Z3+ vs Z5 Compact vs G4 vs chinese phone - General Topics

hey guyz, i'm interested in buying new phone. i like sony very much although it has a bad software. also i like new chinese phones like xiaomi and meizu, especially meizu. lg g4 is a very good phone so he's also on the list here...
well, i would like a phone that's software is best between these phones, that it hasn't so many bugs or that it's software is going to be updated for some time (didn't like @ sony's software that they forget about "old" phones, so i don't know would it be a good idea to buy Z3+ because it's older than z5compact...
also, it doesn't have to have a spaceshuttle of hardware but i don't wanna lagish phone. don't know where is snapdragon 810 hotter, in Z3+ or Z5 compact....
LG G4 ? i know that it's good, maybe the best of these 3 but it's the oldest one. i'm buying a phone on 24 months rate, so i want a phone that will last or that's price won't fall so quickly.
meizu, xiaomi ? software ? are the phones reliable ?
and what's that about sony's exiting from mobile phone scene ? just a rumour or ... ?
sorry if i'm asking too much, but thank you for helping me

Would like some input regarding new phone, Xperia X8 or Huawei U1850

First off, my apologies if this isn't the right place. I didn't see a "general hardware" forum and by my reckoning, this was the best place for such a thread.
Anyways, I'm looking to upgrade into a smart phone. I'm not a texter, and I don't want or need a data plan so I'm not looking for a particularly high end phone. So I'm looking at sub $200 Android phones. So far I've come up with either the Xperia X8 or Huawei U1850. Both older, and therefore much cheaper. The U1850 can be had for $140, the X8 for $40 more.
I've been searching on the forums and looking around but to be honest, there are simply too many threads and too much info for me to all compile together.
Hardware wise the X8 comes off much better, with a superior screen in size and res and a beefier processor, so I'm liking that. But my main questions are about third software support. I know the X8 is EOL and Sony Ericsson doesn't update it anymore, but community support seems to be strong and thriving. The U1850 seems to have a large community behind it as well. Basically, which phone can have more stuff unlocked and which one would still have people working on it in another year or so.
From what I've gathered, both phones can be overclocked, the U1850 can be made to work with multitouch while X8 development is stalled on that matter. 802.11n can be enabled on the X8 while the U1850 has it enabled stock.
Thanks guys.

jiayu g3 (chinese smartphones)

hi wanted to ask about buying a chinese smartphone (in particular the jiayu g3)
for the simple reason - it's more affordable!
i'm not looking to root it or do anything tech just want to keep it stock standard. been trying to find out more and mixed reviews. many people seem to like them bc they are easy to root (but like i said that's not a reason i want to invest) also i few people are saying there can be connectivitity problems using it in the uk/out of china with the 3g etc (hard to configure vpn setting or sth)
basically i want a reliable smartphone (at a reasonable price).
is it a case of you get what you pay for - there is a rep of chinese phones having bad build
here in the uk is that the main competetors are samsung iphone sony xperia
i like the adroid os hence dont want to go iphone but i dont like the new samsung galaxy serises (though currently use the galaxy s captivate i897 from the states)
i love the xperia z but its just too big i want a 4-4.5 inch screen
the huawei p6 is very sleekly designed but again not a big name in the uk therfore not sure about investing.....
in terms of design the bbz10 is exactly what i'd go for but i refuse to move to bb os.

[Completed] [Q] Should I buy LG G4 or wait for iphone 6s/7?

My sony xperia z3 is now dead and I need a new phone and I'm choosing between LG G4 which is now available in the market, or wait for iPhone 6s/7.
LG G4 because I think it is one of the best phones out there available that I can use for years, cool features and camera.
iPhone 6s/7 because I wanted to try something different, I wanted to try ios and since apple is gonna release the new iphone anytime soon, i think its better to wait if I choose apple rather than buy the currently available iPhone 6.
I want a phone that will last for years, a phone that I can bring while traveling without any hassle, good camera, good for games, good for everyday usage, an overall phone for short.
Hi there,
The best way to get opinions on this would be to ask in this thread:

Good luck

Would need some advice for buying an old (Or Used) Android device under 300Euros

Hey all. Thx in advance for assisting me.
Its going to be soon my 3 years with my girlfriend. My GF smartphone is done, ( Jiayu G3C ) she will need a new one really soon.
I was thinking to gift her with an old but still solid smartphone. I have currently a Galaxy S4 I9005. I´m thinking to buy her a Galaxy s5 Mini, Im not sure it is the best choice of a smartphone costing under 300Euros i´m scared its too obsolete and lacking power for Android 6.0, the smartphone can be used I don´t mind
Another concern would be if my galaxy s4 is faster (More fluid) than the s5 Mini have not a clue ( I can have for 260Euros a new S4 and 240Euros a S5Mini) . The water proof thing is cool in all but not the most important. the smartphone need to be under 5" screen and be 100% fluid fast other than that camera or sensors are just extra but not needed.
Thanks a lot if you reached here Best regards Peps

[Completed] Recommend Dual-Sim, Stock(-ish) Android Phone, 200$

Gents,
Will be travelling lots for my job in the next few years. Would like to get a dual-sim phone. Current phone is a Nexus 5X, which I do love, and that I got precisely because of stock Android - just about every single one of the Asian skins is complete anathema to me.
Budget is around 200 U.S., though could be convinced to spend a bit more if there's a sizeable gain to be had. Priorities : processing power, stability.
I ask here because I'm pretty sure I'll have to delve into the custom ROM scene, which I'm totally not afraid to do (I've flashed a fair number of ROMs before), but I'm afraid I might be forgetting a phone that has high community support. I know the obvious choice is OnePlus, but the 3/3T is way out of my budget.
My best options, I think, are either Redmi Note 3 or Mi5. Potentially a OnePlus 2, but those are a bit higher-priced. Any others you can think of, that are powerful and well-supported?
Cheers!
