Ellipsis 7 No Android Os - General Questions and Answers

hello everyone,
I am trying to fix an ellipsis 7. My cousin had it requesting a system update but he kept on postponing it. when he did decide to update it there was a glitch I assume and android was somehow wiped from the tablet. I have managed to get into factory mode but there is no way to do a factory reset. In factory mode all I see is reboot, auto test, manual test, item test, tet report, debug test, clear emmc, safe mode, and version. I have tried both clear emmc and safe mode, but nothing happens there. I have checked version and like I said it shows no android version on it which I assume means no android on the device. Is there some way of making a bootable sd card to get the software back on it?

restore softbrick

Hi
I think my problem is in worst situation ever.
First, I was on CM11.
Then I heard VZW GS3 finally got 4.3 update, so I just went back to 4.1.2 official firmware.
Then my problem started.
I got that update, and then boot was successful.
However, all of my game data and pictures were gone.
So I tried to fix that because I thought that game data and pictures were still remain at some where.
Why?
cause the memory usage showed to me it was 4GB left.
it was same amount as when I was in 4.1.2 with all the data and pictures.
so, I tried to go back to 4.1.2, but I couldn't.
And I was using CWM latest version for GS3, but OTA disable it.
So every time that I trying to go to recovery mod, it shows "System software not authorized blahblahblah..."
Anyway, then I try to boot that system nomarly.
I thought it will going to boot, but it shows Samsung Galaxy S3 logo, then booted again.
then shows "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless blahblahblah..."
Then I try to flesh CWM 6.0.1.2 recover by odin 3.07, but it keep shows Failed.
I look up to phone error message was
Secure check failed : recovery.
It didn't installed.
So, I fleshed into stock recovery, and it installed perfectly.
So I did factory reset, and wipe caches, but still same.
It is not booting.
keep showing
System software not authorized.........
is any solution that I can do with now?
(sorry for my bad English.)

[Q] RCA Tablet Need Help with Recovery

Hi,
This is my first post on this website. I have owned a RCA Tablet (RCT6378W2 purchased on Black Friday from Walmart) for about 9 months now. Last night, while using it, it sort of stopped for about a minute. Then the screen had some lines on it, and the unit restarted itself. However, after this, it could not get past the RCA Boot Screen with the dogs on it. I tried leaving on this screen overnight with no success. Because the unit turns on and hangs on the boot screen, I figured it was likely a software or operating system corruption issue. Since then, I have figured out how to enter the recovery system v4.2.01 (holding volume + and Power). I have tried:
1. Wipe Cache Partition --- did not resolve problem
2. Wipe Data/factory reset --- seems to have been successful, but still not boot.
3. Apply update from cache -- there are no choices available to choose from.
It seems that unless I can find a way to make a self-booting SD card (is that possible?), then I am stuck with only 3 options (apply update from ADB, Update RKimage from external storage, and apply update from external storage). I have read many threads and websites, but have had no success. It seems that these are some of my obstacles:
1. I cannot seem to find a stock RCA rom image for this device. It appears that RCA has not made these available as other manufacturers have done. If you are able to find this, please send me a link!
2. I have tried to make a self-booting SD card using Phoenix Card, but can't find an .img that works with it. I have also tried using a generic sd card image and custom rom to install, but have failed at that. I have never rooted a device before or installed a custom rom.
3. I have tried looking for custom roms, but can't find one that is compatable with this tablet (seems they are mostly for the big name tablets). I have tried downloading Cyanogenmod for Nook Color (I heard this would work), but the recovery system does not seem to allow for any other firmwares to be installed (unless I am doing something wrong)
4. This tablet is not rooted, nor has the developer tool options been enabled (which I cannot do now that it doesn't boot)
Do you have any ideas? As stated, I am new to all of this, so please answer in detail if you can. Please help!

