Hello XDA! I just got the mate 7 and I have been wanting to update it to the latest stable ROM like marshmallow or even lollipop but I see that each ROM released by huawei has countries or regions associated with them. I also don't see any ROM associated with the USA. Can I use any ROM I want as long it says mt-l09?(I have the l09) model. Also, which rom is the latest with superb battery life? The original ROM b145 came with the phone is okay but I just want the best I can get.
I'm coming from the mate 2 with was running cm 13 so I'm like, why no cyanogen love for the mate 7.

Hello out there!!
I live France and have the Huawei P8.
My carrier is Orange
The build number on the phone is GRA-L09V100R001C109B121
Android version is 5.0
EMUI is 3.1
Custom version is CUSTC109D250
The phone is running great, no problems..
Can someone tell me if I'm running the latest version of the rom? If not, what is latest version for this phone?
Also, where can I go to get it updated.
Thank you!!

I can recommend PixenOS 10, it's the most stable Android 10 for 1+6 so far (expect minimum bugs of course) I've been running it for over 2 weeks now and I can almost call it a daily driver
If not you will still have to wait for OOS 10 coming this month (at least that's what Oneplus said lol)
Hi,
it's already 2 months I think since I've read that Android 10 (MIUI 11) started rolling on Mi Mix 3 but nothing yet ... I don't understand, I'm confusing things ?
Is there an Android 10 ROM for Mi Mix 3 International version ?
Thanks !
Yes. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/20-1-16-21-v3.54300/
This is the latest build with a January secpatch. The 9/12 version is better, imo.
MIUI 11 doesnt mean that base is Android 10. Currently latest global stable is on Android 9 with MIUI 11, update to Android 10 should arrive soon.
And xiaomi.eu mentioned aboce is custom rom based on china dev
I've received 5 minutes ago!
Android 10 it's available ??
It's here :fingers-crossed:
For those who installed it already, give us some feedback.. and one question, should factory rested be done before or after installing update? What is better, because i never did reset before, just apply update, but now would like to do reset also..
Got it... ?? Runs great... for now ?.
Anyone can capture the link please?

Dear XDA Community,
Sorry, this is probably a newbie question, but is it possible to update Android version when running a custom ROM such as Pixel Experience? To be more specific, I am still running MIUI on my Pocophone F1 and I am looking to flash something different soon, but I have noticed that there is a Beta version out for PE to be run on Android 11. The question is how do I upgrade if I am running Android 10 and the developers have not yet sent an update out? Who knows whether there will be an option to upgrade to Android 11 if Pocophone X2 is their priority now. Thank you in advance.
Hello mate,
Hopefully I have read your question correctly.
If a custom ROM is released for Android 11 you won't need the official system to be 11 first as the ROM itself will be built from/based on 11 so it will update your system accordingly when flashed.
Example, Nexus 5x ended official support on Android 8 but custom ROM builds took it to 9 and now 10.
As long as you follow the flashing instructions supplied by the ROM of choice you should be golden.
Hope that makes sense
Hi Everyone,
Got this brand-new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S that was running MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box. The upgrade to (still Android 10-based) MIUI 12 went without a hitch, but I can't upgrade to Android 11 via OTA, regardless of how many times I tried.
I know for a fact that an upgrade to Android 11 is out and abound for this phone.
My phone runs on a Global ROM (I live in France).
Do you guys know of a way to upgrade via OTA? I don't want to have to download and manually flash a new ROM.
Thanks in advance!

If it's running fast, stable and fulfilling its mission, let it be!!!
You'll get little or no reward for upgrading but more than likely lots of trouble and wasted time.
At least wait a bit and see what fate befalls other victim users
Android is in a high G flat spin and it's auguring in hard and fast. Pie was the last good OS these idiots put out, it just goes down like a rock from there
