I cannot get past that error. I have tried 3 different computers and various different versions of the burning tool as well as unchecking the boxes suggested above. So frustrating.

I had the same issues as described above, and I simly just changed the cable lenght from 1.5m to 30cm and the box started flashing itself from the burning tool!

I got a shorter cable but it still does it for me

So guys after going crazy did this - Tried the Nand Method on a95x. Sequence - Upload your image to USB burning tool (don't hit start) - connect USB A to A cable (didn't connect) - Flash Pins 5-6 or 6-7 - Now USB tools see's the box but don't hit start yet - because usb power is not enough to burn it - Now insert the toothpic to hit the reset button - Now connect power while toothpic is inserted - Viola - the box starts burning - This is a sure to work method - everytime.

Dear, i tried this method as well...but no luck. please advice..., if possible please share the link for usb burning tool and the firmware for MXQ PRO+ model. Will try fresh. Would highly appreciate ur help...

Had the same problem with mecool km9.
Tried all with no luck, then i tried to disconnect the box, close then restart usb burning tool, load the img file, unchecked erase flash and erase bootloader, hold the reset button with toothpic, then connect the box, hit refresh, and after that, start the flashing process.
So, if you tried to uncheck erase... like i did, you should try to disconnect the box, as it doesn't seem to register the unchecking without that.
:good:
You can see how many failed i had before disconnecting/reconnecting the box !

BRICKED - unstable usb connection - OMAP443

i am loosing it....
i tried every thread about bricked phone - and nothing solved my problem.
it all started when i tried to use th LG FLASH TOOL to upgrade firmware and by mistake i checked "Erase Entire AP" and since than my phone wont turn on.
when i connect the usb cable - i get a notification of OMAP443 but it goes on and off rapidly like it is connecting and disconnecting at the same time - not stable.
i download all drivers, even tried to manual fix the driver with the inf file, but nothing - still unstable.
i also bought a special usb cable that has 56K-130K-910K - i tried all modes but did not get the download mode screen as shown in one of the guides here.
i need to stable the connection between the phone and the pc so i can flash the firmware.
any suggestions ?
please help - anyone :crying:
You have probably used Smartflash, not Lg flashtool.
I can make your phone to stay connected to pc but you won't be able to flash anything
Your phone's cpu is in debug mode now.
Signed bootloaders are needed to recover it with Linux, or a script for omapflash for recovering with windows..

Emish X700 Android TV box KK 4.4.04

Hi I bought on ebay android tv box called Emish X700. Once i went for holiday and disconnected TV box from power outlet. After 2 weeks i came back home and when i turned it on TV box get stucked with picture of dead android without any option. I tried to do reset with toothpick for 10 sec in hole but with no change. when i googled a bit i found tools and firmware which helped me to restore this TV box to factory state and to be able to use it again. That's why i'd like to share it with users with same or similar problem.
Firmware + Flash tools + Drivers
Steps.
1. download attached files
2. unpack it
3. follow instructions from document in "X700 upgrade" folder
4. in case your PC can't detect your device use "Android Tool" flasher with firmware from "X700 upgrade" folder
5. after successful flashing device will reboot and will be booting for about 15 mins, so be patient
Where can I find Android Tool?
I did the step but in the program for firmware update the label does not become Green, so can't detect the device
Android tool is possible to download from link in 1st post. to get green status in program you have to plug usb cable connected already to your computer to your box with pressed resset button for abbout 5 secs.
I did for 10 seconds but nothing happens
Edit: it work, thank you very much for the guide!!
need you help

You have to use the tool for flash, not the program where the label should become green.

Read my previous post!!
I get the error IDB failed in android tools, what can I do?
Thanks for this! I've been searching everywhere.
Device not recognized using the tools.
I have an Emish 700 android box. Works great WHEN it's working. What I mean is that now and again the red light simply won't click on to blue? I've tried switching it off and on and disconnecting it, reconnecting it... over and over again. After a day or so, all of a sudden, poof it comes on blue when connected. I'm ready to throw it out and buy something new. I tried the tools above, but my computer won't recognize the device? Does it need to be plugged in and turned on showing the blue light to work? Thanks!
Thanks for the software and drivers, my device now is alive again.
for those who don't work properly the reset button, I was in the same situation, searching on google reset for RK3128 devices, I find a solution, do a short circuit between 8-9 Pin on NAND chip with the USB connected.
Install the drivers attached at the link from djmaj0, flash the update image with Android Tools, and now working perfectly.
PD: i flashed with Win10 x64 and no problems, don't need W7 or W8
Thanks again djmaj0!
After flash
After the flash, is the Android still 4.4.1? or updated to 5.0 or higher?
I have emish x700. However unable to identify the toothpick hole as no click on/off apparent. Im assuming the hole on back between the usb ports. Can you confirm this or where it is. My device is frozen on the emish screen and will not proceed further. Thanks

Thanks Djamjo
On my device unable to feel any pin through that hole. Saw posts elsewhere that you can use the on/off switch and volume control. Do you / any one know about this, also hole underneath the box whick on left out of line to other holes??.
Have downloaded the files. Can you confirm unpacking is same as extracting or unzipping ?. And as havent got to instructions yet do I need to copy the files to a usb or do everything from the laptop.
What is a short circuit between 8/9 pins on nand chip as advised above, and roughly how one would one do it.?
Sorry this is all a learning curve, hence delay. Thanks
For flashing firmware is required the DC-IN 5V to be connected?
So I found out that we have to connect the box with USB3. But in the flash process I get the errore Download IDB Fail. Anyone had this?
I know it's an old post, I successfully upgraded my emish x700 who had power on issues, now I see two types of memory partitions, phone about 1GB and internal_sd about 6GB. Why? Before upgrade I remember I had only one memory (think so) and I didn't have full memory issues when installing new apps. Who can help me?