[Q] HP Slate Pro 21 Issues

I purchased an HP Slate Pro 21 off of ebay that was freezing on boot, and it definitely is. My thought was if I could unlock it and load a different ROM, etc. that the problem may go away. Here is what I have done/figured out so far.
First power on, the device freezes at the first HP logo.
wiping the data (factory reset) allowed me to get into the O/S after several reboots
I was able to enable developer mode and USB debugging, at which point the device forces a reboot.
From this point, no matter what I do I cannot get the device to boot up all the way without freezing.
I can however, reload the factory image from HP's site (tried via SD card, and ADB just in case) and eventually through a multitude of reboots and freezes in different places (i.e. Boot Logo, Animated Boot Logo, Optimizing Apps) it will boot into the setup menus.
Problem is, at this point USB debugging has been factory reset to disabled. If I enable it, I'm back at square one and can't get the device to fully boot up.
There is a menu option to deploy image via ADB, and I can connect to it from my PC but it's (I believe, since I'm a noob) that it's a restricted mode for sideloading only.. Since I can see the device in the device list but it says (sideload) next it and the only adb command that I can run is to transfer an image. Problem is, I only have the HP image.
Are there any other steps to determine if this is a hardware problem? Further things I can do to try and get the device to boot? Other images I can try from ADB or SD Restore that will pass the signature check? (Since I can't load TWRP yet, because it's still locked).
Thanks for any help you can offer!

[Q] Decryption Unsuccessful Error - Cannot boot

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 GT-P5110 which I had successfully installed CM12 onto. I decided to set up work email which insisted that I encrypt the device. I believe that the process completed successfully.
At that point I decided that I would like to flash the device with CM12.1. Restarted the process (Factory reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe dalvik cache) and flash the new CM12.1 zip file from external SD card.
I cannot now get to the recovery mode and the device doesn't always boot into anything recogniseable. The screen goes black and blacker! I have manaed to get to the CM logo and then a screen asking me for the PIN for the encryption. The next screen tells me that the PIN is right but the data is corrupt. It gives me the option to "RESET TABLET" but that really doesn't do anything and won't let me in to the recovery menu.
I can get into the Download mode and connect Heimdall up to it.
Is there anything that anyone can point me at that will help me to unbrick it?
I hope I've passed on enough information to help. It seems to me I need to somehow re-format the internal SD but I can't get to any menu that will allow me to do that.
Any thoughts anyone?
Ta
Fixed It
I seem to have fixed it. I flashed the CWM Recovery rather than the recovery that I had been trying to use and I got control of the device back. Not sure why that made a difference but this time the Android Robot came on screen with the 3D polygon rotating inside it and it seems to be running correctly now and updated to Android 5.1 ... Magic!

samsung galaxy tab 2 infinite reboot loop

Hi, i have samsung galaxy tab 2 (P5100) with no root. It started to restart 5-10 seconds after android starts... (i dont have time to go the settings or to do something before restart).
I tried to clear cache and factory reset from recovery but it doesnt work. (in recovery it shows done but when i reboot system, no changes are made)...
I also tried to flash new stock room with odin but it failed every time ( i use different versions of odin, different rooms and different pits). it fails after NAND write or system.img.
Im also not able to flash new recovery... in odin it pass but when i start recovery mode there is no change...
Does someone have similar problem? Im afraid that it could be problem with motherboard or memory.
In recoveory i see this error:
# MANUAL MODE #
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Aplied the CSC-code : ORS
failed to compare '/system/csc/common/system/app/MH_10_TCS_Tablet.apk' '/system/app/MH_10_TCS_Tablet.apk' (no data available)
Thank for any help.
Your tablet may have the emmc bug, sorry but only a mother board replacement or emmc firmware update will fix it
Same problem, not yet solved.
I also have a samsung tab 2. We bought it around 2013 and started to have problems around 2015. My device started to reboot out of nowhere, infinitely, randomly. I tried to look for patterns. Couldn't find any. But i noticed something, it's stuck on it's current state. When i do things like install an app or take/delete pictures, when it restarts, everything i did would be gone and it's back to it's "current state". App that i installed? Not there. Pictures i've taken? Gone. Pictures i've deleted? It's there again. Even a hard reset won't do anything. When i do a hard reset and it reboots again, guess what, back into it's "current state" again. I've read about it on some forums, i think it's hardware related. Emmc. A notoriously bugged chip, where when you clear your cache or flash it with a new os or something like that. Boom! Brickbug. I tried sending it to the samsung dealership where i bought it. They checked it. They said the motherboard needed to be replaced, which was very expensive. I'd rather buy a new one. Now it's 2018, i'm hoping they've found an alternative to fix this tablet.
