Downlaod this zip file from here
Now copy the zip file to the sd card.
Switch off the phone and reboot into recovery (By pressing power button + home button + volume up together).
Use volume button to scroll up and down through menus and home button to select.
Select apply update from sd card and select the copied zip file,
After the update is don reboot your device. Your device will be rooted and you will have super user app installed.

i am trying something from its stock recovery ie version <3e>
* i put some zips on ext memory card & internal memory too.
*<3e> recovery doesn't detect it all i m getting an error E:unknown volume for path [/sdcard] so cant do anything with that.
* i m confused between sdcard, sdcard0 & extSdCard. recovery doesn't show up anything of these. is it a virtual memory card thingy & fake recovery?
anyone suggest?

memory card detecting in recovery?
how to push it via adb?

Try to install clockwork mod recovery and apply the update from sd card.
This may fix the problem.

Bro u rooted new Galaxy young 6312? Which custom rom u using? does 2.3.5 or any rom lower than ICS available for this set?
Its not too fluent on jellybeans but running it so it will run GB without any issues.. As soon as GB ROM comes for this model i gona screem and buy it

There are no custom roms available yet. It comes with 4.1.2 officially. GB/ics roms wont be come for this device officially.
We need a developer for this device for that..

Framaroot
Hi Framaroot v1.4.1 worked for my GT-S6312 with Android v4.1.2 as well.
I picked the option 'Gandalf' during install and it rooted the device after a reboot. The only thing I had to do was change the language from German to English (Phone was shipped from Germany). The device is now rooted and I still have all my apps and data. Easiest root I've used so far.

After flashing Carbon 1.7 (A7) ROM, there is no problem but suddenly its start to hang and I have to remove the battery and then the bootloop at samsung starting logo, I've reflashed stock rom from GB to Froyo but still the bootlop happen and I've reflashed for more that one time and using various stock rom. So, does this means my phone is bricked?.

Phew, I was just to flash CarbonRom 1.7 [DEV] on my sister's Galaxy i9003 L, thanks for the warning
Regarding your problem and since your last action didn't help, why don't you give a try to this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787 - please have special care to follow all the clean steps.
Note: I don't really know if that could help, it's just what I would do in your situation (I'm very new to Android). Sincerely HTH!

Did you try to install full XXKPE using odin3 v1.85 only? maybe this will solve your problem

Well I dont think the rom caused it though..other ppl seems ok with it...I guess it just waited like a timing bomb...hehe

Done..checked every check box available but still the same...lucky still got warranty till 2014 :victory: hopefully they didnt discover that voided the warranty :fingers-crossed:

Galaxy SL dont making Backup
My galaxy SL dont making nandroid backup every time i reboot to recovery and select backup.The backup starts but afterwards stuck on any system file plz Help ! and how can i directly boot to recovery bcoz when i want to enter in the recovery mode i run cwm app in my phone. ! is there a way to direct enter cwm without open cwm app !

Switch off device and press vol.+/home button/power button for 5 seconds. Dont forget the secuency keep pressed vol+ then home then power. Search in youtube for a video.

Theres an app (online nandroid backup) at play store may this help you, i always use and prefer than cwm recovery backup.

First thanks for this... I have question that is there a simple rom for galaxy sl which i can easily port by using cwm bcox every rom i have seen is the installation process is very lengthy bcox of odin and i dont want to use odin !

First in what base rom you are now? Cm10/cm10.1/cm10.2 or sammy/stock rom? Only stock roms needs odin, all custom roms are flashed on cwm recovery.

the rom boot up on my phone but it have many bugs:
1.when you restore the user data it gives u a force close for system ui and it reboots
2.when u go to the system ui it doesnt even have hard keys like home or back
3.and the camera doesnt even work
but good job i like this rom just fix the bugs soon.

Please do and check your imei and tell me ... ..( settings-> about -> status-> imei relative info).. for soft keys... Try this
... Install exposed framework ... from xposed app and in xposed app under modules .. enable gravity box... Reboot... Open gravity box and select navigation button .. Enable them.... For now

.... Go to settings -> developers options-> Engineer Mode -> .under that swipe left and go to connectivity-> go to cds info -> go to radio info-> phone 1 .-> ull have a text box... With AT+ ... After that type EGMR=1,7,"enter your imei no here"
After you enter your imei no (don't leave any space b/w the number and quotes.. Click on send at ...you will get a popup... If success..reboot..if failed.. Well we will other thing...

That means ADB Not working,
When you trying lunch ADB SIDELOAD or ADB SHELL, RETURN "DEVICE OFFLINE"

And there is a one bug too
When you go from general menu to the Power Options - and then Reboot to Download Mode - and you go into the (Download) mode you can't exit from here with power button long press only it exits after battery removed.

I don't believe this is a bug of the recovery itself. I can't find a way to exit download mode even entered by using the hardware keys.
