do you have an idea where to find the offline charging animation of starmobile units? mine got messed up when i flashed an offline charging animation from some other forum. now my phone wont charge when it is turned off.
Offline animation
Need to check which one do you need....
Did you flash the rom of boot animation through CWM or using sptools? If neither of the two, then what tool and how it happened?
Btw, If you plug the usb in the unit while its off, does it indicate a red light?

i successfully rooted installed CWM and backup the entire ROM (not nandroid) of this device, I am willing to upload it if you want, maybe flushing back the stock rom will restore your phone in normal state...

Hi chleoj,
I potentially bricked my phone. My emmc is unmountable. Do you mind uploading your backup Stock ROM? I'm getting pretty desperate. I wasted a whole day already on this and I'm still getting nowhere.
Edit: I scoured the forums already, and I've concluded that it's irrecoverable via cwm. My only hope is with SPFlashTool img. Please please please help me!

It will definitely solve your problem, I was asking if you can access your CWM, because I also have unmodified nandroid backup...
I would suggest that you might want to try that first...
just put that nandroid backup on /sdcard/clocworkmod/backup...
Uploading now...

Thanks! I sent the thread starter an email, requesting a custom EBR for SMDiamondv7. I hope he would kindly have the time to make it.
Btw, There seems to be one tiny wrinkle with my restoration. When I go to settings, under the Storage menu - I can't seem to get the Phone Storage to mount. It keeps on getting unmounted?
Edit: Fixed the PhoneStorage problem by mounting my phone on my PC and formatting the internal storage [Fat32] using Disk Management! It's all good now!
Hi! I too can't reply yet through the development section of the forum [new-account limitations. Your files from mediafire and tut have been very useful. Your custom firmware is really great though there is still some minor glitches (usually the screen led turning off but not often just in very occasional manner). I really had been hoping you could lead me to the solution to my problem.
My phone does not show baseband version as well as imei. I've tried so many solution from diff thread but most does not work. I haven't been able to see this thread before only the 2 major dev. (which are rooting and the flashing).
I had failed to restore a backup of my old rom and system/user files because ignorantly at fault, I formatted the sd card though CWM, (i just re-mounted the rom zip to flash rom). But then, it seems flashing alone will not restore baseband and imei.
I'm thinking if it could help me restore baseband version and imei using a backup from another diamond V7 device (maybe you can give link).
I would try it by tonight using the system & userdate img from your mediafire page, and will post back if anything positive or negative came out. I'm crossing my fingers to fix the baseband and imei problem. Hope to hear from you. Thanks!

No luck for today. Using SP flash tool to flash system.img and userdata.img did not fix the unknown baseband and imei. Hope there was actually other way to fix this conflict. Thanks xda-developers.com and more power!
Visited the store last saturday to fix my unit due to imei issue. Luckily, under warranty, no fees charged and issues fixed. After having flashed the stock rom from manufacturer, I immediately made a backup of my rom and flash the modded S4 UI by chleoj.
The flashing was a success but the issue persist. I now have my imei but network connection seems off. I can connect to the wifi router and even through mobile data connection but cannot access the web. I am not sure what was the cause so I decided to re-flash the backup of stock rom.
Using the stock rom, no issue was noted. I can connect successfully to a network and even access the internet. I also notice that there was some system changes which was a different baseband version, it is now MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V6.P.13 which was used to be MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V6.P.8. Just maybe, the different baseband version can fix issues experienced from the modded ROM with S4 UI.
my starmobile was also bricked when i use a repartition tool, im not able to go to the homepage it will just stuck on starmobile logo. i tried to use the spf tools nothing happened even if i installed all the drivers.. it just says error on scatter file something..im kind of frustrated on this one. hope someone will help me on this.

PLEASE HELP!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I assume you want root to try to recover your files. Unfortunately, with Samsung devices to root usually means flashing an earlier firmware with Odin which wipes your device. That pretty much defeats the purpose. I can't find anything on XDA on how to root your specific device. You could try this but I don't think anything there will work for you, http://www.xda-developers.com/root/ Does your device boot and are you sure you can't access the files grim your current system?

