United Mediatek Development for MTK6575 (*no more updates*[emoji23]:highfive:

This is a project started by me for the development of our SOC. All the other SOC's have moved ahead in their development and we are lagging behind them. Even some MTK6577 SOC's have got 4.2 and most of our phones are still on 2.3 or 4.0.x at average and 4.1.x is very rare:crying:
This will be a thread for developing of some groups of particular specs so there is an ease for porting
If you want a new group and/or a new device pm me. dont reply for request. replies are only for debugging, porting help, etc.

Hey there guys, it's been a long time since I updated this, this is probably the last update as I now rarely use xda due to my studies so I won't be able to update this thread anymore. I m searching for cwm recovery and custom rom for my rooted hcl me y3 tablet (based on MT6575,CORTEX A9 1Ghz(single core with integrated graphics),1gb ddr3 ram,1080x600 wsvga display)...plz help me....

I can not help you in searching custom rom, but you can create CWM recovery through MTKDroid tool. Check this page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2379412

get a ctr recovery instead
its for mtk devices and based on cwm 6.0.4.4 and is full touch version (credits- master shifu yuweng and carliv)

Well you have done a lot of development for your tab but as you know there is no source code for our devices
U can't update your tab unless provided by the manufacturer or a clone of your tablet has received a jb update
Mine is a clone of Pap 4040 duo and i m tryin to port the lg's jb to mine but it uses a mtd partition and has NFC so a big problem
Find a clone and see whether it has a updated kernel or not. By the way what's your kernel version?

From what I can tell custom ROMs might or might not flash seeing that everything is ALMOST identical the problems may be the TS cause the Xolo A600 has a bigger screen and uses Color IPS screen, Where as the Xolo A500S uses Color TFT screen, both 16M colors. So with that said both use same chipset and OS and GPU so your chances are 50/50 try it out if not you can always flash back to the ORIG ROM but I suggest you make a complete backup of all your important data and even your ROM if you do not have one or cannot find the ROM from the provider. Also there may be someone who ported some ROMs for the A500S that work on A600 so you might want to do a search here and see.
I found this post for you here on XDA as I supplied for you has your ORIG ROM.
PS: I did notice that there is a A500S and A500S IPS you did not list your full phones specs.

Currently, I can say that there is no custom rom for your specific device on XDA.
Have you tried by Google, maybe you can find something.
I try to find something because your device had this chipset : 1GHz Cortex-A7 Dual Core CPU, Mali-400 GPU, MediaTek MT6572 chipset
