Every now and then my XDA2I inexplicably slows down to a crawl and equally mysteriously comes back to normal speed after several minutes. The only additional software I have installed (but not necessarly running) is Calligrapher 7 and OmniSolve (a calculator that allows me to use RPN.
Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

Slow down
It happens to me as well, think it's when the phone is calling home/getting a sync to the nearest beacon..
Mine does this too, the only thing i have found to cause it slowing down is the SD card i have ...
Its a cheap 1 gig card but when the phone slows down if i remove the sd card it will skip back to normal speed.
Very wierd and a mega pain in the rear...
Me too!
My new O2 XDA IIi has the same problem, a few times a day it slows to a crawl. I touch the screen, I count to three, then I hear the screen tap!
I'm on the verge of returning it.
I also have a 1 gig SD card - branded Bytestor hi-speed.
Any tips from anyone?
Thanks!
Conor

Remove the card for a week and see what happens?
I have the same problem with my Qtek 2020i, but I don't have a SD Card inserted.
maybe this?
I outstalled the onboard 02 UI software, (which is always unwelcome and distracting) and everything seems to be much smoother now. Could it be their software I wonder that caused the problem?
Cheers

Hi,
I have the same problems with no extended rom files installed.
I also have a Extrememory 1GB card which I blamed for the speed.
It got a little better after disabling Microsoft Voice Dial and the Pocket Plus today plugin, but these problems persist:
It is not possible to enable Wlan after having BT enabled, only after a reboot.
Sometimes the phone hangs when a call arrives (caller gets to the mailbox - very funny)
BT-Headset loses connection frequently.
BT-range is about 1 meter, than it sounds distorted.
Funny also that I noticed that there was no \Windows\Rings folder on my Qtek 2020i.....
BTW: Rom is 1.11.01 Ger. Radio 1.02
Where do you get updates from (in German).... :?: I know that the German xda2i have Radio 1.03 which does not seem to have the problems of my Radio.
Hello everyone,
we are developing a location based app and reliable GPS fix is a must.
We were looking in the chinese market for Android GPS enabled mobile phones to test the app.
We finally ordered two STARB92 M however we realized that their GPS fix is a pain to get let aside the accuracy.
I know, there are lots of threads in this forum how to fix this issue, we tried a few and I cant say we got any results, Specifically GPS accuracy is still a mess.
My question is simple.
Are there any Chinese brands that offer Android mobile phones with out of the box reliable GPS fix (sub 10 meters accuracy, no flashing ROMS, downloading apps, setting NTP servers etc) ?
If yes please advise on specific models (requirements similar to Star B92M).
Your help is deeply appreciated - we are a step before buying external bluetooth GPS receivers .
Thank you.
GPS
are you sure you want GPS to be that accurate in China?
Hii, Dears;
I've Jiayu G4 Basic with ROM 20130620-163509..and also I have some boring problem.
The problem is self reboot (crashing) very often.Phone is on use just for several months and I did not change any of original ROM, settings etc.
Rebooting happens when the RAM usage approach to the 800MB or above so I suspect main reason of problem is insufficient of RAM.
On the idle mod usually 500 MB or above RAM is occupaying (Is it normal) and when I opened two-three more apps then phone crashes.
Dou you have any experiences about this problem?
BTW sorry for my poor English
Regards
Hi together, I bought a cyrus CS28, because my phones broken in the past very often It is not easy to find a rough tough phone which is looks good. (more or less). But I have a lot of trouble with the phone: Android 6.0 (no newer android versions are annnounced) is onthis phone a little bit buggy....
a) sometimes the connection is not stable to known wlan networks and the connection is on off without any reason. Only a restart of the phone helps and / or the reset of the network settings helped. I tried to ask the support, but they asked me only - lease reset the phone and / or sen us the phone. But: I ordered a new one and there occures the same troubles during the first 2 days.
so my idea is to root the phone and install an alternative Rom. Is anybody familiar with this phone and suiteable Roms?
b) sometimes the microphone is not working and only the toggle between headset , hands free set(bluetooth) is helping.
so - my question is: could anybody help me to root the phone and install an alternative Rom?
Thanks a lot.
Hello, unfortunately there was no answer to this question! Now I have the same phone and the same question. May be there is an answer now?
Hi everyone,
i flashed on may Ace2 the current (20190202) CM11 Rom from Ace2Nutzer with the latest Kernel (20190521) on a GT-I8160P (NFC Version). I also applied GT-I8160P_Support_V2.6.zip patch. I want to use the device as offline navigation system using Here Maps. I didn't install any Google Apps or services.
The problem is GPS isn't working when no sim card is in the device. It doesn't find one satellite signal. I'm using "GPS Status" App to watch the GPS activity.
So my question is: Do I need gapps to get GPS working or why isn't it working without a sim. However when I insert a sim card he picks up a GPS signal.
Does anyone have a idea what could be wrong or a hint what i should try?
Thanks,
Chris
