This is a very condensed version of the full review. It is regarding the MTK6795 version of the Xiaomi Note 3. The Qualcomm Pro review will be up next week, as well as a comparison between the two varients.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 review style
Xiaomi puts an element of slickness in their new Note series, with the majority of the backpiece from aluminum. The upside to this is that it looks slick, the downside is that metal is softer than plastic. Even with somewhat light pressure, a fingernail can permanently scratch aluminum.
At the top and the bottom, the sides and back are of plastic, though very cleverly manufactured to give a metal appearance. The line where they meet the metal adds some character and unless looking very closely, we can’t tell that it’s of plastic as opposed to aluminum.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 camera
The camera on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 carries the Samsung S5K3M2 sensor and is produced by Sunny. The images in good light are well beyond adequate for social sharing, and good enough from medium to small prints. Colors are rendered in a pleasing way, without being over-saturated. Sharpness is good without showing evidence of strong sharpening artifacts.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 display
The display on the Xiaomi Note 3 is IPS [email protected] This gives us a retina PPI of 400. Viewing angles are very good, with only minimal color/contrast changes from extreme angles. Colors look very good, with a perfect balance between pop and laid back. Some users might prefer the colors to be a touch deeper/more saturated, but this is really up to taste.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 benchmarks
Antutu 6.0.4: With the Antutu test we’ve run both the latest 6.0.4, as well as the last release of the old school 5 series– 5.7.3. The 6.0.4 Antutu was ran 3x, with the lowest score at 48,061 and the highest hitting 51,310 with a 3D score of 13,115.
The 6.0.4 Antutu HTML5 test scores 12,658 which puts in in line with Xperia Z Ultra and HTC One M8.
Antutu 5.7.3: Old school Antutu gave us a solid score of 39,701 with a 3D score of 9,859.
Geekbench: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Geekbench benchmark hit 827 on the single-core test, which puts in in the Samsung S5 ballpark (938), and 4625 on the multi-core test, which puts a serious smoking on the S5 (2836).
3DMark Sling Shot: using ES 3.0, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 gave us a score of 804, which is in the same park as the Nexus 5 (980) and SnapDragon 801 OnePlus X (929).
PCMark: PCMark gave us a score of 4088.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 battery SOT
This particular test was done on low-brightness (<30%), typical web use mostly with sites we often frequent, some chatting, Facebook app, Line app. An excellent result, with a period of 34 hours giving 8 hours 25 minutes screen on time, 30 hours deep sleep and 4 hours wakelock.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 summary
A great looking display, great battery life, very good loudspeaker sound, solid camera, strong GPS, as well as the inclusion of compass, gyroscope and touch-ID make the Hongmi Note 3 a phone I would easily recommend to a close family member. Given the hardware, the pricing is right around where it should be. The Hongmi 3 is also no slouch powerwise and should provide well beyond enough juice for the average user, and me more than enough juice for the power user as well.

