How to pair without passkey?

Does anyone know how to pair a device with no passkey on WM5?
I need to pair my Panda device with a bluetooth printer adapter.
Is there a registry entry to modify to bypass this step?

That would kind of defeat the point of the passkey system, would it not?

But still ... I cannot understand why there is no unsecured BT connection.
If you want security ... ok ... if you don't ... well ... knock yourself out!
I want to connect my devices without bothering for keys pairing etc (of course my BT is NOT always on).

I'm agree,
the printer adapter not require to establish a relationship, need to set only a specific com port outgoing for bluetooth, but my device (Panda) cannot allow me to do this without passkey!
Instead I can do this with any HP pda (that are more and more easy to configure!).
How can do this with my device?

try settings /system/ connections/ bluetooth/ security/ and untick (beam authentication) setting - might be slightly different on wm5

Doesn't work, because the option was already unchecked.
Any other suggestion?

[Q] Wired Remote/Control Panel?

I've got a question I have not been able to find a definitive answer to.
Everyday other day on a blog I read I am seeing someone has created a robot controlled via an application running on a iPhone/Android, using either Bluetooth or Wifi.
But my question is, can an android device function as a wired remote via the usb port?
Is there any IO class for the USB port that can be used to turn on various things and read back various sensor information given the propper platform?
Am I seeking USB Host mode or is that something else?
My goal is to have an android device running an application monitoring various sensors and controlling various other hardware devices with a nice touch screen interface if possible. Since the phone would be located with the control hardware using Bluetooth for this seems silly if I am able to use USB and a cable from the Android Device to the Control Hardware, essentially making the android device the brains.

Hacking JVC KW-NT30

Hi all,
I am trying to hack the jvc kw-nt30 becose a few functions on the device disturb me a lot.
So is it that the jvc kw-nt30 has a function that you can not while driving change your navigation settings,
This means if you drive 5KM/hour you can not change the drive settings,
I know the device can connect with Bluetooth and obex but it can only one way and that is from the phone to the device and not from the device to the phone or something else, so i can not browse the files in the device.
So can you guys help me with hacking this windows embedded device ?

P.s. i was thinking of creating a mp3 that execute registry code that enables browsing with obex ?

If its anything like my Kenwood bt900 there is a grounds wire connected at the back (not the black one, I think it was solid green) and when the vehicle isn't moving it is open, and closes when you drive, so just cutting it is enough to get full functionality at all speeds

On many in dash/GPS/DVD players there is a pink wire that is supposed to go to the ebrake you can hook it up to a momentary push button switch, off the two legs(wires) of the switch connect one to ground and other to the pink wire. Push the switch once hold it in, let off and push it again. When I was an installer if the radio didn't have a code we used that method. It worked fine.

Hello one & all,
I hope someone out their can help me, I am using a Nexus 7 the 2012 version and am having fun trying to get my bluetooth mouse working with it again. I inanvertantly changed the setting in the paired device section so that a bluetooth mouse is not seen as an input device and my the mouse is listed within the available devices section but I can not pair the device. I know that the bluetooth mouse still works as I have tried it on other hardware.
My Nexus 7 is not yet rooted and I am not sure it rooting it would reset the correct bit of the system to once again alow me to your the bluetooth mouse.

Hi! I just bought garmin vivosmart. Paired it with their software Connect. Now when I go to BT settings of the phone it did not appear as possible devices. Even in SmartLock, SmartConnect. The device sync normally with Garmin Connect software. Can I see somehow in BT settings the device. Thanks
