Hello everyone,
So I've got this phone, my Brother had it for few months. I've bought some NFC tags and enabled the NFC but it can't detect. It's working with another phones. Not sure if it was working while he was using it.
Tried flashing another firmware but it bricked, and used the smart connect software to revert to the factory settings.
Has anyone had issues like this?

the complete story...
i purchased a new samsung galaxy s4 GT-9505 international unlocked, (it came from Rusia) and it had not the band for 4g in USA. 15 days later I just crash the screen and i took it to repair, but in the repair store they got some problems getting the new screen and they put one from another model, i receive once the phone and the touch buttons (to the left and the rigth of the home) were not working, i returned it to the repair store and after a month or more i got my phone back, but it has been flash with a Mexico (claro) firmaware, (AP I337MUMUEMK6) the only good thing is that the 4g was working. it has a problem that suddenly the wifi shutdown and you need to reboot it to enable it again, it became more often until now that it's completely death (the Bluetooth too), reading in the forums i found that it may be a problem of the firmware, so i flashed it with the version I337MVLUFNC1, and it worked just fine, including wifi and bluetooth, but after a couple of weeks i got the same problem, wifi shutdown with the Bluetooth and now is not working at all even if i flash it again, i tried using several rooms such cyanogen but i think it's not the problem. i'm not an expert in android devices, i don't understand where the drivers are, i guess that in the ap file. i know that the broadcome card that manage the wifi/BT is integrated in the main board of the phone, so i'm not sure if it could be a hardware issue, i think is related to software/drivers
what i'm traying to do now is to revert my phone back to the original version GT-9505 to see if it fix the problem, i got the samsung offical version (the 4 packages AP, BL, CSC and CP, but when i want to flash i got an error while trying to "re-partition" , so i download the "re-partition" table (pit file)for the GT 9505 form here, in one post, but before do this i want to come to you to get your advice, is it something i can do? or is there any other and better way to try to fix it?
in the other hand, if i got to work the 4g after the several week of repair, it mean that they finally change the main board too? basically, they change internally all the phone?
please advice.

Exact same problem!!

There is a known problem with a zero-battery drain killing the radio - i suffered it myself. Does that match any of your experiences?
I too am experiencing this problem. My phone died the other day and when I turned it back on there was no cellular signal. I can use wifi & bluetooth fine.
edit. I was considering replacing the antenna wires, don't know if that'll even help though. How do I troubleshoot this?
All of you check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/nexus-5-radio-refuses-to-t2834540
If your N5 runs totally out of battery, something happens to kill the radio module. I searched everywhere for a week for a solution - there isn't one.
Hello all,
I have three Rugby Pro (SGH-I547) and for the life of me can't get the NFC to work. I have tried ICS AT&T and JellyBean AT&T with no luck. Have tried using a NFC tag and NFC comm with my Galaxy Mega, nothing works. My Mega can read the NFC tag w/o any problem. Confirmed it's enabled, even found an AT&T web page that explained how to turn it on. All three phone same issue. Does NFC not work on these phones?
Thx in advance.
I recently picked my note pro 12.2 back up after some time sitting unused. I finally got around to getting the flickering screen fixed and want to get back into using the tablet more often. The issue I'm having now is updating to a more recent firmware. I'm unable to even check if I have the most recent firmware because I don't have a Verizon data plan or SIM anymore (long time coming) and it doesn't seem to want to update without that connection. Does anyone have a way to go about updating the tablet manually?
Also, is there anyway that I can flash the Wifi firmware on to the tablet so it ignores the fact that I have the data connectivity and acts like a wifi model? I've rooted multiple phones in the past, and as long as I have a good set of instructions I can do quite a bit but I'm still looking for an answer to this question.
Thank you.
you can use samsung smartswitch for PC: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/smart-switch
to get the latest firmware.
just note if you need root, the new versions of 5.1.1 are not yet rootable.
unfortunately this device has a locked bootloader so flashing a non Verizon firmware to get wifi only is not possible currently.
I have noticed if you have a sim card installed with no service (I have a Tmobile sim with no service currently) it drains the battery pretty bad as it keeps looking for service, connecting and then disconnecting.
I turned off mobile data in the settings which fixed that for me.
Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at updating it to the latest firmware. I don't need root, was going to do it if we could flash the wifi firmware.
Hi folks,
I've got my 2S for maybe 2-3 weeks, but found irritating issue..
I use to turn off cellular data connection when I'm not using it. In some cases (maybe 20%) I cannot connect again. The icon is turned on, still no app can connect to internet.
Since I've faced this in the past (on some SGS4 with custom ROM) I'm used to fix it by going into 2G mode, wait until it connects, then change to LTE. Then it works.
I'm running official Global 10.3 ROM (No root etc this time), 6/64, model name M1803D5XA, baseband AT4.0.c2.6-301-0326_0945_62d952e
Anyone knows a fix ?
I guess this https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/help/mi-mix-2s-lte-4g-bands-connection-t3919534
requires a root, right ?

Just found this old thread of mine.
Yes, that was the issue, and I couldn't fix it anywhow (the phone was not tampered with at all, original firmware)
FInally I returned the phone to warranty and got money in return
