How to use internet from more than one android phone in PC - General Questions and Answers

I have two android phones. I want to connect these two to a pc using USB tethering and combine the internet from two phones to use in the pc. I tried bridging in device adapter settings in network settings in Windows 7. It is showing successful bridge formation. But the effective speed not increasing but rather it is decreasing. Please tell any suggestions. Thanks.

[Q] Tethering

This question has probably been asked a million times but i couldn't find an answer.
On my HTC Hero (android 2.1), there was an option to tether once you plugged the phone into your computer. This could also be used as a wireless receiver for a desktop computer lacking a wireless access card. I was using this as a last resort after losing dozens of Ethernet cables to vermin under the house. Basically the idea was: connect to your homes wireless router on the phone, then plug the phone into the usb slot of your computer and it would share that wifi connection with your computer. Recently I have switched over to the all powerful HTC HD2 and I am realizing there is no way to do this, that I can tell, with the stock phone. Is there something I'm missing?
I have tried using the Internet Sharing option, as well as the CMInternetSharing.cab I downloaded from you guys, and neither seem to bring this ability to the table. Is there an app out there that can solve this problem?
Ussually a Custom rom will fix this most have the Internet share or WiFi router but you need to HARDSPL your phone. also theres a way for you to do it just deleting your or editing your REGISTRY.

Here is the Thread for the roms for your phone

and this is the rom I Recomend
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
use the Cookie GTX (white theme)
Follow the intructions on how to install it(rom) also onces done click on your Window button>tools>WiFi Router and you can use your phone as a wireless router also if you connected your phone Via usb to your conputer you can connect using internet sharing.
fixed the problem
WMWifiRouter has a wifi to usb mode.
will definitely be buying it after my trial runs out.

Share USB connection over Wifi/Bluetooth. Possible?

Is there an app/program or is it otherwise possible to share a usb device plugged into an android phone with a desktop computer, or vice versa over wifi or bluetooth. For example plugging a DSLR into my android phone and having it show up on the desktop computer as if it were connected via usb. There would be a ton of uses for this if it is possible. It would change your phone into a sort of wireless USB port.
there is software USB Network Gate with Win and Linux versions which probably could help you, but I don't know if it will work with Android...
I had run into USB Network Gate in my search for something similar for android. Seems like a great tool. If only it were able to run on android and was a bit cheaper.
Anyone know of something like this that will run on android?

USB Tethering - Unidentified Network - No Internet Access

I am attempting to USB tether Internet access to a desktop with a fresh install of Windows 8 Pro. The process works flawlessly on my laptop, which already has WiFi Internet access and is running up-to-date Windows 8.1. There is no software or updates installed on the PC, aside from that which comes with Windows 8 Pro. Windows Defender/Firewall are disabled.
The PC does not recognize anything stored on the GS3, whether set as MTP, PTP, or neither, making it difficult to attempt transferring drivers. I have a UWF-1 wireless LAN adapter meant for Onkyo receivers, but it shows up as "UB93" with an exclamation mark in Device Manager. I've located potential drivers for the adapter, but I'm unable to transfer them from my laptop to the PC without the PC recognizing files stored on the GS3.
I have a single DVD-R I could use to transfer, but as it is the only method of transfer I have available, and I have single disc, I want to load it up with all potential fixes I can come up with before burning.
Any suggestions to get either USB tethering or the wireless LAN adapter functioning? or getting the PC to recognize files stored on the GS3?

I don't really know what you mean but yeah let's make the most out of it.
You can Thether your Wi-fi on your Android phone and then connect it using 2 USB cables or you can turn on 1 Android wi-fi hotspot and connect the 2 Computers to it.
You can also turn on 2 Android wi-fi hotspots because connecting 2 pc on 1 Hotspot will slow down your Internet connection.
Well it depends on what you want to do exactly, cause android phones dont really support this. You can tether your mobile data connection to one PC via USB and use it to have internet, but the only way you can actually really have 2 pcs see each other through an android phone is through the WiFi hotspot, so if your computers don't have a WiFi card, this wont work. And plugging one phone to a PC and the other to the other PC will only give you internet on both computers and that's it. If you truly want to have both PC comunicate with each other without WiFi, the only option that's viable and won't cost too much is buying a crossover ethernet cable (cable with the transmit and receive wires inverted on one end) and plugging it in both LAN cards. That way both PCs will see each other and you will be able to share files on them, and you can even plug one android phone on one of the PCs to give it internet and share the internet connection with the second PC though the LAN card and crossover cable. Other than that you can also buy either a switch or a router and plug both computers on it with normal ethernet cables, but that'll cost you a bit more than juste a crossover cable. Also, note than you can connect ur android phone on the router if it has WiFi built in, but you wont be able to share the internet connection via the router. You will also need to plug it with USB and share internet via the computer which has the phone plugged in. Hope this helps even if it wasn't quite what you're asking, but it's the only way to do what you want without having to go all out trying to create custom scripts and all and risk bricking your android phones just to connect 2 computers together when you can just take a normal ethernet cable u have lying around and hack it up to convert it to a crossover without spending a single dollar if you don't want to actually buy a new crossover cable which might cost like 5$.
actually i want to play multiplayer games, i have wifi router in my home, but no wifi cards in both the computers, is there any option to connect both the computers using andriod phones,, like computers connect to phones(via usb), phones to wifi router ?
First activate internet on ur pc with usb tetharing, and do same job in second pc then try to connect both pc with any type of FTP software

Possibilities for Simple, Fast, and Attractive File Transfers with Stipulations

Hello r/android. So I'm trying to determine what my options are with transferring files to and from my phone to my PC. Currently I have a Verizon Galaxy S7 and my PC is a Dell XPS 15 9550. I've got some options that are almost perfect but none that are satisfying the file transfer experience I'm seeking. Here's the situation and what I'm trying to do.
Often I use my PC and phone at work to download business metric based files. Our company only provides us with old and feeble PC's with very few user permissions. I have a USB key that I carry around and attach to the store PC. I download the files to the USB and then move the key to my Dell laptop. I'll highlight relevant text on my documents as needed and then I want to transfer to my Galaxy S7 phone in my work document folder for mobile viewing as needed. We do have public WiFi at work and I can connect both the phone and laptop to it but it is extremely slow and clunky so I choose not to if possible.
Currently I've been using one of a few options on my personal devices depending on my mood.
-Transfer documents from Dell PC to S7 via USB cable.
-Transfer using Bluetooth file transfer. Reliable but not as intuitive as dragging and dropping using an app like Airdroid.
-Don't seem to be able to utilize WiFi direct. I believe the Dell 9550 wireless card is not capable of this.
-Use Solid Explorer on the phone to connect to the PC after setting up LAN connection. This only works though if both the phone and PC are connected to the same public WiFi network at work.
I guess what I'm asking is there something like WiFi direct or an adhoc network that will let me phone and PC communicate via WiFi cards without being connected to a WiFi network. Something that is also somewhat easy to use via drag and drop methods when making the transfer of files. If not is there an app that will offer a more friendly UI for the bluetooth tranfer where I can drag and drop directly into my work documents folder on my phone?