Thanks for the response. The device is fine. The files were deleted by mistake. I took the device out of service so as to not overwrite the files. I hope someone can help.

I see you've asked this question in other threads, which is the best place to ask. So I'm going to close this thread.
Hey all this will seems to be quite an odd thread to all. but its been long i have been using generic HTC one S and i know this site very well since i bought my phone 3 years ago!
Very well, I need to know some basic stuff so i can get perfect mod and upgraded without making it available for my younger brother to play with it by throwing it on wall.
So a good help will be really appreciated.
Only couple of questions:
1. Best ROM that support Indian HTC one S models.
2. Best and 100% working method to get this done successfully.
3. Any way i can backup the generic ROM and framework and get things moving ?
please don't get angry on me, just help me to get my phone renovated.
Thanks XDA

Hi there,
Im a One S user, so PM me if you need anything or reply to this thread so everyone can see
Answers:
1) This matters on opinion, but I would recommend cyanogenmod 11 (or 12.1 as Lollipop). Don't do this yet, see answer 3 to back up.
2) I would just follow my next answer here but if you need a detailed reply, reply back.
3) Unlock bootloader, quite easy, and S-OFF first, in case you lose any data. Any music/pics/etc pls transfer to pc first . Then, after S-OFF (or unlocked bootloader) install a custom recovery TWRP by getting the img file, booting to FASTBOOT mode (If you are on stock OS then go to Settings -> Power -> Uncheck fast boot (This will allow you to boot into fastboot)) .
Then, if that's all succesfull, the rest is easy . Download a new rom (like my answer 1 suggests, CM11 or CM12.1) then flash it . I highly recommend making a nandroid backup in TWRP after this is done transfer to PC. With TWRP 2.8.7.0 you can enable MTP mode in recovery, and then transfer whole TWRP folder to PC. Then, give a full wipe twice for all partition in TWRP (except for USB-OTG obviously).
Any more questions please contact me or reply to this thread, thanks.
Hi guys,
I've got 60 phones to setup, and that's just the biginning. I looked for some solutions to mass deploy them, the fastest way possible. I of course already know titanium backup and applications like that, but i would prefer not to root phone...
I was pretty confident about a nandroid backup : flashing the recovery of the phone is really quick, and i would just have to backup on card or on usb on the go on the master phone, and to restore the backup on all the phone remaining. But it didn't worked as expected, it happens that on each phone, twrp is generating backup in a folder named something like "420khg66g6cca200" and which is different on each phone, and when you put the card in another phone, this one doesn't see the main backup.
I of course tried to sneak arround and generate a backup on the second phone, which i replaced with the content of the first one, but the phone doesn't even boot anymore.
I used twrp because i dind't find another recovery avaiable for the phone, which is by the way a samsung Xcover 3 also known as SM-G388F.
I tried to backup only system, system image, and data and to restore it and the phones is stuck on boot screens.
I tried to backup again with boot partition, same thing happen'd. There's something i don't understand tho, there's some warning about /system partition which can't be mounted when i look around on the recovery of the slave phone.
I'm on stock rom, no root. I looked for similar post (really), but there's mostly guys which make backup / restore on the same phone, and i didn't find my answer.
My questions are : is there someone's who did this before ? Why the phone doesn't boot anymore ? Is there something that's making the backup unrecoverable on another phone ?
In this case, is there anyway to bypass that ?
Thank you by advance.

ok, sorry for the wrong category.
Hello all
I don't want to be that guy that makes one post and runs for the hills I actually want to be part of the community, unfortunately this current situation is driving me nuts, to the point where I just have to post.
You see I own a cubit x17 that features quite a lot of bloatware and malware that needs removing.
I have rooted my device using kingroot and even gone as far as to install TWRP. I have downloaded a custom ROM for my phone that is saved in my downloads.
The problem is I just can't figure out how to install it...... I've tried everything from using TWRP to manual booting (there's not a single install option on the manual boot screen) and as far as I know no SD card in the phone and I cant seem to find the download folder from the boot screen.
Please can somebody help before I pull the remaining hair I have left out.
