Can I flash BTU Rom on EE Locked S6 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
After searching on XDA I found 2 threads relating to my Topic here, but both threads were unanswered so..
Ive just bought my S6 (G920F) which is SIM locked and Bloated with EE UK apps..
Would it be safe to ODIN Flash the latest OPEN BTU (920F) Rom onto my S6.. even though its SIM Locked.
Thanks

First, you probably can. I did the reserve and flashed a EE Stock ROM from BTU and it worked. Also, if it doesn't, you can always unlock your phone for only £8.99 from EE themselves. https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/device-unlock/

[Q] Flash Local ROM via ODIN Remove Region Lock?

Hey guys,
I have a G920F locked to all of Europe, if I flash an Australian ROM (where I'm from), will it remove the region lock and let me use Australian sim cards?
Same here
I've got the same problem / question for my European bought s6 edge g925f. I'm very tempted to flash to the Australian rom.
2 days ago I got in touch with Samsung Germany and got very quick replies. After giving them the imei number they said unlocking should not be a problem and they will get back to me with the unlock code "within a few days". I'll wait to give that a try first.
Did you try flashing the Australian rom yet?

[Q] S6 variants - which firmware/modem/bootloader is interchangeable?

I'm not as concerned about this for ROM flashing. I'm wanting to find out if my G920T can use G920I or G920F modems/bootloaders, etc.
Here's my deal. I have a T-Mobile G920T. To unlock this phone I need to get away from the G920T modem. I previously had a G920T1 (MetroPCS) firmware set installed and it worked great, but the rom sucked.
I've since restored back to stock G920T and i've rooted/twrp, but I see other ROM's and I'd like to give them a shot. The catch - they all say I need to have the newest OI7 firmware installed. I'm still on the G920T sim locked OH8. The only OI7 modems/bootloaders I can find are for the G920F variant. I can't find OI7 for the G920T1 variant. I don't know if the G920F variant will sim unlock my phone. I don't want to brick my phone to figure that out, so this is the reason why I posted this question. I can flash ROM's all day long, but if I can't use my Cricket sim when I'm out in BFE then the ROM is pointless.
Does anyone understand what I'm asking?

DO NOT flash any FIrmewares through odin if its isn't your model number, if you purchased your phone and don't have an EIP you could sim unlock with the app, so any rom your on unless its not Touch wiz based (aren't any available besides touchwiz)

Flashing Stock firmware on Carrier Branded S6

Hey guys, just bought a Galaxy S6 after selling my HTC One (M9).
Turns out the device is carrier branded to O2-UK.
I've read a bunch of threads where the S6 won't boot after stock firmware has been flashed with Odin, is it only with some phones or with all phones?
I want to get rid of the O2 branding and boot animation, so I downloaded a PAKISTAN firmware (since thats where I live), for my S6. However have not flashed it yet because of the stories.
Should I go ahead and flash it or will my phone be stuck on the S6 Logo as well?
The device is on Android 5.0.2 with O2 firmware, the firmware I've downloaded has Pakistan CSC and is a 5.1.1 firmware.
Device is SM-G920F.
Should I go ahead with the flash or are there some extra steps to take before flashing?

Wrote the firmware with success ! Anyone who encounters this, it's safe to flash.
