Droid mini display - Droid Ultra Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If the display is on and all colors and shades looks normal, but sometimes goes crazy self selecting stuff like google search and some areas not touch sensitive, do I have to change LCD and Digitizer (front glass) or just Digitizer (front glass)

[Q] Dust under the screen and lighten pixel on black

Hallo, 3 different transormer tried and all have screen under the screen and shining 7/8 white pixels on black background, with a kind of scratches on the lcd panel emitting white light on the black, and the black is not solid like other colours but it has vertical stripes on the screen with different graduation of black. Obviously in all 3 pieces was present a strong light bleeding. The best way to check it is with a free program from the market called lcd test or maybe pixel test, put black screen on it in a dark room. Dust is well visible also with screen off, they are small withe pieces.
Any similar experiences?
I returned my first Transformer for a dust particle under the glass but in front of the screen - bang in the middle on the display so very distracting. I initially thought it was dead pixels but at an angle you could see the reality quite easily.
Luckily was able to exchange it the next day (gogo Mikro Anvika customer service) as they'd just got another batch come in the door - second one is flawless. Not other display problems other than the slight light bleed at a couple of points on screen edges on a black backgrounds - no big deal.

[Q] Display filtering light under soft touch buttons...normal?

Hi to all again!
I just wanted to ask you a question about the display light: in a dark room, when you turn on the display and the soft touch buttons will turn on too, I notice a little bit of filtering light in the thin "junction" between the glass and the thin "glass border" of the display...only in correspondance with soft touch lights...
This can be noticed if you look at the phone "from above", I mean not in front of it, but if looked from top to bottom...I just can't take good photos, 'cause there's a very little filtering light...but here's a try, just to let you understand where's the right place, see the attached photo...
Is that normal?
Normal? No. It's a minor build defect. Will they do something? I doubt it. =/
Hmm...I don't know if I have to send it back for this...but I'M afraid that another one can have another problem...
I have a Grey version...
It's hard to compare with your picture, but I can see some light shining from the edges of my phone too. A thing which bothers me a bit more is that the light from the capacitive buttons shines trough on the screen, so it isn't completely black at the bottom

On my phone is only on a part of the thin line (the "connection" between the real display glass and the "border" glass) below the soft touch button...you can notice it only in dark rooms obviously, when the soft button light is on.
GLUE Strip
the display is glued to the glass as I read on engadget.com. I assume at this point there is no glue there. Fixing will make it worst. I would say live with it

Then yes I have the same, but I also see it on the top edge when viewing web pages or something white.

I think I'll go that way after all...I just don't want to imagine turn back to "the waiting game (from one to another)"...
A sort of bad luck has taken me perhaps...I've found a stuck pixel in the top middle part of the display...seen only with grey gradients or with some other colors, invisible with clear black and clear white colors...

Screen

Hi, I have strange bright spots (while screen is black) and dark ones while lcd is showing white or other bright color. Also one stuck pixel. So I have decided to change the whole screen with digitizer, because the cost isnt so much higher compared to LCD itself.
Who could advice me where I could buy the cheapest and the best quality screen with digitizer included, or LCD itself.
My 5sec research gave me this http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LCD-Dis...HTC-Sensation-XE-G18-Z715E-/181086504744#shId
Is this ok?

white spots after installing the screenguard

I am getting white spots in grid after installing the screen guard on op3. is it normal or my screen broke!!!
It's in every phone visible in highly lit environment, moreover its happens to be visible only at a certain angle
Dust underneath the screen protector has caused this.
You got replaced original panel with duplicate one so it's common on black market panels.

How to deal with a working peeled screen?

My mate 8 is still working like a champ, but the top and bottom of the screen are peeled and it's very ugly (see the attached photos).
Currently I use a full body cover like this to cover that up. But the problem with those covers is that the auto-brightness doesn't work very well anymore because of the shade on the ambient light sensor.
Is there any solution for this except for replacing the screen and the stupid GLUE trick which might actually make the phone completely useless if not done right?
I was thinking it would be great if there was some sort of black sticker in shape of top and bottom bars where I could stick them on the screen top and bottom to cover this up (like black stickers with the correct shape of sensors).
Anyone?
hey, same problem here.
screen peeled off, but everything works.
i want to replace or glue it, how do i do it?
found online 2 versions of display, just the display and one with frame on.if i get just the display i need to somehow glue it to my existing frame - what do i use? liquid glue (like b-7000 or t-8000 types sold online) or double side tape (seen in a clip replacing a samsung display).
if i get the display with frame i have to move all the phone internals to the new display (battery, camera, electronic boards) - more money and labour.
those of you with experience, please help!
