Can i flash twrp with falshify on xef 6.0.1 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi i recently flashed xef 5.1.1 and ota'd to 6.0.1 and rooted with spacex kernal
My question is can i install twrp with flashify?
Thanks in advance
DONT DO IT! IF YOU DO YOU WILL END IN A BOOTLOOP
Solution:first of all root with spacex kernal
Then follow the guide on how to root galaxy s6 android 6 in this fourom and dont do the last part with installing the kernal and super su

Actually i installed with the root method for android 6 that was in this fourom and that what saved my device from bootloop after flashing with flashify if you want you can do it just dont install the kernal via twrp install the spacex kernal before hand because the kernal in the guide has missing fetures

Yes but you had to downgrade the bootloader. Still no root method for S6 MM XEF yet.

Yes there is root, flash the kernel from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...d-development/kernel-stockmod-kernel-t3100395 using Odin and then flash twrp 2.8.7.1 using flashify or Odin.
I have had root on 5.1.1 since last weekend.
Is there any faster way to get this firmware?
Now, I am downloading from samsung updates but it's too slow and will be taken 8 hours. Can I get the firm. through any cloud share?

Need your help to root my S6, tried most methods, no luck :(

Hi my device is Samsung S6 SM-G920I (Indian version), Baseband ver. G920IDVU3DOL5, it's running on 5.1.1, I tried rooting my phone, tried almost all methods available on internet but nothing worked, can someone please help me to do that, your help is much appreciated.
I don't know how to root DOL5 but if you really need root ,download and downgrade to DOK9 from sammobile (there isn't much difference between DOK9 AND DOL5) and flash unikernel 8002 , TWRP is optional

Try it again.
The SuperSU V2.71 does not work perfect, have errors. It does not support this version. Root makes only partial, some functions do not work.
Greetings.

Recovery for Marshmallow?

Hello all! I recently updated my Spring Note5 to Marshmallow! I quickly installed the Aurora Kernel to root it and got xposed installed via FlashFire. I was just curious as to if there was a Custom Recovery for marshmallow yet? I tried the latest TWRP and got stuck in a bootloop (soft brick). I was able to recover it luckily. Is there a working custom recovery yet? Thank you!
Here is the TWRP link for the Note 5 running marshmallow https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995314665

Twrp is working but I got stuck in a bootloader trying to flash the twrp update with flashfire Odin is best way I had to use Odin to recover out of the bootloop
The file that I posted you don't need to use Odin or flashfire just install the Zip file then you can boot the cell into TWRP

Hello
You cannot go from V3 boot loader (Oreo) to V2 boot loader (Nougat). Did you have stock Oreo installed?

Ok, LiteRom is Nougat 7
Option 1
Flash TWRP via Odin then flash LiteRom or any Nougat Rom
Option 2 (Easy)
Place phone in download mode (home+volume down+power) then flash Stock Nougat (via Odin) for your country Slovakia (TMS) from www.sammobile.com

No, i have LiteRom v. Oreo.
I have latest TWRP of course too.
Bootloader apparently prevents downgrade via Odin, but you can still downgrade via TWRP. You need to flash a custom nougat ROM that includes an older bootloader version.
Odin 3.13. and latest Nougat ROM available for your phone.
Did downgrade without any issues.

I tried flash Stock Rom via Odin-->Failed.
I tried flash several Nougat Rom via TWRP, but after Rom boot i got No Service (no signal).
After have i tried flash latest Nougat BL separately but i got error: sv rev. check fail (bootloader) device:3, binary:2 in download mode.
Any ideas please?
You can't downgrade the bootloader.
Stock nougat on an Oreo bootloader will cause problems with wifi, data, and possibly lose the IMEI.

Samsung blocked bootloader downgrades a long time ago. I think it started with the S3.

You may be able to run a custom nougat rom on the Oreo bootloader but not a completely stock nougat ROM.
