[Completed] HOW TO Revert changes on ui by xposed - XDA Assist

I have a rooted phone with xposed sucessfully installed. I have used some theme changing apps such as hk theme changer, Gravity Box,etc. The problem is that when i disable every module still my stock ui doesnt return back to normal. The only way to solve is to disable resource hooks but with that option i a not able to use any theming app. when i install cyanogenmod themes or do any kind of theming the disfigured ui still persists it makes my phone ugly.
PLEASE HELP

There is an xposed module called unicon that allows you to change icons system wide. It also allows you to use certain icon sets that some launchers do not recognize so it can come in handy at times for general use.
I cant make it work..
Installed the Unicon app, and made it install the xposed framework.
Trying to set a icon theme, and it does not apply anywhere...
What im i missing? I have seen others do it, from screenshots.

Hmm. Just guessing here. Did you enable unicon in xposed modules then reboot?
Jepp... nothing happened.

Not sure whats happening there. You might try reinstalling in case something went awry. Which rom are you using? I'm on lab rats.
Mickys rom right now. Tryed with stock earlier today. Cant make it work with either one. So clearly im doing something wrong.. tryed Unicon beta also.

Probably best if someone with similar set up can chime in. Might check and see if other xposed modules work properly. Sorry can't help more...
And there is program WizIconizer you can change icons but you need root.

Yup you will have to rip apart all the system apks and then rewrite them.
Installing themes

Actually yes,
If you are on a rom with theme support (CM, PA) then just go to the google play and download a lolipop theme.
WANRING: Installing Xposed can result in a brick or a bootloop. Install it at your own risk.
1. Download and install Xposed Framework (not available in Google Play)
2. Goto "Download" and search for HKThemeManager
3. Install it and apply the module
4. Now download a Lolipop CM theme and apply it.
Additionaly in HKThemeManager when applying themes you can select to only apply SystemUI.apk which will only change the animations (and a few other things)
Thanks. but is there an extra step on how to do that?
I actually tried that, I cant seem to notice if it was affected. Imma try that again or maybe I didnt not noticed because I'm not on PA or CM rom, but hey thanks for replying
It's noticable

Once you apply a theme, you will for sure notice. Changing the Systemui.apk will have a big effect.
Here's a lollipop theme for HKthemeManager http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/theme-materiyo10-1-t2846803

[Q] theme chooser custom rom

Hi ,
I'm trying to build a custom rom for the jiayu g4 with as base stock kitkat rom.
Now, I would like to add theme ability to the rom. Not with xposed framework or such, just a theme chooser like in the xperia and cm settings.
Can anyone help me with this? The intension is to have such setting (or app that I can link to settings) to easely change the theme.
If there's an option to do this, but specific for my kind of phone (so no theme's exist yet), I wouldn't mind theming a bit. In that case I could provide the users with 3 or 4 different UI collours and different icons or such to choose from.
Thanks,
Louis

You could try adding the Cyanogenmod theme chooser into the ROM and offer some themes for it but that isn't device specific as such. That would most likely be the easy option where something else could take a lot of time though.

Hope this helps

How can i add the Cyanogenmod theme chooser into the ROM? Isn't the cyanogenmod theme engine built in in the framework and very difficult to add to a ROM?

It is built into the framework and requires an AOSP based rom. Also the version for that OS had a ton of issues that were never fixed as it abandoned for the newer setup

So you're telling me I must not try to add the cyanogenmod theme engine? What would be the easiest way to add some theme's then? It doesn't have to be theming like in cyanogenmod or such. Just changing the theme collour from as example black to blue would be enough for me. Then I can provide them with the themes black, blue, red, green or such.
Thanks for taking the time to answer

To do what you want you would have to rewrite all the base framework files and add everything in by hand. To be honest it will be far more work then it is worth. Your best option would be to make flashable theme zips, where you change all the color options to each and every single apk in the rom.

wouldn't it work to just change the systemui or such so the status bar, volume pannel, settings etc change collour and maybe some icons (like wifi, bt,..)? And then I could search for an app that automaticaly flashes zip's, that way the users just need to choose the theme they want and the phone does the rest himself?
Or is there a way to implend xposed modules into the system so I can use XthemeEngine without having to install xposed module? Or implend xposed framework and XthemeEngine in the ROM so you just flash it with the rest of the ROM? But in that last case, it maybe would be stupid to do the work for it as everyone can easily find out about XthemeEngine if they realy want to apply some themes. Plus xposed and XthemeEngine would be 2 apps taking space in the drawer and memory wasting for the users who don't want to theme..

Well thats the thing. The volume panel color shares its color with the rest of the menus in the rom, The settings is set by the settings apk and the icons are scattered across a ton of different apks. Some in the framework and some in the system ui.
The xposed route is up to you. I find no use for xposed myself.
Ill be honest there is no easy way to do this. What you want to do takes weeks worth of work even for a single color theme. This is due to everything being cross linked to everything else. You change the color for say the clock then the color changes in 50 other places as well.

Navigation bar customization

Does anyone know how to customize the navbar in emui 3.1 on the honor 6. My navbar changed somehow while I was trying to flash a custom status bar zip. I've tried changing it with different apps like softkeyz but it doesn't change. I also installed busybox . I'm new to this stuff so please excuse me if I did or said something wrong
Maybe this app could not work on EMUI.
You can try to change the themes. Themes can have their own coustomizing navbar.
(And I just know that you can do it but I do not how to do)

If you mean themes from the huawei theme maker app, I can't even get the app to run on the latest version. The version before that does not affect the navbar no matter what the theme is

My mind is that you can try to apply some Themes from Huawei Themes App.
Or your mind is that any themes could not affect navbar?(No all themes can affect navbar...)

Navigation Bar Switch

Hello! I have been wondering if there is someone out there who knows how to switch Navigation bars. The Back button and the Recent Apps button. I would like to swutch their positions. Can I do it with the Stock ROM without XPosed by just editing system files? I know there is a way to do it with Xposed modules but I would like to try it first without Xposed if possible. I am running the Stock ROM , rooted. Thank you.

I think it's doable. You need to decompile SystemUI find navigation bar change position of back with recent, then recompile, flash SystemUI. :
Good Luck!