Xiaomi may be the darling of tech publications when they look to the Chinese smartphone market, but let's not forget that Meizu is the real pioneer of community-centric phone brands. As such, Meizu is sparing no effort to one-up its arch rival with its latest flagship phone, the MX4, as announced in Beijing earlier today. Thanks to the MediaTek MT6595 SoC, we're looking at an octa-core (four 2.2GHz A17 and four 1.7GHz A7) device that can connect to both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE networks right out of the box, thus beating the Xiaomi Mi 4 whose LTE variants aren't due until end of this year. More importantly, the MX4 manages to undercut the 3G-only Mi 4 by about $16 to $33 off-contract, depending on the storage capacity.
Like its predecessor, the MX4's 5.36-inch IPS screen maintains an unorthodox 5:3 aspect ratio, but with a slightly bumped-up resolution of 1,920 x 1,152. Compared to the standard 16:9 smartphones these days, the MX4 benefits from an eye-friendlier home screen as the icons are more spread out, plus the wider body can accommodate a slightly bigger pop-up video player -- a feature on Meizu's Flyme OS 4.0, which is a heavily but prettily customized Android 4.4 ROM -- when you're holding the phone in the usual portrait mode. The screen also takes up 79 percent of the phone's front side and has a narrow 2.6mm bezel, both of which look rather impressive. Meizu added that it's co-developed a screen sealant with Loctite that helps absorb shock impact, in order to reduce the chances of shattering one's screen when the MX4 hits the floor.
Despite the large screen, the MX4 is actually a phone I've enjoyed holding the most in its size category. First of all, it's only 147 grams heavy and 8.9mm thick (yet it still packs a built-in 3,100mAh battery) thanks to its aircraft-grade aluminum body -- one that claims to be harder than that of the iPhone 5s. Secondly, the MX4 carries an ergonomic curvature that's similar to that on the MX3, so there are no edges that would otherwise dig into the palm. To get to the MX4's Micro SIM slot, you can now simply peel off the flexible back cover, as opposed to using a pin to push and peel the hard cover off the MX3. The downside of that is you may feel the seam between the aluminum frame and the plastic cover, so hopefully the final production units will have a tighter fit.
Last but not least, the MX4 packs a 20.7-megapixel f/2.2 main camera and a 2-megapixel f/2.0 front-facing camera. While the latter's resolution is rather disappointing, it does offer a live beautification mode, which lets you preview the enhancements on your eyes, chin and skin before taking selfies. As for the main camera, its 1.2μm pixels will apparently handle dark environments just fine, plus its speedy image signal processor can handle 25 fps continuous shooting in 10-megapixel mode, 720p slow motion capture and even 30 fps 4K video capture. For the icing on the cake, there's a dual tone LED flash for better results when using flash.
The MX4 will be launching on September 20th globally, though only China prices are available at the moment: The 16GB model is just CN¥1,799 (about $290), whereas the 32GB flavor is CN¥1,999 (about $325), and the 64GB model costs CN¥2,399 (about $390). Pretty aggressive, right? And for the record, only the gray edition will be available to begin with, followed by a white edition and a gold edition. Much like the Smartisan T1, you can also purchase a liquid plus screen protection warranty for just CN¥89 (about $15) per year.

5.7 Inch 1280 * 720 Pixel HD IPS Screen
No.1 Note 4 looks Galaxy Note 4 very much, it also has 5.7 Inch 1280 * 720 Pixel HD IPS Screen, which provides me with the realistic visual effect when i watch movies. The 5.7inch size is a good one that i can treat it as a small tablet pc. So i can save money to buy a tablet PC. Whether i watch movies, play games, or view the pictures, the screen quality and screen color enable me to enjoy the good visual experience. This No.1 Note 4 has become my leisure device in my daily work and life.
MTK6582 Quad Core 1.3GHz + 1GB Ram 8GB Rom
No.1 Note 4 is powered by MTK6582 Quad core 1.3GHz CPU, although it's not as remarkable as Samsung galaxy note 4, i still am very glad to use it to play computer games. Because it is quite good and i didn't encounter something wrong when i play games or serach the Internet. Right now, i have no problems with it. The speed is really beyond my imagination.
8.0MP Back Camera 5.0MP Front Camera (Interpolation to 13.0MP Back Camera)
I also like photographing, if the phone doesn't have a good dual camera, i will not choose it. Fortunately, No.1 Note 4 has nice dual camera with 8.0MP Back Camera 5.0MP Front Camera and it can be interpolated to 13.0MP Back camera. Wherever i go, i take my smartphone to take nice pictures. Therefore, i can memorize the beautiful moment with my family, friends and others. At the same time, it can beautify my face with a quick shooting.
Latest Android4.4 kitkat OS
No.1 Note 4 runs Android4.4 kikat OS, which is the latest system right now. It provides more convenient experience, and operates faster than Android4.2 Jelly Bean OS. I guess that's the real reason that most people like Android4.4 than Android4.2.
Antutu Test
It has been tested by Antutu benchmark, and test score is up to 16757, which means it has nice overall performance, and it is better than other quad core smartphones.
Durable Battery
It's built in 2800mAh battery, which supports long standby. i have tested it, if i play games by this smartphone, it can support up to 6-8 hours working without charging. This one also have the function to save 30% power than the conventional one. The good and durable battery is very important for No.1 Note 4.
Support Gesture Sensing, S-Pen, google play store, multilanguage
In addition, it has a Stylus pen to help you manage your smartphone more simply and conveniently, it can support air gesture and motion to wave hands to pick up the phone or not, or view the pictures freely without touching the screen. This one has google play store to help me download what i want. I can also set up the language into my mother tongue. In all, it brings me much convenience and practice.
Therefore, No.1 Note 4 is a successful product to copy galaxy note 4 from the appearance, functions and other feature. It is much cheaper than Galaxy note 4. I guess this is also the main reason i like most the same as others. Welcome to share your opinion with me.

