[Q] - General Questions and Answers

Hello one & all,
I hope someone out their can help me, I am using a Nexus 7 the 2012 version and am having fun trying to get my bluetooth mouse working with it again. I inanvertantly changed the setting in the paired device section so that a bluetooth mouse is not seen as an input device and my the mouse is listed within the available devices section but I can not pair the device. I know that the bluetooth mouse still works as I have tried it on other hardware.
My Nexus 7 is not yet rooted and I am not sure it rooting it would reset the correct bit of the system to once again alow me to your the bluetooth mouse.
Thank you for any help you can give.

[Q] Atrix Keyboard with Charge

Thinking the Droid Charge supports the HID bluetooth profile, I purchased the Atrix keyboard; however, I cannot seem to pair it. I put the keyboard in pairing mode and then scan for Bluetooth devices. On the Charge I select the "Motorola Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard" from the menu and am given a message "Enter xxxxxx to pair with ...". This message disappears in less than a second and I'm given the error message "Unable to establish communication with ...". I never have the chance to enter the code on the keyboard ...
Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
I believe I read somewhere that this was supposed to support the HID profile out of the box I'm not 100% sure though. You could try one of the HID drivers from the marketplace I think one is called blueinput or something similar. Post back if you get it working cause I would really like to have a wireless mini keyboard for this phone as well.

i'm not sure if this is helpful, but I paired a bluetooth mouse with my Charge, using no special drivers. I would like to know if a bluetooth keyboard would work with it though.

If you can get a mouse to work without having any special drivers/apps to support it then it at least means that the phone does support HID protocols which would mean that generic bluetooth keyboards should work. If the keyboard requires some sort of special driver that is installed after pairing it most likely won't work, though.

I should clarify and update this - the device I have is a bluetooth presentation remote/mouse. It can switch between mouse mode and presenter mode. It works for a few minutes, but then loses connection. It works fine with a computer, so I don't think there's a problem with the remote.
You can connect the Charge to BT keyboard and don't have to root..
Thanks to another member TylerMF you CAN probably pair the Atrix (also for Xoom) keyboard.

He connected his BT keyboard to an Evo successfully.
I have a Samsung CHARGE and I had the same struggle, but followed his instructions and am now connected to both the Atrix/Xoom keyboard and a Logitech bluetooth mouse.
Very nice!

[Q] Anyone Having Issue with Apple Magic Mouse on the m8?

Has anyone else been able to successfully pair an Apple Magic Mouse with the m8 using the stock ROM? I can pair my Apple Wireless Keyboard (A1314) and use it just fine, but the Magic Mouse (A1296) doesn't even show up when I'm searching for Bluetooth devices.
I have tried another mouse (namely, a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 which belongs to a friend) and it works perfectly fine. The Magic Mouse works flawlessly with the VZW/GPE ROM that is in the works elsewhere on this forum, but sadly I cannot continue using the ROM since it's not complete enough for me yet.
Any tips on how to get this thing to [at least] show up?

[Q] Dinovo mini with MK808B plus *SOLVED*

Hi guys,
maybe im just being stupid, but i cant seem to get the dinovo mini to work well with my MK808B plus running cyanogen mod 12 (couldnt get it to work with the original os either for that matter). I was hoping to be able to get a cursor if i put it on "mouse mode" but i cannot. It works fine in "keyboard mode" but its quite a hassle to try to get around with that.
I am using it with the dongle in the usb extension. I wanted to try to pair it directly by Bluetooth but since its the only mode of controller im using i cant really disconnect the donge and connect the BT.
so please help me guys, am i barking up the wrong tree entirely or is there hope?
Solved
It seems like i needed a good nights sleep to solve this. I just realised when i woke up that i could use a regular usb mouse to control the android stick to pair with the dinovo. After the pairing everthing worked perfectly

Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Since we do not have a specific forum for that device, your best bet is to post your question in the General Questions and Answers Forum.
Hope this helps.

Lenovo Tab 2 Xbox 360 Wireless controller over OTG Cable

i want to use the controller for apps like fpse and stuff.
already tried USB BT Joycenter but that wasnt working, the controller was connecting and showing as First player but there was no input and i cant get any updated version of the app cause i cant find it on the appstore.
the other thing i tried was editing the controller layout files, but they werent even on the tablet.
is there anything else i can do to get this to work?
I tried to connect my xbox 360 wireless controller via dongle aswell. it kinda connects but i am not really sure. the moment i let the dongle and the controller search for each other they seem to find each other straight away, but the led ring just keeps blinking and wont find a channel so to speak.
i followed sleeplessninjas guide and copied over the vendor_45e_product_0291/0719.kl and kcm but it didnt change the controller problem.
the controller is not recognized by any app i tried nor does the system itself show any response to the controller input.
i can connect a mouse or a usb flashdrive without a problem plug n play out of the box. but the controller wont get recognized.
i read on a shop review that the problem would be that the lenovo tab2 a10 doesnt have driver for the controller shipped with it.
my question would be: would cooking up my own android rom help and would i even be able to make it work on the device, i keep reading about lenovo devices being *****y about bootloader and such.
and then again cooking up ones own android is kinda of a longshot for an android beginner like me. need to read more. propably doable but are there even drivers available for the device fitting the system?
would appreciate someone shedding a bit of light in all the confusion cheers
