Ransom32 - Security Discussion

Hi xda members.
My friend opened an e-mail attachement and all files were crypted by ransom32. Does anyone already encountered this problem?
If yes how have you solved it?
P.S.
If I write in the wrong section please apoligize me and move it in the right section.

Two weeks ago, my laptop was attacked by an ransomware. have all my files are encrypted - vidio and photo ((( besides, ransomware moved them. it was another blackmailer, not Ransom32.

Then my brother told me the site for the treatment of my laptop.
http://nabzsoftware.com/types-of-threats/crypt-file
The site has helped!
Now I make a backup copy of all files. It is important

It's true, a backup or a reliable defender is the only way

Most major security companies now have their own free decryption tools for different types of ransomware. I've found the whole list there https://malwareless.com/10-free-tools-to-defeat-ransomware-in-2017/.
Of course it's beter to make back ups of your files - it's the most reliable way to protect your data from ransomware

why cant i post a new thread ?

hi all trying to ask for help in th hero section and i get a to prevent spam you cannot add external links in you post only thing is im not ???
all im asking is a short question with the details of my phone and software any ideas ???
it ok ive added my details in my signature and its displaying everything now
because of lack of technology we cant tell if youre a spammer or not. therefore you can post external links until you have over a certain amount of posts.
try and make the link not clickable or writing the word dot instead of using a full stop
It was the info about my phone causing the problem so I've added it in my signature instead thanks for the info tho I can understand why now

[Q] Blogging App

HI everyone
I've been been blogging for ages via a Windoze NetBook - sorry for swearing and I use 'Blogger' as my platform.
Last week, I took delivery of my shiny new Transformer and have been blown away by 99.99% of it.
The 0.01% left is the poor selection of apps for blogging. I'm hoping someone here can give me a slap and point me in the right direction. I've been up and down the google play store and I think I've tried them all. I don't think my blogging needs are unusual, but there's no app that I can find that does ALL the following:
- Schedule posts
- Position photos ANYWHERE in the post
- Label photos
- Pick from my drop-down list of blog-labels (rather than have to guess what they are)
The closest I've got is the official app 'Blogger', but that won't let me schedule and it does an irritating thing of putting ALL added photos together at the bottom of the post - yuk! - Not much good for story-telling.
Anyone else a serious blogger who's got round this?
Thanks
Steve
I stopped blogging a while -- my private server got hacked, and got blacklisted by Google in the process -- but I think I'd prefer the browser interface. SInce you have a FullHD screen, it's not half bad. Although I was on WordPress, I expect the situation to be similar: the app was limited to say the least, and I had all kinds of plugins running on the side that were not supported by its interface anyway...
I'm using windows live writer in my blog hosted on Blogger. Not bad and is free. Give it a try.
U can have a look at my blog haroldchia.com. I used it to post my blog entries.

A good suggestion about the web version. But I don't think that allows me to create blogs OFFline. In other words, don't I have to be connected to the internet to use the full Blogger web interface?

Ah, that's new information. NO, I don't think you can actually use the online interface in offline mode - there's no facility to save posts locally.

Might this serve you (Googled it, to be honest):

It does have scheduling facility...

3rd in a row:
It does seem to have relatively intrusive ads. Here's the paid (ad-free) app:

(unsure if this supports scheduling!)
This app specifically states that one of its main points is placement of pictures in the text:

Blogger Apps
Thanks!
This is a good app. When I installed it though, I couldn't find the schedule facility. Seems to look different on a Tablet compared to a phone
Cheers anyway - good call

[Completed] Advertisements

What is going on with ads on XDA ... How can I avoid this when I access XDA on my g3 with chrome? Please see attachments ..
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Those ads/messages have nothing to do with XDA Developers. It looks like you may have been infected with malware, I'd suggest running a comprehensive scan of your device.
Good luck!
new info
http://readwrite.com/2014/05/15/app-redirects-mobile-spam-ads
The above link has info about what's going on and the information about how XDA can deal with the rogue ads that are being used on your site .. Most of the virus scan pop ups only appeas when the ad is on the page. Below are more pictures of the pop ups and then the ads. If you guys can please find the time to review the information it would be a great service to your members..
The article you linked to is not discussing XDA, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt. And, if what you're saying is correct then every single person who is accessing XDA via Chrome (or any browser) would be experiencing the same thing, but you're the only person who is reporting it to us. I use XDA heavily and I've never, ever, had a pop-up invade my screen while using the site on a variety of browsers on a variety of devices. I'll look into it for you, bit have you run a comprehensive scan of your device as suggested?

Hi, @dan0zone. After consulting with my colleagues it turns out there's a thread that's entire purpose is for users to report any intrusive advertisements, you'll find it here:

Please post your question/topic there, that way it will be investigates apparopriately.
Good luck!

You should probably talk to someone who has done it?, Samsung usually makes the Demo units not to upgrade in that manner.
Just get a real one.... Demo unit may not have all the hardware in it too?

I found one instruction . Download this and install . Oops , I can't paste the links.
It's from 4pda . I load translation later . For flashing you need connect watches via Wi-fi to your router. Are you can use WiFi on this demo unit?

For connecting watches to computer:
1. Install Tizen SDK, JDK 8 and reboot your computer.
2.On developer mode in settings ( I think it's ON in live demo unit ).
3.Disconnect watches from phone ( for not live demo )
4. On wifi on watches and connect to your wifi.
5. Open Tizen SDK IDE
6.In Connection Explorer add your watches via IP ( in settings ) , choose 26101 port and press Connect.
7.Wait for watches see your computer and press connect on your Gear ( sorry for bad english). If it connected , you see file tree on your computer.
I not tried to do it 'cause I don't have Gear S2 , this instruction taken from 4pda.

Doesn't this conflict with forum policies? I would think that trying to hack a demo unit which is not for sale to function like a retail unit should fall under the Warez policy.
"6. Do not post or request warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit members to request, post, promote or describe ways in which warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained or used. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community."
IF you want to disable Retail mode, Contact Samsung or the Retailer.
Such discussions without being able to prove ownership are against XDA Rules.

Can someone upload the SPECTRE content from Xperia Lounge?

I've got the Xperia Z5 Bond Edition but I can't access the Spectre photos, videos from the Xperia Lounge app, can someone upload them?
I think you can find them in themes and apps section
---------- Post added at 02:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:45 PM ----------
This is the theme if you need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3222738
I checked it but there's no content, as for the theme I already have it.
There wasn't much. A couple production videos, the trailer and the theme. The theme was a download and the others were links. Pathetic offering of special content compared to older Bond phones.
You're suggesting that there's no way to download them?
But you're Daniel Craig. Just get on to your agent and have him work something out with Sony. They'll probably helicopter out a replacement phone within the hour.

That's correct. Unless you want to download them off YouTube and upload them to the phone. This thread discusses the content, or lack thereof.