There are other ways to start your device from hard-brick state; I once hard-bricked my opo and used ColorOS (Can't remember exactly) with some chinese tool and it then showed fastboot mode from there you can pick it up.

Its now connecting but stuck in 8974_msimage_mbn loop it just trying to flash 8974_msimage_mbn and resets. Please Help.
Suggestion:
Connect with USB to Linux PC.
Big chance that yr PC sees memory card of OPO.
Copy Rom to the card.
Install with TWRP, if available, or with other similar.
That worked for my OPO brick.
Arvie
Color OS method worked for me. Just install the correct drivers and your good to go.

HARD-BRICKED AND NOTHING WORKING FOR ME

UPDATE: Turns out "Firehose getufsinfo failed" is basically your memory is dead. Got RAM replaced and it started working just fine again, without any loss of data. It was a hardware issue.
hi, My Oneplus 7 Pro (GM 1911) is bricked to the point that the volume/power buttons don't boot me into fastboot anymore.
I tried using the MSM tool. The first time it loaded until the point it got stuck at "Param Preload". Since then, at every try, it goes as far as 'Firehose GetUFSinfo Failed' at the 7 seconds point and disconnects automatically. The Power/Volume buttons however work when I connect the phone to the PC. Fastboot doesn't work, it just helps reconnect to the PC without removing the USB C cable. And when that happens, it again disconnects at the 7-second point at "Firehose GetUFSinfo Failed".
When I disconnect and reconnect my phone either by physically removing the USB C cable or by pressing the volume buttons/power buttons, I get the "Firehose GetUFSinfo Failed" error, but when I don't do that and click on the 'ENUM' option in the top left of MSM tool, the device is shown as connected again, and then when I click start I get the "Sahara Connection Failed. Please try again after power off phone (PBL:6)" error.
At this point, I've used several different drivers, USB ports (3.0 and 2.0), and different OOS files. This happened out of nowhere, I had OOS beta of about 2021 installed.
Try disabling driver signature on Windows. Reinstall the MSM drivers and try again. That worked for me

did you have the 'firehose getufsinfo failed' error? because someone I just spoke to said that the error means that the storage chip is dead and software isn't gonna do anything. I would need a motherboard replacement
Not really sure, about the "getufsinfo failed" part. Was some firehose error.
Hi,
What do you have in the Port COM section in your windows console device manager ?
Did you try :
- another sure USB cable ?
- another computer ?
ie : I had to change from a computer using a USB-C to USB-C port to an old one using a tradtional USB port to make msm work
I have the same issue with un-bricking oneplus7t "Firehose getufsinfo failed"... nothing is working for me.. tried everything, now i don't know what to do.

Bricked: How can I fix my Phone?

So I recently changed phones, as one of my main hobbies is tinkering with Smartphones and their respective OS's , I decided to Unlock my Xiaomi Redmi 9A (My previous phone) and flashed Ubuntu Touch to it as it was stated as a supported device, using their prebuilt simple installer app seemed to work but midway through the install the installer crashed and the phone powered off, When I turned it I realised it was stuck in a Bootloop, I tried Power + Vol Up for Recovery, that didn't work and neither did Power + Vold Down for Fastboot i tried ADB to push a command to enter EDL (Qualcomm Emergency Download Mode) but that didn't work either. Does any body have any suggestions for how I could get this device running again?

Yea sure, try flashing with Sp Flash Tool
(Btw this device isn't a Qualcomm procesor so no EDL).
You can solve it with Sp Flash Tool
Needs:
- Pc/Laptop
- Usb Cable
- Miui Rom ( Choose your version : https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/dandelion/ )
- Mtk Bypass Tool + LibUsb : https://www.bypassfrpfiles.com/2021/02/mediatek-bypass-tool-mct/
( You have some steps to do here - see the website)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Flashing :
1. Download all the things I gived to you + drivers.
2. Extract and open Sp Flash Tool and MTK Bypass Tool ( Be sure to install the libusb driver)
3.Open MTK Bypass Tool and click on Bypass button.
4. Hold all the buttons from the phone ( or try power + vol up / down, if all doesn't work)
5. When holding the buttons, connect the phone to the pc, wait a few seconds until it finishes to bypass ( Wait ~2 seconds more after bypassing - holding the buttons) ( Hold buttons - connect phone --> PC with usb cable -- wait like 2 seconds after bypassing to work properly.)
6. Open Sp Flash Tool.
7. Select your download agent ( MTK_AllinOne) - from program folder
8. Select your rom in scatter file section ( to be more exactly, choose the mt6765...... File from the rom)
9. Be sure to check Sp Flash Tool Settings - check if u have selected your device port
10. Where it shows - *"Download Only*" ( you can use that, but for me worked Firmware upgrade) - NOT Format
11. Press download button from up
12. If you need help, here is my discord :