Xiaomi Mi4C Is Official With Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM & an Amazing Price Tag

Back when Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mi4i flagship in India, Chinese users felt a bit left out. The device was good in looks as well as specs and the local market could have used a device like the Mi4i. But little did they know that Xiaomi had something even better for its domestic market, and a few minutes back, it made the Xiaomi Mi4C flagship official. Just like the previous leaks and rumors predicted, the Mi4C flagship will be much better in terms of specs and value than its international brother, the Mi4i. I am sure after seeing the specs and the pricing of the new device, Chinese users will be delighted for sure. So, without wasting any more of your time, lets take a look at what this amazing device has to offer.

Looks wise, there’s hardly anything changed in the new Xiaomi Mi4C. You get the same smooth back finish with a strong rectangular body as its international brother. While this may sound a bit simple, especially in a market where metal bodied smartphones are preferred, the company compensates this clean look with its numerous color offerings. You can choose between five different colors according to your liking, including yellow, white, pink, blue and black.
But this is where the major similarity ends. Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi4C comes with the much more powerful Snapdragon 808 . On the other hand, the Mi4i had the slower Snapdragon 615. This is a great move from Xiaomi since 808 will ensure the fastest performance in its price segment, which is exactly what the MT6795 powered Redmi Note 2 did . There are two version of the Mi4C, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage while the othe r with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. With Adreno 418 GPU and the above specs, the Xiaomi Mi4C manages to score much better than competitors in the price range. According to the benchmark score revealed by the company in the presentation, the Mi4C managed to score about 57K on AnTuTu , which is even better than MX5 and Huawei P8. Clearly, you won’t be disappointed with the phone’s performance.
The display will be of 5-inches with full HD 1080p resolution . It is said that the Mi4C’s display will be 20% slimmer than traditional panels. The company has compared its size with the recently announced Apple iPhone 6S. As you can see, the dimensions are almost the same as the 6S, despite having a slightly larger display. Also, Xiaomi has made sure that the bezels are quite thin, making it around 30% thinner than average smartphones.
The company has also paid special attention to the Mi4C’s camera. The phone comes with a 13MP Sony IMX258 rear sensor with PDAF . This should ensure great images with fast focus. What’s more, the company has upgraded the algorithm to ensure that low light photos come out bright , with more detail and less noise. You can check out the image below to see how it works in real life.

Display:
This handset comes with 5.5 inches IPS Full High Definition display with 401 pixel density. The display sharp and vivid, flawless touch responsive with good viewing angles. The sunlight legibility of the display is also good. This is a certainly good display to considering this price range.
Camera:
This device comes with 13 MP Primary camera with single LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera. Both cameras capable of taking impressive shots, the images taken by this phone good detailing and clarity. But in indoor/low light scenario captures images shows slightly noise however, it can capture decent images in low lighting conditions. The overall camera quality good enough to considering in this price point.
Design & Build Quality:
The Le1s sports all metal body, device feels pretty premium in hands, but also feels little bit heavy, it’s only because of its metal built body, but no problem it is not a big issue, overall it feels pretty slim. The back panel of the smartphone is non removable, means you cannot remove the battery from the device, which is a good point. The smartphone measures 151.1×74.2×7.5mm and it weighs only 169 grams, in thickness it is just 7.5mm thick. Overall the Design and Build quality is fantastic.
Hardware & Gaming Performance:
It is boosted by a 2.2Ghz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10(64 bit) processor, along with 3GB of RAM, and it has a PowerVR G6200 GPU for videos and gaming. The hardware specs itself explained that how much powerful the device is, so really without wasting any time let us discuss about it. Overall experience with this device is pretty good or we will say very responsive, we have done lot of multitasking and phone feels smooth. In terms of gaming we challenged the device with industry’s most powerful to most popular small games like, subway surfers etc, as we expect small games runs very smoothly in this device, also when we tested some of the best graphic intensive games, it feels smooth too, in this device we have played Asphalt 8, NOVA 3, Injustice, Six guns, they are very fluent, to be fair we haven’t noticed any lag with the device.
Verdict:
LeEco Le 1s is a well performer, it is very smooth in terms of browsing experience. The device is well performing in all most every section, like we have tested some Games and we didn’t notice any lags. The daylight performance of the camera was awesome, in other words the device feels damn premium. If you want a beast in your pocket, and want to show off within your budget, then this is for you.

