I can't find the stock recovery.img for the moto g anywhere online. I'm giving my Boost Mobile Moto G (running Verizon 4.4.2 on PagePlus) to a friend and I want to flash the stock recovery.img back on it so he can update/factory reset it normally. He's not a nerd like me and could screw up his phone otherwise.
Also I'm not sure if I need a specific recovery.img since I'm running Verizon firmware on a Boost Moto G. I'm guessing I'd need the Verizon one.

Just download the stock firmware and flash the stock recovery image from it.

Or download the img file with the moto tool that's floating around the faq

Did you find recovery.img yet? If so where? I also am looking for the stock recovery but my phone is the x1034 model. :-/
Hello!
I would like to save a backup of the whole original firmware of my Moto G LTE XT1039 before I flash any recovery images etc.
Is there a method?
Hi, I have a moto G XT1033 (dual sim) Indian version.
I would like to know if we can install the stock image of the single sim version (XT1032) in my moto G.
Will it have any consequences? Is it doable at all?
You have to convert it, but you'll lose the second sim (you can use it again if you flash stock xt1033). I have a xt1032, and don't know if the method in the link works, but you can try it.

Hi,
Im on cm12 on the moto g. I want to return to stock motorola 5.0.2. Do i need to have stock recovery (currently on latest twrp) and if so, where can I get it? Also where can I get the xt1032 stock 5.0.2? Lastly, can i just flash it over, or is there more to it?
Sorry for being a noob.

What would be the quickest way to accomplish this. I have stock recovery, bootloader, etc, just I participated in the soak test "testdrive" thingy and now I want to sell the phone so I want to put the latest official software on it. Where can I download it and what's the best way to flash it. The "Restore stock firmware guide" only has download links for 4.4.4 on XT1034.
Thanks for your help,
