[Completed] Rooting a Chinese unbranded Galaxy Tab A (SM-T350) - XDA Assist

Hi all, new to the forums, nice 2 meet U!
I am facing an annoying problem.
I got a Galaxy Tab A (SM-T350) from China, and it is unbranded and does not contain anything related to Google (Play services, Play store...) and instead came built-in with some Chinese stuff (Baidu maps, etc)
I tried rooting the device using Odin in the regular way (Auto reboot, F. Reset Time) to a corresponding firmware of my country/carrier. The root itself seems to have succeeded (PASS! on Odin) and the tab booted successfully.
The problem is that not only did it not remove all of the Chinese stuff, it also pops-up an annoying "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" dialog non-stop, making the tab completely unusable.
Is there any specific way that I should handle my Chinese unbranded tablet? I guess it's more complicated than just rooting like any other device.
Would appreciate your help!
Thanks,
Mor

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Please note that after rooting your device, apps do not automatically remove themselves. This needs to be done manually using an app like titanium backup which has root access and can remove system files. As for the errors, there is not much you can do other than revert back to the original firmware. It is likely the root process broke some of the system files on your ROM causing this error to occur.
Once you have reverted back to stock ROM, try out a different root method like using kingroot.

[Completed] Xperia z1c real stock firmware

So I bought a new unbranded xperia Z1 compact. This even has a chinese sticker in front. Also, it had some chinese apps like one to watch tv and those anime things. I rooted it and installed Ti backup. I selected option "Integrate updates of system apps in rom" and all my google apps stopped. I had the marvelous idea of uninstall google play and reinstall it, but nothing happened. After that, I tried to downlload Google play services. Succeed... Or not? When opening Gmail it said my phone wasn't compatible with Google play services. I searched for mymstock rom to flash it back and get everything back to normal, but even thought I have been all day looking for it, nothing happens. Can I get it back? With that rom, I could update ota and those things. Thank you.
Help
My phone is bricked now... Yes, bricked, not even a light. Now what?
Hi,
Unfortunately there is no section for your device, you will need to ask for help here...

You may need to contact the manufacturer for original firmware and Flashing instructions to get back up and running.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Need to re-install Android 4.4.2 on Prestigio PSP 5508 DUO

Greetings form South Africa!
This is my first post on this forum, so apologies if this is in the wrong section!
Needless to say I am a complete novice with android so I do not know where to start with troubleshooting.
I am in bit of a bind here. As the title suggests, I think I need to do a completely fresh install of Android 4.4.2 on my Prestigio SPS 5508 DUO.
Some Background:
I have rooted my phone with KingoRoot and for the last round used the Titantanium Backup app to uninstall the default Message app and The preinstalled office suite 7.
After that my Google news stand app stopped working with a message saying it stopped working.
I decided to do a factory reset, because I thought it might resolve the issue... That was a mistake it seems.
When My phone rebooted after the factory reset, everything was messed up. the setup wizzard keeps crashing. and I get error messages from almost all the google apps.
The Problem:
I have not backed up anything, so there is nothing to fall back on.
My question now is, is there a way to do a fresh install of the Android OS along with the needed drivers? - same as you would do when formatting your pc: fresh install of windows, install the drivers, then move on to the programs you use.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
EDIT: On the Prestigio site I have found a firmware update download, maybe something inside here can help? I wanted to post a link but apparently I don't have enough street cred!
Go to prestigio dot com and then go to the PSP5508 page and you will find it under support and firmware

[Completed] [Q] need help note 3 (SM-N9005)

hi there,
i have a SM-9005( Australian Telstra) which i bought used a couple of weeks/ about a month ago. NOT KNOWING WHAT I WAS DOING i tried to install android 5.0 via odin but, the thing that i did'nt realise was that it was the hong kong firmware after installing it i encountered a problem something like " binary (number) < (number) i figured that it was because when i decided to install it the storage was about 95% full and it only had like 300mb left so i just went into recovery and restored the phone. after successfully installing 5.0 i noticed that the phone was starting to be glitchy as in system would'nt respond (lag) no sound and camera and mic and calling wouldn't work. so i decided it was best to just roll back to the old os 4.4.2 and thats what i did. after doing so i realised that the same problems were still there "no in/outgoing call, no sound, no Google Now, no S-Voice, no camera, slow lock screen and slow settings" after trying to research and not finding anything that would help me ( mainly as my phone is Australian variant) i decided to install a custom rom Cyanogenmod, although this fixed the camera the other problem were still there and after trying to even restore from a nandroid backup via twrp recovery the problem has still not been resolved and well....:crying:

[Completed] Help w/ Installing CWM on Z3V

Hello, after a good two weeks of frustration and a soft-bricked phone, I'm happy to say that I've finally managed to root my first phone, with huge thanks to various threads on here.
I now, however, have run into another problem. Firstly, I'm using an Xperia Z3V, Android version 4.4.4 w/ build 23.0.E.0.376. I've downloaded BusyBox, ROM manager, ROM Toolbox Lite, and Titanium Backup (all suggested from another thread here). What I'm trying to accomplish is setting up a recovery w/ CWM, but according to ROM manager, my phone isn't supported, nor can I update my ROM (which I'm assuming is because I'm on stock ROM).
How would I go about getting CWM? Would I need Cyanogen, or another ROM in general? Or is the Z3V currently just not supported? Is it necessary to have CWM if I, say, just plan on using my phone for normal activities (I.E., Facebook, YouTube, Emails, etc.). The only thing outside of normal use would be upgrading to Marshmallow.
Thank you, again, for the tremendous help.
Hi
As explained here, XZDualRecovery should work fine on your device.

[Completed] how to change android on tablet

Hi all!!
I have a tablet (MIIA MT-733G) and it worked perfectly. Last month it took 2 virus (TIME SERVICE and MONKEY TEST) and now I just cant use ut anymore. It connects itselfs to data or wifi and starts downloding 3475364576340583760 of useless apps!!!!!
I rooted it, I tried to reset to factory, I tried to use apps to remove those 2 virus from the sys directory..but they are still there!
This is why I'm here! I'd like to do one last try. I'd like to remove the android sistem and install it again. I hope this way those stupid viruses will be deleted!!
And here it is my second problem! I don't know if there is a rom for my tablet, because it isn't produced by a famous mark like Samsung or LG or Sony. It has been produced by MIIA!
MODEL : MT-733G
ROM Version: ALPS.JB5.TABLET.GBXYHQV2
Could someone please help me? I 'm going mad..I really need my tablet, but I just can't use it this way !

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Unfortunately, I cannot see any resources on the site about your tablet. I would suggest contacting MIIA, for the stock firmware (can explain the virii problem), or even warranty work (if available, and especially if you didn't modify the device - i.e. root).
The virii could have rooted the device themselves by the way - all it would have needed is a hook like StageFright (and 4.2 Jellybean is very vulnerable to those things). Which means, option one (getting the stock firmware from MIIA) is a better option over warranty because it is likely this problem will happen again. And again.
Last ditch effort to find stock firmware here would be to make a thread in this forum (once registered for an account):

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