We have reviewed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 MTK, Xiaomi Redmi 3, Xiaomi Mi4i, Xiaomi Mi4c, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. Now it's time for the flagship beast Xiaomi Mi5, rated the most powerful phone in the universe for Q1 2016.

We really appreciate the users reading our reviews as we put many hours into making them. Thank also for taking the time to read our work.
Note, everything you see below except for the final summary conclusion is re-written from memory of the full review.
Xiaomi Mi5 Display
The display is great, and about as good as it gets before moving into Super AMOLED. Colors are rich and contrasty without being obnoxiously so. Viewing angles are great.
Xiaomi Mi5 review SoC Power
As we know, the Mi5 carries Snapdragon 820. This SoC has taken mobiles to a whole new level, making an incredibly leap over Apple's A8 and Snapdragon 810 from last year. Not only are the Kryo CPU's superpowered, the Adreno 530 is also a huge bump up from last year. This literally made Xiaomi Mi5 the most powerful phone in the universe according to Antutu for Q1 2016.
Even when throttled the Xiaomi Mi5 pushes 100k+ on Antutu. This test was run in 40c ambient temps! We see that what's mostly throttled is the CPU, the GPU is only moderately affected. Check it:
Xiaomi Mi5 MIUI Marshmallow Android 6.0
The OS on Xiaomi Mi5 is MIUI Android 6.0. It's very smooth. Because of the hyperpowered Kryo cores and UFS 2.0 ROM, apps load FAST. Sometimes as fast as if you had them already in RAM.
Xiaomi Mi5 GPS
GPS SNR is great. Cold lock achieved in 2 or 3 seconds. SNR is 30-40 in 8 satellites
Xiaomi Mi5 WiFi
Xiaomi Mi5 WiFi strength is great. Reaching 144ft/44m from home router with concrete wall between phone and router.
Xiaomi Mi5 Charging
What's beautiful about the Xiaomi Mi5 is Quick Charging 3.0. This chargest Mi5's 3000mAh battery to 90% in 1 hour, or 100% in 1h 15m. Wow. You can charge the phone while getting ready in the morning and phone is fully charged before going out the door.
Xiaomi Mi5 review battery life screen on test
Of course, quick charging isn't much of a help if the phone doesn't have good battery life. Luckily, that's not the case with Xiaomi Mi5. We hit 9 hours on our screen on SOT onscreen time Xiaomi Mi5 battery life test. This test is a 720p YouTube video streamed through WiFi with display at 140lux.
Does it mean you will get 9 hours screenon SOT time? Not necessarily, as this will depend on your use. Whatever the case, it's an excellent result and actually this beats the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 MTK6795 w/4000mAh by a full hour.
Xiaomi Mi5 camera samples
No good phone is complete without a good camera. We're pleased to relay that the Sony IMX298 is very good, giving us sharp pictures with realistic colors. This particular shot is HDR, but standard shots also produce good results. We have a full set of 60 images with 100% crops at the full review.
And, here we have a 100% crop from one of the pics. Remember, these pics are straight out of the camera (SOOC) with no processing other than reduce and save at 75% jpg.
Here's one more 100% crop of Floki.
Xiaomi Mi5 review summary
Battery life is great, charging time is fantastic, it carries a great looking display and comes with most of the goodies, including NFC, Gorilla Glass 4, infrared remote, gyroscope, step counter, and compass.
You can now own the most powerful consumer mobile in the known universe– Xiaomi Mi5, for a few hundred bucks– about half as much as the Galaxy S7. The Mi5 is a near perfect phone; super-powered with all components working great. If it’s within your budget, jump on it… You won’t be disappointed. If a bit too much, we recommend the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. Available at half the price of the Mi5, RMN3P offers great value and is a mobile you’ll be happy to own.
