remake partition
try remake partition
for windows
run -> diskpart can remake partition for your nexus s
command sequence: select disk, select partition, delete partition, create partition primary
for linux
terminal -> fdisk
am gonna try it at once...
I found my disk of nexus s but it seems that i can handle partition...
it saying when i type ''list partition'' only one partition the one of nexus s..
the i command select partition=1
and the respond is no partition is found..am i doing something wrong?
yeah am sure now i just check select partition of another disk on my computer and is ok...
the system doesnt letting me to touch partition
here is the picture of cmd while giving commands...dunno what am doing wrong.
i achived to select other partition from other disk and it was fine but not on nexus.

image size is too small to recognize.
when you select partition, diskpart displays what?
first i select disk example ''select disk 2''
''disk 2 is now selected''
then i press ''list partition'' so i can see how many partitions there are there (there is only one)
then ''select partition 1''
''there is no partition selected''

I'd first trying using Diskpart, and if that doesn't work, try flashing Stock using the command prompt. Like I mean full stock and with everything erased and whatnot. There's a guide somewhere in the forum's if you search for it.
Give that a try and let me know.

i have tried many thinks till now....it doesnt seem like i can fix it really.
the only way to give command and take some feedback is from bootloader...
example(fastboot flash recovery.img)
(fastboot flash system.img) etc
when am trying to copy-paste something on sd (after mount it from cwm) its lost when i go back to mobile...
thank you for your time reading all these bro!:good:
Are you seeking to save the current data on your storage or you can afford losing it?
have you tried to format sdcard from cwm?...,..
if u can mount scdard from usb to computer ,.. u can use any partition software or even windows disk manager to format sdcard,...have u tried?
I've modified EBR1 & EBR2 to increase the partition size as follows--
/system = 1 gb
/cache = 200 mb
/data = 4 gb
But, i'm unable to flash it, as neither I could create scatter file to flash it with sp flash tool, nor I could make a flashable zip to flash via recovery.
Please, give suggestions, what /system size would be better to suit our development needs.
Also, please tell me how could I create a modified scatter file to flash these EBR files via sp flash tools or please help me, to create a recovery flashable zip file.
Also, I'm trying to increase /recovery partition size.
I'll upload EBR files very soon with above mentioned sizes.
Thank you all, specially Dr. Avi for his roms, and lets be a team to make our Xolo Q3000 much better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, I've come up with the CWM flashable zip, with the partition size as follows-
/system = 1.5 gb
/cache = 200 mb
/data = 5.0 gb
Download link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9c3NsdJ2PscWVRQTk5adGNLUE0/view?usp=sharing
Mod with 1gb /system, 200mb /cache & 4gb data partition:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9c3NsdJ2PscMVowbWJtMVFsMnM/view?usp=sharing
Procedure:
1) Place zip in your sd card, don't keep any data on phone storage.
2) Reboot to recovery(TWRP v2.8.4.0 rev1 recovery is prefered)
3) Back up your current rom to sd card
4) Wipe system, cache, data, dalvik cache, android secure & emmc also.
5) Install downloaded zip file
6) Reboot
It will be a bootloop, don't panic, remove battery to power off, place it back and go to recovery by pressing vol up + power button.
7) Now, you may see some error related to cache/ recovery.....
8) Wipe system, cache, data, dalvik cache, android secure & emmc also. Error will disappear.....
9) Restore your previous rom or flash a new custom rom
x) Reboot
In case if, there is bootloop or any problem, don't panic, go to recovery and again format /system, /data, /cache and flash custom rom.
Now, we don't have to think of /system partition size to port ROMs.
It's an outcome of lot of hardwork, so please be gentle, even if you face any problem while re-partitioning & I'm here to see u, whatever ur problem is.......................
Special thanx to:
Keanu_ritz & Tirta.agung for their guide,
Digyvijaykumar123 for CWM flashable zip &
Dr. Avi for his co-operation & appreciation.
If you appreciate my work, just press thanks button.
Flash at ur own risk, I'll not be responsible for bricked devices............................

Very good initiative.
Thanks.
1 gb system partition is more than enough for development.
u can get recovery flashble zip from this link. just replace EBR files.
U dont need separate scatter file for flashing for the first time.
After flashing u need to create new scatter file using mtkdroid tools which has to be used for further flashing.
Also this link is useful.

I've already mentioned, it would be a boot loop, but you don't have to worry.
read the procedure carefully and follow the steps, you will get the partitions same as in screenshots.

Ohhh
great.
I already tried.
If u know any method please share.
Following dont work-
changing scatter address (rom get flashed but it wont boot in recovery if its more than 6mb)
changing mbr file ( i already tried)
My conclusion - its related to uboot.bin which is device specific.:good:
Best luck:good::good:

I think we hv to calculate, binary values for every partition after, if recovery partition is changed and scatter file should be corrected accordingly......
already partioned
I have already partioned my apps storage by some other mean....so do i need to partioned by this method and will this help me some or the other mean..

hello i got a Q102 A31S tablet,
i flashed a wrong CWM .
i try to re flash it with firmwares for this model . i got 3 differents firmwares :
from livesuit all say " image file invalid"
from phoenixsuite " error 0x162 mbr down"
with phoenixcard, i can make a bootable microsd as "product" : the tablet boot with a red rectangle progress bar,
and stuck here,no progress, even if i wait 2 hours.
if i burn card as "startup" its boot from extsd and work, but with no intsd card mounted, 2go internal storage instead of 16go,
and apps/browser cant save downloaded content " no sdcard mounted"
i tried with FElix-master from github (windows version)
if i try to flash image or rewrite mbr with the command "ruby felix --mbr sunxi_mbr.fex"
i got a error , 'cant write new partition'
so i just wonder if the cause is the wrong CWM , or if my tablet is just dead ?
what can i do if programs cant rewrite partition ?
thanks if someone can give me any hint for a solution .
Hello, everyone. These days I'm trying to port twrp recovery to my device, but it occured that this recovery need at least about 16 MB free space in the recovery parition which my vender left me only 6 MB space.(눈_눈)
I tried to use the fdisk comand in terminal emulator,to edit the android-scatter.txt in the usb flash package,or to edit the mbr and ebr file, but all these did nothing but turned my device into a brick.
Is there any solutions? Is it possible to put the recovery in data parition and lauch it?
Thanks for help.
