I'm thinking of upgrading from KitKat to lollipop but before I do has anyone noticed any disadvantages with lollipop such as running slower out running laggy.
Mine's running fine on KitKat and to be honest I don't really know of any advantages of lollipop I'm only upgrade in because

guys i've got a big problem of my gaming performance on converted gpe m8y .
benchmarks are really good but the real game performance is terrible for my sense os.
(system ui and open apps multitasking is awsomelly good)
i think;
this will be apper of GPe kernels for not stable on 2.5 GHZ cpu of china models.
and i think some custom kernels will solve this problem.
but i couldn't find latest 5.1 custom kernels only for 5.0.1 GPe
is it will be problem for me?
Hello,
I am currently using Flex OS ROM 5.1.1 on my Moto G XT1033. I seem to be facing performance issues with my device lately. The stock Lollipop firmware that I had (5.1) started giving problems. I have tried using quite a few custom ROMs (5.1.1 and 6.0.1) but they haven't seemed to have helped much. I still face lag issues. My phone is a little more than 2 years old now. Could it be a hardware related issue? I am aware that the bootloader cannot be downgraded. Can I use a KitKat based (4.4.4) custom ROM with the 41.1A bootloader? I would like to see for myself if reverting to a KitKat based ROM solves the issue. As far as recovery is concerned, I am using TWRP 3.0.0. If there is any better suggestion, it is most welcome.
Thanks.
You can flash one of the available KitKat Stock or Custom ROMs in Development. Bootloader does not matter. There is a screen flicker issue that can be resolved by turning screen off once. Some ROMs have been created that include a fix for this.
However do consider trying the following Stock Marshmallow ROM as performance is superior to Lollipop and the experience is more polished overall. It is very important you follow the flashing instructions in first post exactly:
[ROM][FALCON][6.0][STOCK] Identity Crisis 6

KitKat is lightest and fastest, but marshmallow gets more supports. Lollipop isn't bad but it could be better

Does anyone have any knowledge of a theme for the S6 that'll make marshmallow look like the touchwiz lollipop? I like the look of lollipop more than marshmallow, but marshmallow runs much better on my s6.
Got this tablet secondhand for the wife to watch Youtube TV on. Unfortunately it looks like the minimum Android version is 5.0 and the official updates don't go that far.
What stable ROMS of the ones available here are at least 5.0 ?
Only one listed in Android Development .

best running rom on lollipop would be blisspop rom. Since it is also overclocked- thus running smoothly as a buttered crumpet.
