i found this : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n9sRO346xqB2edzlyK4_tbXBnZRW0_oPm1Hde7uMQDU/edit
and after looking further into DU, it seems like they are no longer building.
Thats a huge disappointment
Looks like a lot of reputable builders stopped from what i've been reading all night. Hopefully they moved on to bigger and better things...
OmniRom just replied to me that the MXP is a WIP

Any of this going to be in your 3.9x experimental builds?

Is there a changelog, or feature list anywhere? I'm curious as to what'll be coming in the next release.
Awesome! Can't wait to see what is in there. Hope it doesn't cause too much of a headache to merge with what you have done.
Whenever I try to flash a Cyanogen build, it just goes back to JACHero, lmao.

As far as I know (there's a thread where Entropy answers this question), there's an Omni image for Moto G that boots, but there's no device maintainer for it... so, it seems like there won't be an OmniRom for our device, at least for now.

Well get OmniROM booting is easy, just there should be someone to mantain it, and I have not time anymore. Since next week I will stop on develop and to post on XDA threads forever, is why I did not create it.

What is the hold up with these sorts of ROMs? Are we still waiting on HTC sources to build?
Sorry if it's been asked but I couldn't find on phone.
You are welcome to learn how to build a AOSP ROM anytime you want. Doesn't look like there is any developers for AOSP at the moment. Never a dull moment here with the rudeness.

Pretty much CDMA doesn't work, audio is super sketchy, camera only works on play store apps, and mtp is broken and probably much much more that hasn't been discovered.
Any idea on the status of development for a Lineage OS ROM? Is there anything we could do to help? This phone already have a great battery life but I'm sure it would be even better with a clean ROM without Samsung bloatware.

@Le Penguino and @McFy are interested on it so there's an high chance A8 will actually get a working tree, but not in a less amount of time since it's summer now and since to get a really stable tree it needs lots of work and testing, expecially on Exynos lol

That sucks a lot since i had this device not by my own will it was a gift and from day one i loved the design rounded corners glass all black and most of the specs camera, ram, battery not the cpu so much but the software omg it suck so much ,i have a nexus 5x with a recent pie beta rom and even for an outdated phone it runs way better,i just wish someone had made a stock rom for this cause the specs are just a shame to throw way.
I would love to get LineageOS on my Samsung A8. I'm sure I'm not alone. Please keep this thread updated with developments.
I am interested too in a version of Lineage OS for the A8 2018. The Smartphone is very good for the price. But Samsung's Software is awful and I love the possibilities to customize the Smartphone with Lineage OS. I am looking forward hearing from the developers!

Actually it WAS a legendary rom, many years ago, when it was full of features, tablet mode etc. In later years it was just stock rom with very few additional features.
Nothing to be hyped about

This was genius.
