I am looking for people to help with the testing and creative development of a game I am working on.
I am REMAKING a game I had on the market last fall. Its still called ScanDroid, at least for now.
The theme of the game has changed, and there are a lot more features being worked on this time around.
I am making it from scratch this time, which is making for a faster process and cleaner code.
Here's the game in a nutshell:
RPG Fantasy Theme
Scan Barcodes to collect items, bonuses, and exp, and to battle NPCs
Battle NPC Barcodes
Battle Online(soon to be implemented)
Share QR code of character for others to battle locally(soon to be implemented)
Gain items, level up, and use an item shop
Anything other the creative testers can help me get an idea to add in.
It is a text based pocket scanner Pokemon style online barcode scanning game.
Everyone who i had try the last version of it loved it, but due to my limited ability at that time and the holidays the game eventually lost steam and fell apart. I have received a lot of feedback and am much more capable now of delivering a fuller more entertaining experience.
I need people who are COMMITTED to:
Test out each release, on a daily to bi-daily basis
Give good feedback that can be used to fix and improve the game
have ideas to help make it better
willing to use google plus messenger to join our beta huddle, and actively participate.

I had about 40 ppl who wanted to beta test last time around,and all but 6 fell through on activiely participating.

Also, a feature that uses GPS as "Zombies, RUN!" would be great (say, you go out from your home and scan codes in the supermarket for example, or battle random monsters after X meters from your "den", or collect items after walking X meters, and such).
The thing is, you should focus on the things that make "Zombies, Run!" awesome and try to replicate them.

A Location Based Aspect could be interesting. We will definitely have to try and toy with it, see in what ways it can benefit the game.

I am looking for a favour from a kind Samsung user.
World maths day is on 8th March. An android app had been made but for some reason is only on SamsungApps.
I would love to play it on my phone or tablet.

Download Nova launcher
Select widgets menu from home screen
Select activities
Select gear VR setupwizardstub
Tap the new widget
Create oculus account
Download the list of VR apps
Download your free 6 game bundle
Wait impatiently for your VR to come in the mail
*make sure Facebook and all vr services are enabled before you start.

I have different games
strange I guess they have more than one bundle and it's a crap shoot as to which ones you get
Well I can't find any free games. Is this an only us promo with the games? I got the free gear vr but can't download the apps (maybe I had Facebook disabled when I first connected to the vr store over an week ago. Any way to get them now?)
T-Mobile S7 Edge games for me. Not sure the budle is just different for each provider. I already paid for gunjack so that sucks.

They should be at the bottom, and you need to be logged into the S7. I tried downloading my games on my friends Note 5 and they didn't appear.
Also if anyone's curious (and for Google when it crawls this page), the Samsung Gear VR headset promotion is shipping through FedEx

We are in the same boat. I tried everything to get those 6 free games but not available. I am in Turkey. I have opened a support ticket with oculus and we came to a point where i had to post a proof of purchase of my device to get the games. Because everything i was asked to try didn't help me getting the free 6 bundle games. I will let you know about the result.
Hehe ok this i also see the first time. Never got any free games but the preorder bundle with vr. Btw i have purchased most of them in the meantime :/ so i could have saved a lot of money. Looking at the gameplay of most games available atm it is horrible... this 'look to go' thing really bores me... but even with the gamecontroller i also bought from samsung, there are only a few good games right now...

I received the vr yesterday. created an account on occulus, but no free bundle availaible at all. I guess it only for US. It not working for canada.
I've tried last night!
It's working
But the download is a bit slow. I think Oculus/Samsung's server is a bit overloaded right now..

I think I'll actually only play maybe two of the free games I got. I already had a VR and bought GunJack. Great game but seems to lag a little bit compared to when I played it with the Note 5. Would be nice if you could get another game if you already have one of the free games.

FYI Update on the issue. Today, i got a popup in notification bar mentioning free gear vr 6 games. It takes you to a page with an url to galaxy premium apps link. Downloaded the gifts app and got my 6 free games in the end. Time to unpack the Gear Vr from its box.

i would be in for a code on knight blade when it comes out. new to the gear stuff and this looks awesome and you got some great stuff. im $20 bucks in on faces and its been 3 days haha although i dont think i can add a redemption code on on Nexus device which isnt samsung or at least i haven't figured out how

Hey there! You're correct, we can only issue codes for Galaxy phones at this time. I'm putting in a ticket to see when this will change... Currently running around with an LG V20 and S7 Edge. The V20 Galaxy Apps plugin really needs updating to the new format. I'm sure they will change/fix this soon.
Update on Knight Blade: it is now in Test Confirmation at Samsung, so I'm hoping it hits by tonight or tomorrow morning!

Oops, replied from a different account I decided to never use. Hit this account up with a message and I can generate a code for you. Must have a Galaxy Phone (for now) and let me know what watch face and country your are in if not in profile.

Bought the 24 hour version of knight blade and left a review. Absolutely awesome. I asked in the review but its hard with limited review space. Would you consider an update or a version with the ability to tap in a zone and do color changes like red, orange ect. That would be icing on the cake lol.

Awesome. Glad you took the time to respond. I usually personally use the last 2 gray backgrounds before the black. I like those simply because its easier for me to see the time quicker otherwise there is too much going on. Certainly not a bad thing but just my style.

I certainly wouldnt want to have someone steal his work but this one would have been amazing on the gear s3 frontier. its dark, simple and has an awesome look for the new watches with the hour numbers and bezel free type design if you want an rough idea with your design language and style.

Mike does awesome work and I'm a big fan! We are actually working on one with a similar feel to that example, but with our own twist of course. It can get difficult to cram all the goodies into one face sometimes without getting too busy. Some of our faces bask in busyness, but we will have some more that are scaled back a bit very soon. Yes, less can be so much more.

Hey there! Here is a quick rundown on instructions: First, install Gear Watch Designer on computer and open the GWD. Then turn bluetooth off on the watch and go to settings, gear info, and turn on debugging mode. Connect watch to same wifi network as computer. Now click the icon on the top right in the Gear Watch Designer that looks like a watch. Your Gear should show up on that list. Might have to click scan. After it shows up, create a distributer certificate from the "Project" menu. You will have to sign in with your Samsung account to create it for the watch. Then create an author certificate. After that is done, click Project and Build (make sure to type in your password for author certificate). It will generate a TPK file. After done building, click that small watch icon where it shows your connected watch, click on your gear in the list. It will ask if you want to build the "tpk" again, but if you just built it, click no. It will then push the tpk to the watch.
If you have any issues connecting your watch, you might need to restart it and the Gear Watch Designer. We make faces using both the Gear Watch Designer and the Tizen SDK depending on the face. Gear Watch Designer is great for realizing a design fairly quickly.

I have published a watchface for Gear S2/S3 which has 18+ content. It has been approved by Samsung approval team for ages 18 and over. But Samsung is trying to hide it for some reason I don't know.
If you are interested, please search with name "50 Shades Amsterdam"
I believe this is the ONLY watchface officially published by Samsung which has this kind of content and I believe they won't let me update it in case I have to fix something.
I'm sorry that I can't provide any screenshots here because of the content.
