when does fm radio need root access.
Just a bit sketchy you know... But it could be just over-thinking it.

But the thing is you don't know what else has been tampered with.

Lineage 17.1 is available now

So this morning I went to check on lineage OS news oh, and I found out that they released today for all pixels. I am running it with no issues although I would recommend to download the micro gapps package cuz if you do the Nano or anything below it will give you issues with your phone reading SIM card. Aside from that I had successfully running the rom with magisk installed.
Which versions of gapps did you try? Only nano/micro? I was thinking of selecting pico. Also, can you update via their in house ROM updater app while rooted?

Will there still wait to check to see if the updater works but it looks like everything is fully functional within it and right now, take a look at the picture that I'm going to attach to this that is her updater and it looks like it is completely 100% functional but I cannot be sure because there is no updates to test it with.
As far as the gapps go, don't use anything smaller than micro. There is something pixel 4 needs in telephony to work that is in micro+ but not in nano or pico ... If you flash rom without gapps , your phone will work to make calls, if you flash any gapps before micro, you will get a " insert SIM, emergency calls only " message.
After you flash rom, MAKE SURE TO REBOOT AND THEN FLASH GAPPS,! otherwise if you try to do it in the same session that you flashed ramen you will get a message telling you that you have insufficient storage to flash and it will fail to flash gapps!
A few things that I wish and I hope they do fix would be the 90 hertz implementation switch as of now there is no switch for it and the screen flickers at low brightness.
Soli gestures would be great, I know DU has them working so it's a matter of time before lineage does as well.... Same goes with the squeeze for assistant,.... It is also not working ..
Not working :
Soli gestures
Squeeze
Smooth display
this is the first release so I did expect it to not be fully fully functional but I know that within time it will be one of the best roms out there

Currently on DU myself and I don't mind waiting until the project improves further. Would you mind letting us know in the thread how your first update goes while rooted? Currently on DU myself and I don't mind waiting until the project improves further. Would you mind letting us know in the thread how your first update goes while rooted? Thank you again for trying the legendary ROM and letting us know it was released!

Yeah, so after I installed it and set it up, I then adb sideloaded magisk canary on its stock kernel, it went thru like knife thru butter.
I then rebooted into android, finalized the magisk set up, rebooted and voila... I was rooted.... I then tried Kiri Kernel, since it has the necessary things for TWRP, flashed it within ex kernel and then tried to boot TWRP in bootloader only to get stuck on TWRP splash screen...
I was honestly trying to have lineage working with a working TWRP but unfortunately it did not work as such. So I gave up on the TWRP and I've been running the ROM with magic and modules installed with no hiccups The boot time is amazing battery life is really really good...
Viper worked first try... This has has to be one of three good roms out there with little to no issues.

Smooth display is auto switching between 60hz and 90hz that's why I asked if just 90hz was working

90hz works, 70% plus brightness on coral gives 90hz, below is 60hz. flame has some different tunings percentage wise, but same concept.
RefreshRate will work as soon as we have an official R image I can steal a single APK from.
We won't be implementing Squeeze or Soli most likely - it's RE, and given scrutiy over large projects and reverse engineered code, we likely won't see it unless it's reimplemented OSS (DU reverse-engineered it, but didn't clean room re-implement).

It works.
ok well i went back to stock aug firmware and then flashed the img file, then sideloaded the rom, rebooted right into recovery and flashed gapps ... stuck on the lineage boot animation .. do i need to let it boot up then reboot into recovery and flash gapps?
tried again, flashed the image then rebooted to start menu, rebooted to recovery and flash mini gapps and rebooted ... still stuck on the boot logo
what am i missing?
somehow i got it to boot and had a trebucket error, installed a different launcher - FIXED.
can not finish setup, keep getting data transfer crash
anyone get TWRP to load? im using fsociety kernel and it worked on another ROM

You're going to have to skip that by disabling the app when it force closes . It should let you proceed from there on. TWRP won't work and idk why... Trebuchet launcher will FC as well but since Google home launcher is installed via gapps it should be a fail safe. As far as kernel, I am running kirisakura and it has the necessary things to work with TWRP but I won't. Trust me I tried.... Make sure to root with magisk canary .
To fix cts mismatch in magisk download termux
SU
props
And select option 2 forced basic key attestation
Select y for yes and proceed... Reboot and you should pass safety net checks...
Hit thanks if I helped .. one love

thank you sir for the reply. However i could not get it to be stable. The initial setup failed no matter what i tried. The error of data tansfer tool would fail. I want to run this as it seemed very smooth, however i think i need to wait for another update or something. i followed the OP to the t and nothing seemed to work properly for me.
I use this daily, and am entirely unsure what you're doing here.
Are you using the wiki guide? If not, follow that to the tee, use nano opengapps preferably, and everything works like a charm.

I'll try again thanks for the info
Seems the wiki says you can sideload gapps right after sideloading the OS, the OP said doing that causes issues lol. But he'll I'll try it anyway

Got this running great, with gapps. Was wondering if you're getting the issue I am with google assistant. It seems to freeze up and not be usable.
followed the wiki directions and used full gapps not nano ( missed that 1 bit of info ) im STILL getting data tansfer tool keps stopping when trying to finish the setup going to try a reboot and see what happens. it shows just a sec then saying looing for updates then installing updates and crashes ... then back t connect to wifi . does this have to do with the gapps?
SO ODD ... reflashed and used nano. asked to connecto to mobile data, nothing as showing up, hit skip, tried wifi and nada .... hit skip then same damn error for setup .... insane. maybe ill just cancel the setup and do everything manually
retied all steps and got the no space error when doing gapps, switched to slot b and tried again and it worked ... waiting to see the data tansfer error ... i dont think my phone wants to play nice lately, or ever.
went back to stock firmware, loaded the 9/6 lineageos and have NO mobile data with nano gapps loaded. doing the update currently and will update shortly what happens
i can officially state i am up and running with so far NO issues, i have mobile data, wifi sent texts and made a call. now going to root and swiftbackup restore all my apps and blah blah
Anyone tried the new 13th nightly? Hopefully they fixed the screen flicker.

You do remember I said micro right? I specifically explained that by using nano you would have no cell phone connectivity and upon transfer tool just put no transfer
