I've just flashed the new V30A kdz and I'm testing the new rom.
Everything is ok, the rom feels very light, but I'm lacking space in "system" partition.
For the V28B rom, xbsall created a "large version" with increased space in both system and data partitions.
My data partition is ok, increasing it would just be wasting internal sd space, but I would like to increase the system partition.
How can I do it?

Install the xball's large v28b rom version first and after install bootloader and recovery and then flash the v30a zip from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190261.
Little precision, before install bootloader and recovery you will have to enter in the stock recovery by pressing vol- and power and do a factory reset from there, reboot (that takes a while) and once rebooted go in setting/storage and erase internal memory. You can now flash bootloader, recovery and zip. I hope i have been clear enough.

Or just use my prerooted version here
Thanks guys, but I want to increase only the system partition.
xbsall's large partition bin rom has both system and data partitions increased, but I'm ok with the default data size.
I've done some searching already, and I'll try to use the "parted" command in terminal to make the change myself.

Why?
Hi,
before I brick my smartphone: is the internal storage a real GPT partitioned thing which can be changed by gdisk, parted and friends? I'll change only the things starting with cache - and only sizes & partitions, not the overall layout. I would like to squeeze the unused cache-partition to a few MBs and reduce the cdrom-partition, move the system-partition at top and increase the userdata partition.
Best regards,
mifritscher
Any infos on this one? Could I recover from a completely broken flash via fastboot, qdload or sdboot?
Ok, I tried - and failed *g*
I partitioned with parted - and the kernel accepted the new partition table as well. But it seems that the phone either blocks write access to the GPT, or has its own internal version. Because after a reboot, I got the old partition table again.
Luckily I had a backup (with I needed for repartitioning anyway), and both fastboot and recovery worked. TWRP was only a bit refused regarding the broken partitions, but it could both reformat the partition and fire the backup (with I did with dd and gzip) before).
So the big question is: How can I unlock the emmc to write to the GPT?

You can try to use the guide as you like, but i remember you that you must have philz recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684895
thanks, i will give it a try
Flash old CWRM, connect via ADB, and use "parted". That old parted version bundled doesn't know ext4/f2fs yet, so you have to delete and recreate the partitions instead.
Afterwards fash back to TWRP, and recreate the file systems on the resized partitions. fdisk on TWRP can't manipulate the partition table on Samsung devices.
Keep in mind that you can't change the number of order of partitions, only their sizes. Minimum size for partitions you don't want (e.g. /preload, #20 HIDDEN) is ~4MB, with less you won't be able to create a file system on them, and ROMs attempting to mount the partition will encounter an error.

Solution for 0 MB storage in TWRP
Hi Brothers!
It's my first time posting here , so if i make a mistake i am sorry in advance for that.
Solution for 0 MB storage in TWRP is very easy.
You need to boot your phone into TWRP.
In 2nd step you need to go to WIPE option .
Select Data and click on FS Options e.g. trying to change its partition format, most phones use Ext4.
Do same with the Data.
And TADA!!!!
Your problem is solved
I hope it helps you guys getting answer after a long time because i saw it late. Sorry for that.

It should be solved.
Hi my YU Yuphoria 5010 started acting up since last week ,when i noticed that the phone was restarting randomly and the settings was missing and even if i clicked on the settings logo in the notification panel, nothing would happen .So i decided to flash a Cusstom ROM instead and boot into recovery. While trying to wipe cache, dalvik and data I got an error message "uable to mount data, cache ,system(invalid argument) and internal memory* was showing up as 0.So i thought my phone was bricked and tried reviving it with the sd card method. But everything else except for system flashed , and got an error FAILED (remote: flash write failure ) just for system .Anyway now I could boot into recovery using fastboot boot command and the internal memory started showing up correcty. The fastboot command is the only way i could get into recovery, if i try power+volume down it would just come up with the empty battery logo. After this i installed qualcomm drivers and manually changed the driver to Qualcomm HS-USB QD Loader 9008 and tried flashing through QFil with a flashable stock ROM and ended up with the error message:"Download Fail:System.Exception: Unable to download Flash Programmer using Sahara Protocol** at QC.QMSLPhone.Phone.QPHONEMS_SaharaArmPrgDownload(String sFileName)** at QC.SwDownloadDLL.SwDownload.QPHONEMSSaharaDownloadArmPrg(UInt64& version, String armPrgPath)
Download Fail:Sahara FailSahara Fail".
But after going through some of the posts I found that my phone might not be bricked in the first place. My device just shows up as 'Android' under Other devices in Device Manager.
The following are the details from device manager.
Device type: Other devices
Manufacturer: Unknown
Location Port_#002.Hub_#003
Problem code : 0000001C
Physical Device Object name: \Device\USBPDO-6

I also tried to restore through TWRP recovery using the back up my brother created on his YU 5010A to no success.Changing the file system type and back to ext4 also didnt help. I use a Windows 10 64bit Laptop.
What could I possibly do to revive my phone?Kindly help.

open TWRP recovery.Go to wipe section and select advanced wipe option here .Now select data and cache from check boxes.then click on change partition format.Select ext4fs .Wipe it then wait for sometime because sometimes it takes approximately 15-20 mins so be patient .It will successfully wipe and then you can see that everything is up to the mark !

flash stock cyanogen rom again. Then install TWRP. Cross check at your end. We actually don't know which process you are following!
I have a YU5510A running Quarkos and YU5010A running AOSP Extended. I also flash a lot of custom Roms but never get any issue.
did you find any solution for this i can only access cyanogen recovery and fastboot mode .

Flash stock ROM using fastboot
For yu5010a you got fastboot package
Open flash all.bat
Just remove device code
02x1ebf or anything I don't remember what it was.
Remove it from all lines
Save flash all.bat
Run it

If any one got error in mounting using twrp
Just follow steps
Goto wipe -> advance wipe-> format data->
Type yes
Wait for process completion
Now reboot twrp to recovery
You see everything is mounted successfully.
Note :- with this step you format everything from your phone so don't reboot to system
Now connect phone with pc and copy any downloaded custom ROM in external SD
Flash it
Enjoy
I was trying to backup of stock ROM through twrp backup without installing by loading fastboot boot twrp.img and take backup of stock rom system.img userdata.img through twrp recovery...
it loaded successfully but while taking backup its not able to take backup its giving error that it "cant mount storage" its not able to select sdcard microsdcard and internal memory to showing 0 free space
I Google and founded solution for same problems 1st solution was to give screen lock pin and password and use the same password to decrypt I tried but it's showing wrong password.
Second solution was to use wipe data in two recovery menu and go to advance option and select repair and covert ext2 filesystem but all I selected it's unable to mount internal memory also
Thirdly I tried twrp 5.4 mage but same problem exista
is there any way to mount and show the internal memory or external sd card in twrp recovery image any suggestions help please
Another question is it possible to incorporate infuse busy box super user am pm commands in twrp bootloader image so that we can use rooting functions from bootloader image.
