hi. i unbricked my phone via B550 package, but id did B507 update after factory reset. now i cant install B550 OTA again ("software install failed")
and my question: what can i do to install newer version of Lollipop on my B507 (want expecially stable)?

I downgraded with Marshall M's tutorial and and now i cant upgrade to 5.0.1 every ota update ive tried has failed. (status 7) (yes even the ones i donloaded myself. {meaning not grabing the zip of xda})
Is there some kind of lollipop firmware i can flash. not an ota, but an actual firmware? (xml.zip)

Motorola has released new OTA update of 371.4 MB in India.
I read that since I am a rooted user I must not try to flash this update.
I would like the help from xda to install these updates. Should I install stock firmware 6.0.1 first?
Two ways to do it
1. Flash stock ROM 6.0from factory firmware link. Allow ota to download and phone should upgrade to 6.0.1
2. Flash the 6.0.1 stock ROM which is made available in factory firmware link. -Update: 6.0.1 is already the updated system with the new ota of 371mb.
Option 2 is more convenient.
While upgrading to mm 6.0 via ota, on my rooted phone I had tried flashing the stock recovery and cleaning the root. but it did not help and I landed with a soft bootloop. The ota checks for the original fingerprint of the stock system which is why you need to be on stock firmware for the ota update method.
You need stock recovery and stock firmware.

hello guys am new here i just rooted my phone and i have a custom recovery since then i cant install any updates i have android 4.2.2 i want to install lollipop or marshmallow i got many update files but none of them worked btw i need the middle east version.
you have to go back to stock recovery before any upgrade. where did you get upgrade files. i am looking for marshmallow b067

My XZ dual sim is telling me that 6.0.1 is the latest software update, but yesterday before doing a factory reset it was running the latest updat 7.1.1 !!
How can i update to Nougat again ??

Use flashtool and xperifirm to update to the latest firmware.

with build : MT7-TL10V100R00B131
i downloaded lollipop MT7-TL10C900B326 gives me error when updating..
also i tried Marchmello C185B560 gives me the same error
is there any recommended firmware or steps i must do to update the device to latest firmware ??
please help guys i am stuck on 4.4.2
