[Resolved] [Q] Does your android device connect iOS hotspot?

Hi, I have 2 devices, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7' (Gingerbread 2.3.4) and iPhone 4 (iOS 5 beta 4).
I tried to connect the android device to iPhone hotspot to use Wi-fi. But it failed.
However iPhone 4 could be connected to Galaxy Tab hotspot.
To test my devices I borrowed several android devices, Galaxy S and HTC Desire 2. And then tried it again.
However, still my iPhone couldn't use the hotspots. (the other way, connecting my iPhone to the android devices works though.)
Also, my Galaxy tab can use the android devices' hotspot.
Actually, I saw several posts on this forum about connecting android device to ad-hoc network. And I tried to changed several wpa_supplicant versions. But It didn't help.
I guess ad-hoc network patch is meaningful if my android device cannot access any hotspot no matter what device is (android, iOS). But my Galaxy tab can access android hotspot. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

[Q] Same WIFI problem as Galaxy S4?

Hi
I just got my Nexus 5 yesterday and could not connect to the WIFI at work. People at work with Samsung Galaxy S4s are also unable to connect however the S3 and my Galaxy Nexus are able to connect fine.
There's two networks: a Guest network that doesn't require a password and a network that requires a password. I am unable to connect to either. The phone will say "Connecting" for a couple seconds and go back to "Saved". At home I'm able to connect fine.
I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues, or know of a solution. If anyone had an S4 and now a Nexus 5 are you able to connect to networks you couldn't before?
Thanks
Jeff
This will be an issue with the network not the phone.

Strange static dns problem with Wifi-Hotspot

Hello Community ,
usually i'm a silent user on xda because i find all solutions via search function.
Now i have i strange problem and i can't find a solution.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) with the latest stock Firmware from Samsung.
I have a Pihole (Raspberry Ad-blocking) at home and because of that i have set my wifi settings to static. (Ip, Gateway and DNS).
Now when i'm not at home and open a wifi-hotspot on my Galaxy S7 for my Laptop the laptop connects to the Galaxy S7 Hotspot but i can't access the web.
I found out that my Laptop gets a dynamic IP from the Galaxy S7 but the DNS keeps the same static IP like when i'm at home....
The Problem is i can't change that IP neither on the laptop nor on the Galaxy S7 because i'm not connected to that network (because i'm not at home).
I hope someone can help me.
(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language)
